  1. I’m glad they had the proper time to discuss the Simpson case today, focusing on the victims. It was clear yesterday that Whoopi had absolutely zero interest in discussing it.
  2. Whoopi’s skepticism over the Princess Kate mystery becomes increasingly annoying. First of all she’s absolutely wrong about Americans being far more interested in the story than the British. Not true at all. On the extremely popular radio call-in network LBC this story is often the subject of discussion. The only thing different is that conspiracy theories aren’t allowed due to libel laws.
  3. So Joy finally got Covid, apparently. She’ll be out all this week. I hope she’s getting through it OK.
  4. My god, Billy Porter is insufferable.
  5. I’m wondering if the new Star City head will “out” Margo as a way to taunt the US. It would seem a logical thing for the new hardliner Soviet government to do. And could this lead to the US to attempt to “extract” Margo?
  6. So it’s a possibility we’ll see Putin as the actual leader of the Soviet Union? Yikes. So perhaps total worldwide nuclear annihilation in the series finale? With the Mars folk stranded forever? In this episode I only stopped to watch the Kelly/Aleida scenes and the ones with Margo. I don’t care about Bad Makeup Job Ed or anybody else. Well, maybe Danielle. As for Danny I like to think the production regime finally got a clue how universally hated he was and if he does return it’s a photo double playing the role of his dead body.
  7. I’m aware of that but that doesn’t strike me as a reason “the boys” weren’t mentioned.
  8. I think the Ghost Diana scenes are justifiably being ridiculed in some reviews. They’re awful. Not once in either “conversation” are “the boys” ever mentioned. I can only assume this was intentional on Peter Morgan’s part to avoid wallowing in sentimentality but still. I thought the Ghost Dodi scene was absolutely unnecessary, too.
  9. I agree with Hisam-he and Mecole could indeed have made for a formidable pair in that house. But Mecole only seemed interested in being part of a resurrection of The Cookout so them’s the breaks, toots. So Izzy and Blue were the only ones who ever knew about Cirie/Jared? Shame that Survivor nerd Cory never figured it out because he could have used it against Cirie during the later stages. I enjoyed Cameron’s looks to the camera when Mecole labeled him a “hero” and when he won AFP. Not quite John Krasinski-in-The-Office-level but enjoyable, nonetheless.
  10. Did you get a load of BJ’s parents? The mother looked like a frigging Aussie Vanderbilt. Or maybe a Murdoch. And Mother cooed that she and hubby went on a three week “holiday” but kept up on BJ’s time in the house. How sweet. Something tells me their “holiday” wasn’t at Ayers Rock. Mother no doubt has the best dentist and on-call hair stylist in Australia, too. Anyway I assumed Jag and Matt clocked how prosperous they looked. Of course it would mean zilch in their decision to drag her into the F2 if either of them wins but still.
  11. I’d prefer a twist where another group of HGs are revealed to have been playing in another house since August, aware that their game wasn’t being televised. And then on Finale Night the F2 from both houses get voted on by America. The nation, I mean, not the HG.
  12. I can’t decide what I’d rather see (and I realize this is Fantasyland): Cory blowing up Cirie’s game by outing her as Jared’s mom during his live on TV speech to the HGs or for him to whisper the info in Jag’s ear as he heads out the door. I suppose the latter would be more fun from a game perspective. Jag would assume Blue and Felicia knew about the familial relationship and he, Matt, America and Bowie Jane would then unite in getting all three of them out one by one.
  13. Good for Cory. As I posted several days ago it made no frigging sense for Cerie’s win on The Traitors to be ignored and glossed over.
  14. I totally wouldn’t put it past this damn show for revealing in Season 4 that Bradley and Laura were at the Supernova music festival in Israel, Laura was raped and murdered and Bradley recorded all of it on her phone before her miraculous escape.
  15. All hail Cameron, the rural juror…I mean the first juror. To quote his favorite dramatist Mr. William Shakespeare “Parting is such sweet sorrow.” Actually it should be “Thou ne’er receiveth goodbye messages because thou sucketh.”
  16. Yeah, well, then they’re idiots who deserve to end up losing to her. I would assume Cory knows all about her Traitors win. I just don’t get it.
  17. I remember Cameron mentioning Cerie and The Traitors early on. I don’t get why he’s not at least bringing it up again to campaign against her, telling the others she won the dang thing. I know CBS Viacom/Paramount + is not happy with The Traitors ever being the topic of conversation because it was put out by a rival company/streamer (NBC/Universal for Peacock) but it would seem to me this fact could resonate with the other HGs. Cerie frigging won The Traitors because her calm demeanor and charm totally hoodwinked her fellow competitors, some of whom were reality show vets like Rachel and Cody. I don’t get why Cameron doesn’t use this as a Hail Mary pass.
  18. I don’t think it was a coincidence that Sunny mentioned her grandfather was Jewish before launching into a defense of the Palestinian civilians in Gaza. On CNN last night there was an Israeli soldier who made it clear that many of the brutal assaults on Saturday were perpetrated by Palestinian teenage boys (on bicycles) who were not technically Hamas terrorists. There is plenty of blame to go around regarding those who committed those incomprehensibly barbaric acts on Saturday. I feel that Sunny should be more careful about using generalization when expressing her sympathy for all Gaza civilians.
  19. I really do hope the flip works and Meme is gone tonight. She’s done next to nothing in the house except bitch to the cameras in the storage room about how much she hates the others and how stupid they are. I suspect her exit might be somewhat startling because it’s possible she’ll finally let it rip to their faces as she heads out the door. I have faith in her that she will only allow Felicia to hug her. Also I think she’ll be grateful to be back in DC just in time to be there for the vote for the next Speaker of the House next week. As a political operative I think if she’d missed that she’d be a tad pissed.
  20. The only reason I’ll be sorry to see Felicia go is her uproarious laughter when Zingbot comes to call would have been quite something.
  21. I’m still holding out hope that Cameron is again keeping his actual target to himself and his actual target is Cerie. He’s smart enough to know that neither Cerie or Felicia would vote for him in a F2 and Cerie would be especially adept at misting the others against him. Cory is the most likely of all of them to vote without making it personal.
  22. Geez, that was an AWFUL episode, absolutely terrible. Incredibly slow pacing and badly shot. The credited director was someone called Cherien Dabis, which I think is a fake name/anagram because the “direction” was so embarrassing and downright inept. And that was NOT 35th/Broadway-the exterior street area of the Snitch N Stitch shop was clearly somewhere in Queens or Brooklyn. I loved last week’s episode. The directors (Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini) did a great job. I really hope next week’s finale is good. Because I thought this penultimate episode was horrendous.
  23. I’m getting kind of tired of Sunny making assumptions on behalf of black voters. I wish Joy was able to get across the point that Sunny was underestimating black voters but she got talked over by Sunny and Alyssa.
  24. The entire episode was about those British kids? I don’t like to criticize child actors but they were NOT GOOD in this episode, particularly the girl playing Jamila and the boy playing the older brother. They delivered their lines stiffly with low energy. The little girl was stiff, too. but also sweet and managed alright with a few of the “comic” lines. Otherwise this was downright dire.
  25. Those kids are working my last nerve. It really is a mystery to me as to why Apple TV + just didn’t dump this turkey after Season 1.
