Well, stories change as you write them, and as they go they could decide they need less (or more) of her. They're just paying her to be available to them for X number of episodes, and if they decide they need less, they'll determine whether paying her for an episode she doesn't appear in is worth it or not. I'm not arguing that she'll be in fewer episodes than she's contracted for, I'm arguing that factoring her wanting to be on the show into the equation is absurd. If that mattered, only disgruntled people would ever be written off.

I'm guessing Roy and Diggle weren't mentioned because there hasn't been much mentioned about their storylines, so it was harder to make up something plausible.

Yeah, I don't expect an adult Felicity to ever show up in another Green Arrow comic. She's such a divisive character for fans of the comics that I just don't think it was a smart move to put her in there in the first place. Even if she never had a relationship with Oliver, the possibility would be hanging over everything (kinda like the endless parade of Black Canaries for some people wrt Arrow). I'd like to see her stick around in some capacity though - I liked how they used her in Bombshells.

Dumb. Diaz is an idiot, and Laurel's nomination only works if she was still in cahoots with Diaz and blew him off the rooftop specifically so he could get away (or as an accidental villain at the end, since she was trying to be good for Daddy and wanted to get some revenge).

DC is selling Nazi!Oliver merch at Comic Con, so I don't doubt they'd sign off on an ill-advised redemption storyline for Siren-X.

I'm curious about *how* they're going to reintroduce Laurel into public life. Her most prominent role in Star City was as DA - and I can buy a lot of things, but I cannot buy that a lazy-ass criminal with no desire whatsoever to do any actual work is going to somehow become a lawyer in 6 months (even if that was possible). Are they going to retcon her having gone to law school on E2 or something? That would've been handy to mention back when she looked at a law text once and managed to come up with a legal strategy the actual DA couldn't even come up with. Or are they going to have her doing something else?

No it does not. She utterly fucked his plan to capture Diaz, and he went to jail with his wife and kid in protective custody SOLELY BECAUSE OF HER. If she made it so he got locked up with some peace of mind about his family, sure. But no.

Yeah, there's value to the work they're asking for, and whoever submits it should be compensated or at least be offered something, whether they want to take it or not. Maybe the people whose work has been selected have received an offer of something after the fact? I can't say. But it should be offered from the start IMO.

It's true, no one has to submit their artwork, and if that's how they want to (or the only way they can) donate to a campaign then that's their choice. On the other hand, I do take issue with people who have the financial means to pay someone a fee soliciting work for free from a group of fans they know will be more than willing to do it. It feels like taking advantage, even though people are voluntarily doing it. And I'd say yes, it is different then someone writing a fanfic prompt. This would be more like SA asking someone to write a fanfic prompt for a book that he's compiling with proceeds going to charity, but his name plastered all over it and the writers are only mentioned once, when he selects the authors who are going to be included.

Yeah. I don't have an issue with them having overhead or anything - I know there are costs associated with designing these shirts and getting a website up and running and whatnot. I just noticed a lot of fairly vague language about how much of the proceeds from these shirts are going to charity, and I was a) wondering if they post about their donations somewhere that I've missed in searches and/or b) are transparent about how many shirts they've sold, accounted for the money they're keeping and where it's going, etc.

I don't really follow Shethority - have they announced which charities they've given money to and how much? Looking through their social media it just seems like a vanity project to drive merch sales and self-promote without much transparency. Hopefully they fix that when they launch their website.
