  1. It was Ashley. In the other pic of her in the pool, next to this one on her instagram, she credits her.
  2. She expected to know before anyone else did, so that she could look like she's still important to Chase, and so that she could, no doubt with stoic dignity, inform all the others of the momentous event. "Yes," murmurs Whitney to Ryan, "the baby came early. They were worried about the mother's blood pressure but both she and the baby are all right. Chase is over the moon and they are naming the girl 'Aurora.'" She moves away slowly, bearing her grief and pain. "Oh, what's wrong, Whitney?" cry her "real" friends. Quietly she informs them of the news. They gather in an admiring circle around her. As they each hug and console her, she looks over her shoulder at Ryan and sweetly assures him not to worry; Chase is very distracted by this wonderful experience but will no doubt get in touch with him soon." And - curtain.
  3. Today's insta story is Whitney asking multiple choice questions for her fans to demonstrate how well they know Glenn in celebration of his 75th birthday. Then, at the end, she announces that when Babs was pregnant with her, the doctors told her parents that she was likely to have Down's syndrome [sic] or other "challenges" and asked if they wanted "to terminate the pregnancy or keep her." According to Whitney, Glenn unhesitatingly declared that of course they would keep her. (I assume Babs agreed.) She then thanks her father for his unhesitating support. (Maybe Babs had to think it over?) She is really stretching hard for the sympathy factor these days.
  4. Things are looking up for Whitney during an Asheville getaway, but when she discovers Ryan has been keeping devastating news from her, will she ever be able to trust him again? Whitney is shocked by a surprise call from Chase and his baby daughter.
  5. Whitney says Buddy asked her to post this video on her instagram. LINK. Interpret it as you will.
  6. Oh, good point. I didn't catch the ambiguity. I wonder if this is like her announcing "Chase will be a father in October," when she knew the delivery date was much earlier. So yeah, he'd be a dad in October, but he'd already have been a dad for a month or so. And now yeah, she knows whether or not there is going to be another season, but she's not actually saying what she knows.
  7. Whitney's instagram, captioned "I guess this about sums it up, doesn't it?" She also told a fan who asked that there is going to be another season.
  8. Whitney is polling her fans on instagram. Are her eyes green or blue or can they "legitimately not pick one?" How many times is she planning to ask this question? Has she forgotten she has posed this critical question to them at least twice already?
  9. During a weekend trip to Asheville, all eyes are on Ryan for possible sabotage, but no one is expecting Whitney and Buddy to lash out at each other. Then, when Whitney tests her stamina on a treacherous waterfall hike, will she push herself too hard?
  10. Nope. Any time one of her fans asks her about her lipstick color, or how she gets her complexion so even, or whatever, Whitney invariably responds by saying she knows nothing about her makeup - it's all done by one of the production crew.
  11. Whitney has put up a "cutesy" instagram story that, as a longtime cat lover and caretaker to cats, made my blood boil. In the middle of winter, she has dragged all three cats to the groomer and had them shaved down. I presume it's because she can't be bothered to brush them, (and long haired cats need regular brushing) so when their fur gets matted, she hauls them off to be shaved. Mats in their fur are no joke to cats. Their skin is paper thin, and matted fur can cause a lot of pain. Not to mention the scary experience of being locked in a carrier, held down and handled by strangers, surrounded by other cats and dogs in the waiting area (and we know this wasn't just for cats, because she mentioned Neeshi went also.)She lets them out of their carriers one by one, loudly snorting with laughter at how funny they look without their fur. Her lack of empathy for her animals boggles my mind.
  12. Still trying to make sense of her "consultation" with her former doctor who may or may not be the same one she claims told her diabetes is "stress induced." (You'd think if this were the same doctor, she'd be gently but firmly contradicting Whitney's erroneous characterization of her diagnosis. "Not exactly, Whitney. What I said, when you asked, was that stress can be a contributing factor, but stress alone does not cause diabetes." Otherwise, the doctor looks inept, at best.) But it came across to me as if Whitney was referring to someone else. In any event, it doesn't seem as if this doctor does bariatric surgery herself. This is how wikipedia defines "obesity medicine:" "Obesity medicine is a field of medicine dedicated to the comprehensive treatment of patients with obesity. Obesity medicine takes into account the multi-factorial etiology of obesity in which behavior, development, environment, epigenetic, genetic, nutrition, physiology, and psychosocial contributors all play a role." I thought one of the principle contentions of the Healthy At Every Size community was that medical doctors fixate on their weight, to the exclusion of other possible reasons for their health concerns. So here we have Whitney, five years ago at least, being seen by a specialist whose entire practice is focused on obesity as a disorder that requires comprehensive, multi-faceted treatment. I expect that, as with Will, Whitney blew off all the advice and warnings and never committed to treatment. And now she is back consulting with that doctor regarding surgery. Sort of. I think she really wanted to be told she was fine as is. What she was told is that she is not currently a candidate for bariatric surgery because she would need to address her eating disorders before anything else. But I don't think she heard it, or believed it if she did.
  13. Question - did anyone get a sense of what her prior relationship was with the doctor Whitney was consulting? She made it seem, when she was talking to Glenn and Babs, as if she was going to talk to a bariatric surgeon. But then the doctor greets her with "Nice to see you again!" Whitney says to camera something about having seen her five years earlier for some other reason (which seems kind of unlikely if this is actually a surgeon. Why would she be seeing Whitney for PCOS or heart issues or whatever? And she wasn't Whitney's internist, because Whitney talks to her about her internist who had apparently diagnosed Whitney with "stress-induced" pre-diabetes. Maybe that's the same internist as the one who saw her in the emergency room and diagnosed her with "exercise -induced" panic attacks?) As always when it comes to Whit and her medical issues, the information is confusing, silly, delusional, convoluted and incomprehensible (to me, at least. :))
  14. Episode 13 to come on Feb. 2, 2021. Big Fat Brawl My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Season 8, Episode 13 During a weekend trip to Asheville, all eyes are on Ryan for possible sabotage, but no one is expecting Whitney and Buddy to lash out at each other. Then, when Whitney tests her stamina on a treacherous waterfall hike, will she push herself too hard? Episode 14 to come on February 9, 2021 Big Fat Baby News My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Season 8, Episode 14 Things are looking up for Whitney during an Asheville getaway, but when she discovers Ryan has been keeping devastating news from her, will she ever be able to trust him again? Whitney is shocked by a surprise call from Chase and his baby daughter. Episode 15 is "The Skinny" end-of-season episode. It should be 2/16, but TLC hasn't actually put a date on this description yet.
  15. I thought she looked like a Moomin when she was blubbering to her family with the mask on.
  16. No, this is the thread for the 1/26/21 episode.
  17. If anyone is interested HERE is a statement from a bariatric surgery center in Colorado, explaining why they no longer do lap band procedures. It took me exactly 3 clicks on google to find this information. So Whitney showing up for her "consultation," confidently stating that this was the procedure she was most interested in, just made it clear to the doctor that she had no clue about the current state of bariatric medicine. Her self-centered approach to covid precautions is breathtaking. With both her parents in the high-risk group for the virus, she NEEDS to hug them, so risks be damned. She even says, "I know I shouldn't do this" as she launches herself at them, and goes ahead anyway.
  18. I just went ahead and created the new topic. I hope I haven't overstepped!
  19. In an attempt to rebuild their shaky relationship, Ryan invites Whitney and her friends to Asheville for a weekend getaway. Whitney consults a doctor about moving forward with weight loss surgery
  20. I hope not for her sake! How long could she stay popular/relevant if she doesn't have the show as her platform? Aside from MBFFL and her cruises, she hasn't done much to build up her presence in the world. And who knows how much of the cruise industry will survive the pandemic, if and when it opens up again? A few college speaking/dance class engagements (and she's probably not capable of doing the dance classes anymore) and a few convention-type appearances, (with the No Barrier Summit the only one she was invited to more than once) and, of course, that masterpiece of literature "I Do It With The Lights On." Face it, Whit, guest appearances on The Kellie Pickler Show can only sustain you for so long . . . especially now that it's been cancelled.
  21. Will was having a brief hallucination about the way his insurance would skyrocket with Whitney on the payroll.
  22. She's "pre-diabetic" again? Well, call me impressed that cutting out pasta (for a couple of days six years ago) kept her blood sugar under control until now! Bullshit.
  23. If so, that would be very sad. Just took a quick look at Walmart.com to learn that the price of a Barbie doll (without a second outfit or accessories) ranges from $5 to $7. Uncle Whitney and/or the production company must be teetering on the verge of bankruptcy if they had to warn a child to pretend she was getting a new present, but the bag was only going to have one of her old dolls in it.
