  1. I really hate Maxie's storyline and wardrobe. Peter is such a boring character and has no chemistry with her. He needs to leave the canvas. It is ok for Maxie not to have a relationship right now. Maxie is a widow with a small child. Maybe her veteran friend, Chet?, could introduce her to a support group of military widows and widowers who have small children. Maxie could also focus on her career. The actress has gained a little bit of weight (Storms looks great and seems healthy, so I am not criticizing her.) Why can't there be a storyline where Maxie deals with having gained weight due to the stress of becoming a widow and just having had a baby? She is an editor of a top fashion magazine. What if she had difficulty finding stylish clothing that fit her. Maxie becoming aware of how plus size women ( KS is NOT plus size BTW) are treated by the fashion industry? A scene of Maxie and Nina looking at the choices available to plus size women could be great. Imagine a montage of these clothes being tried on and snarkily criticized be the duo. Maxie, in her role as fashion editor, could take on the industry. Maxie is a very determined woman. It would be great to watch her challenging designers and retail stores to offer decent and fashionable clothing to women of all sizes. She could interview and write a great series of articles about "real" woman finding beautiful clothing that they can afford when they are over a size 14. Instead, the show's stylist dresses the actress in the most unflattering clothes they can find. I often wonder if producers and stylist do this to "punish" actresses for the sin of not starving themselves and choose to maintain a healthy weight. Maxie has always had a fashionable wardrobe. There is no way Maxie would dress in such an unflattering way.
  2. So true. Not all of us have 65-inch screens and perfect vision! I was squinting for every one of them, and they were the primary content of the film, so it was odd. I can't understand why the filmmakers made the text messages so hard to read. Having a white background and gray text does not make easy reading. 😞
  3. As soon as I posted it, I realized that you probably didn't intend the comment to be passive aggressive but maybe felt like your opinion was being invalidated so I edited the part out...clearly not in time, lol. Anyways, all good. No harm, no foul...I just wanted to make sure you knew that there was zero ill intent behind my respond 🙂 This is what I love about this board. Two members disagreed and resolved the issue with respect and civility. Now all is well. If Meghan could learn to disagree without being disagreeable she would be a happier person and would not repel her fans and coworkers. :)
  4. How is the will of a 16 year old dying from a brain tumor legal? He is not a legal adult and the tumor could have impaired his judgement. Alexis was his lawyer and she knew about Shilo and DoD shenanigans. Why did she not let Oscar know or give the executor, Jason, about Oscar's intentions? Jason would have helped Oscar make a better choice about better organizations to leave millions of dollars to. He and Alexis could have helped Oscar to establish a charitable trust.
  5. Colin is not a pig like Travis and Jack. He is secure in himself and respects others. I hope his parents come back to surprise him this season. They are such lovely people and raised a wonderful son. :)
  6. On Flipping Out, Jackie Siegel was too much for Jeff Lewis to deal with.
  7. The next charter's primary guest, Jackie Siegel, is a heinous human being. She was a subject of the documentary Queen of Versailles. She and her husband were on Celebrity Wife Swap and Flipping Out. She is the epitome of vain and shallow. Her 18 year old daughter died a few years ago. She hired a photographer and posed for photographs at the FUNERAL. I feel so sorry for the crew. They have no idea of what they are in for.
  8. I think it was easier for Sandy to find a 3rd stew than a chef. Anastasia did a great job this charter so she promoted her to full time chef and hired another stew. However, because Anastasia is a new/untrained chef, Travis is needed in the galley to cook for the crew. This leaves the deck crew short staffed. Poor Travis did not sign up for that. What Sandy should have done was either hire an assistant chef or arrange for most of the crew meals to be brought in from shore. Is there not Pizza or other fast food in the Med? I am not being snarky I am really curious about the fast food available in the French Mediteranean. :)
  9. I saw that too but the look Sunny got was the worst that I've seen. That includes the looks Paula got sometimes. Whoopi was in a don't mess with me mood today. I think Whoopi, Joy and Sunny got very specific marching orders this morning "Don't poke the Princess Beast.". I would have loved to be a fly on the wall at that morning meeting. Whoopi does have some issues (jealousy?) with Sunny, but I think her ice stare at Sunny was a warning not to set Meghan off. Whoopi has not been the same since her illness. I suspect that her health is not good. All this tension Meghan has been allowed to create has cause unnecessary stress for Whoopi. Whoopi has had it with Meghan's antics. Meghan is not just a difficult coworker she is abusive. The tension on this show makes it unwatchable. The View is a part of ABC News. At this point people are tuning in to watch Meghan's Final Fury. TPTB have allowed MM to make a joke out of one of their news shows.
  10. My mother is controlling like Dorothy is. It is clear that although she claims to be supportive of her daughter, she has been undermining Candiace all of her life. Dorothy has played mind games with her daughter since she was born. Candice has been mentally abused to the point that she does not trust herself and is dependent on Dorothy. Candiace needs individual therapy to help her to "grow up". Chris is a good man who seems to love her and will help her. For Dorothy, Candiace have the support of a loving husband and a good therapist, is her worst nightmare. Her need to control her daughter is pathological. Hopefully in time Candiace will take her power back from Dorothy and cut her out of her life. Like my mother, Dorothy will NEVER change and bring nothing but pain and dysfunction to her life. It is a painful process but it may bring Candiace peace. It does not mean that she does not love her mother but Dorothy is just too toxic to be a part of her life.
  11. So, let me get this straight, Meghan's suggests that married couples who are experiencing issues should get drunk, get their guns and go shooting. Marital conflict, excessive alcohol and firearms. What could possibly go wrong? Meghan is an idiot.
  12. Could it be that that ABC News has had enough of Meghan's antics and have presented her with a low ball offer and a set stipulations she needs to follow to curb her behavior? It could be a way for the network to get her to quit while keeping their hands clean? The View tends to soft peddle things when they want to get rid of a host. When they fired Elizabeth, BW helped get her a job at FOX. This is a way to let the public know that they are "a happy family". However, one of the best moments of The View was when Starr Jones took control of the narrative over her leaving/being fired. The expression on BW's face was priceless.
  13. After Anna, Sean Donnelly was police commissioner. I don't remember any other commissioners until Mac was given the job. GHSCORPIOSRULE, Your post really brought back so many good soapy memories of GH. I even got out my old 45 record of The Afternoon Delights rap classic “General Hospi-Tale”. I still have it, but I have to listen to the song on Youtube.
  14. I respectfully disagree. Robert!Fucking!Scorpio! Was the best Police Commissioner Port Charles Ever Had. He actually put away the bad guys, mobsters, criminals. Without ever having to sacrifice his own integrity. While I loved Mac as a Commish, too many times he had to kowtow to Mooby. And I understand that's the writing and because of Guzasshole glorifying the petulant manbaby. Anna, during her first run as Commissioner after Robert, was also very good. Hell, so was Donnelly. But of course both Anna and Sean had baggage, where they were good guys/turned bad guys/redeemed to good guys. I think even Mac was a con when he first came, right? No? You do have a point. I guess I was thinking back to the 1990's and 2000's. In the late 70's and early 80's Robert was the best. Both Commissioner Scorpio's were the best. On GH, Scorpios do indeed Rule. :)
  15. JJY is a silver fox. He just gets better looking as he get older. Mac is the best police commissioner Port Charles has ever had. I hope he stays in the job once Jordan is ready to return to work. Maybe she can be offered a job with the FBI or DEA.
  16. Been there, done that. I once found an empty bowl of mustard on my nightstand. I have no memory of it.
  17. Taylor and the Taytots have not been the same since the second time she came back from the dead. Ridge and Brooke had a happy blended family. Thomas, Steffy and Phoebe were happy and well adjusted. I think that whatever treatment the doctors Omar hired used to revive Taylor caused her to develop some extreme mental illness. She was not the same person she was before she "died". The Taytots loved Brooke, Hope and RJ, however, after their mother came back, the Taytots told Brooke to take her children and leave their mother's house. They wanted their family back. As Taylor slipped further and further into the deep end, her children followed her. Steffy was a horrible mess but seems to be getting better. (The baby switch reveal could cause her to go dark again) Thomas is dangerously mentally ill. He has tried to kill Rick twice (arson and planting a BOMB), lied about sleeping with Brooke during their Boinkin Berry haze so he could get Stephanie's shares of Forrester, slept with Caroline while she was impaired and now everything he has done while stalking Hope. If Phoebe had not died, I wonder how she would be doing.
  18. I am not buying Joao's change in attitude. Last season he was constantly undermining his superior, Conrad. Joao challenged Conrad at every turn and caused issues with his fellow deckhands. He played mind games with Brooke and Kasey. Not only did he play them off against each other to compete for his affections he actively sowed conflict between Hannah and the stews. He did all of this while sucking up to Captain Sandy. Joao is a true sociopath and sociopaths do not change. He saw his behavior last season, saw how awful he came across and has come back as the "new and improved Joao" in order to restore his image.
  19. Many of these kids are going to end up with Reactive Attachment Disorder, which is much worse. Without forming attachments to caregivers, they don't develop empathy, a sense of morals. Just like the kids adopted from Romanian orphanages in the 80's and 90's, who have difficulty forming healthy attachments. These children and their parents have fled their countries on foot out of desperation. They walked over 1000 miles to get to the "safety" of the United States. The children were already traumatized. Then they are separated from their parents and put in over crowded cages. They are not given proper nutrition, medical care or basic sanitation supplies. They can not shower, change clothing or brush their teeth. They are living in filth. If the facility were a family's home, and a social worker visited the home, the children would be taken to a hospital and placed in foster care. The police would take the parent/guardian into custody and they would be criminally charge with abuse and neglect. The media would be all over this and the parents faces would be all over the news. The question I have is, who in our government will be held accountable for the abuse, neglect and TORTURE of these children. Meghan's lack of understanding or empathy for what these children are going through is inexcusable. She is a self centered soulless wretch of a human being. This situation has broken my heart. These children are innocent victims.
  20. I really like the therapist. I don't see her as combative. She is challenging a client, who is/was in a life threatening situation. If Perry had not died, he probably would have killed Celeste. She still continues to minimize Perry's violence towards her. The therapist challenges her because she is trying to save Celeste's life. She needed to be very blunt and honest with Celeste in order to break through the denial. Perry is dead but Celeste is at high risk to become involved in another violent relationship. I think Celeste's therapist is excellent.
  21. I think Graham is a brilliant interviewer and is able to bring out the best of his guests. In every other interview I have seen of Madonna she comes off as rude, obnoxious and insufferable. She was still all of those things on Graham's show but to a lesser degree.
  22. Dev is sketchy as hell and he has terrorist/mobsters after him. He did help Sonny in Turkey. However, Sonny does not need to bring him home. He has a wife who is dealing with a high risk pregnancy, a teenage stepdaughter who is grieving the death of her boyfriend and a preschool aged daughter. He could put Dev up at Carly's HOTEL, one of the rooms above Kelly's, where he could work or send him to live with Jason. Carly should be the voice of reason and tell Sonny that it is too dangerous to have Dev around her family. Those to are idiots.
  23. You can also make the batter the night before. That is what my grandmother did. The batter may thicken a bit but you just need to add a little milk. She learned this from my great grandmother, who had 19 children. She cooked them over a huge wood stove on 6 cast iron fry pans. If my great grandma could make pancakes from scratch for 21 people, trained chef Milla should be able to make a stack of pancakes for one guest.,
  24. The View is the epitome of a toxic work environment. Meghan's personality is more toxic than Love Canal. Princess of Arizona, The Terrible must be an absolute nightmare behind the scenes, where her antics are not being broadcast. I mean, look how awful she is when she is on air with millions of people watching her. I really need for some stage hand or intern to record her antic and put them online. I bet staff member's are flocking to human resources for PTSD counseling. Hell, they probably have an after hours Survivors of Meghan support group that offers a 24hr hotline. Meghan needs to be fired.
  25. There is SO MUCH tension at the table. They other hosts are walking on eggshells so Meghan does not go ballistic. Both yesterday and today, the first Hot Topic was so awkward. When Whoopi and Joy asked for the other hosts opinions, they stared at each other and seemed afraid to speak first. When Meghan started going off about Rosemary Clooney and shouted "She's Dead", Joy said that the stage manager was having a breakdown. I believe the Dark Princess of Arizona has caused this tension, not because she is a conservative but because she is an entitled bratty toddler. This tension is so unpleasant and really bad tv. Meghan needs to be fired.
