  1. And I'll stop with this: Not about social change? One word: "Selma." truthaboutluv, I agree totally about Jared Leto!
  2. Didn't mean to duplicate post! Tidbit: My friend once taught The Rock back in the day!
  3. I fail to see why having a huge audience is NOT "the place for" anything "political," although why equal rights for women is deemed "political" I'm not sure. Patricia read probably so she wouldn't omit anything before the music began. I'm glad I watched the trailers today to be able to get the NPH underwear and drummer gag!
  4. I couldn't believe that was Caroline with that awful hair! And Chris's "I choose THIS one!" while hugging his MOM? Okay, then.
  5. Having shrimp shell get stuck in one's throat also didn't do Gregory any favors.
  6. Pizza Boy went home because, as I think Duff said, he had the easiest challenge and yet wasn't fab. I, however, remain impressed by all their endeavors!
  7. I have consistently picked Geraldo as the winner, but I am here to change my vote to Leeza. As was pointed out up-thread, she was given the "Handicapped by a Bone-head Team" edit. Yes, she has the "Magic" albatross, but Geraldo, even handed THE slogan, can still mess it up. And I think Trump (and/or Mark Burnett) likes a "come-back story."
  8. Okay, this is freaky. I just today watched that commercial's "animal friends" video on YouTube, completely unaware it was an Android "thing."
  9. WendyCR72: *blushes* I gotta give props to The Man as best I can! (madam, BTW) :-) I'm still trying to figure out Sir Paul's reason for his inclusion on that song, as I couldn't discern his voice. Love Juanes! Vive!
  10. BLESS YOU, loriro! I was racking my brains trying to recall where I'd heard that EXACT series of notes! BC needs Tom Petty's lawyers!
  11. Madonna's performance was all about the Baphomet-horned dancers. leighdear, Ha! I had a ticket to see CC in NYC, but Boy George got sick and the trip to the States was cancelled.
  12. Marilyn Monroe's black fringed dress for her iconic role as Sugar Kane in "Some Like It Hot."
  13. Ha! I said "Lassie" to myself when Isaac mentioned "75 years," figuring the show wasn't going to trot out an elderly woman (and who would it be, anyway?)! Michelle didn't follow the design-off instructions, a twist the judges could not have foreseen. She HAD then to lose. End of story. During the season, Dimitry won twice, Helen twice, and Sonjia thrice (Michelle none, so there's that, also). These three also won the last three challenges. To me, it's a coin flip now between Dmitry and Sonjia, with Helen not really a serious contender. P.S. Fringe IS timeless! It's Roaring 20's; it's Swinging 60's; it's now! http://www.beyondbuckskin.com/2011/01/some-history-fringe.html
  14. Apparently the "Hooters Cruisers" loss didn't sink in with Team Vortex. "Hey, we lost with 'T'; let's see if we can win with 'A'!" EYE-an goofed when he sang his jingle AND then tried to worm his way out of his insistence on the tune. Nevertheless, his firing was bogus and only to fit the show's schedule, because a bad idea implemented trumps, heh, a bad idea NOT implemented. Best moment: "Did you take a photo of Trump Tower?" "No."
  15. I hope the sons didn't get Ivanka's DNA, as she is their sister! (Ivana is Mom.) Oh, but that was during the B.K. Era: Before Kardashian. You may pronounce my name as "Len-EYE."
  16. Then if we are watching it now, the viewers don't have a "1 year cliffhanger"; only the contestants do. Sig and his "Sex sells": Yeah, really, especially to families visiting NYC.
  17. Actually, Geraldo did not use the appropriate term "immigrants"; he repeatedly said "refugees," which carries a very different meaning/connotation. BUT---IMO, he will win, for he is the only one who "is" New York, as Joan Rivers was before him. What does this mean---we won't learn the victor until 2016? Just like it ain't bragging if ya do it, Brandi wasn't wrong for her WINNING "executive decision" to drop the "Manhattan Mardi Gras" theme. Trump would have hammered a theme that made NYC seem a wannabe-anywhere-else!
  18. Harry's not dumb, either. And he knew that he was putting Adam on a spot that Adam couldn't back away from. I maintain that it was unprofessional. And had I WANTED to liken Adam to Christ on the Cross or HCJr to Machiavelli, I surely would have.
  19. Will no-one rid me of that fugly Fabio?! Cannot stand looking at or hearing from him!! BLEAGH! 1971. That is when I wore a "Granny" dress (Michelle's style was called that) with puffy sleeves. 1971. Size 24 is pretty darn big, but in any case, it was not meant to be taken quite literally, I don't think.
  20. Is Jason in a commercial? I swear there's one with a guy who looks just like him, but I can't remember the product! :-P
