  1. According to their online registry, the date is October 28. 2023. So just a year to wait now. :)
  2. Whitney replied to that question on her IG, saying Tal had moved in but has since moved on, "St. Lucia was five months ago!" I guess Todd has replaced Tal.
  3. This is the TLC blurb for episode 9. I put in spoiler tags because the episode description gives away a lot of the "plot."
  4. "When Babs is released from the hospital, Whitney, Glenn and Hunter must scramble to find a place for her to live; with the wedding quickly approaching, tensions between Jessica and her fiancé heat up."
  5. She's repeatedly said on insta that she and LeBlur are still together, are a happy committed couple and that there will be no mention of him on the show because she so respects his concern for privacy. Here we are a few days from the new season, and already there's been at least one preview scene where Lennie and Whitney are doing some kind of painting project together. Whitney warns Lennie not to fall for her again because she has A Man, and Lennie should meet him. Lennie says he doesn't see the need, then tells the camera that he's never seen any actual evidence that this guy exists, so he shrugs off anything Whitney says and just acts as if the guy isn't real. Wonder how she's going to respect Her Man next time?
  6. A TLC peek into the new season. I can't lie - it looks really bad.
  7. Well, she still seems to have her grip on Jessica and her new husband. And unlike Lennie, Isaiah looks physically capable of responding to a screech from Whitney to "get behind me and lift me up."
  8. Whitney must lean on friends and family to find the strength to take care of her family? When has she ever taken care of anyone but Whitney?
  9. According to Whitney's instagram post and video on Mothers' Day, Babs is "almost 76." ( I would have described my mother as "75" under the same circumstances, but whatever.) Speaking of Babs' circumstances, there is something about the video clip that makes me very uncomfortable. It looks to me as if Whitney is filming her mother sitting at a table in the dining area of a rehab facility. (A few weeks ago, Lennie had posted a photograph of Babs and Whitney in a similar location with a jokey caption, but that picture was taken down very quickly.) Babs seems to be sitting in a wheelchair. She is eating chicken wings from a plastic tray, and I can't tell for sure, but I think the paisley drape over her upper body is not part of her shirt, but is a cloth napkin for protecting her clothes. She is only using one hand (Whitney makes a joke about her eating wings with her pinky elevated) even though it looks as if it would be easier to manipulate the food using both hands. This suggests that she may not have control of her other hand. She also has a disturbingly flat affect. She is quietly chewing her food, staring blankly straight into the camera as it zooms in on her face. At first she doesn't seem to notice it, then she looks away from it and her facial expression doesn't change as the camera pulls back. Has she had another, more serious, stroke?
  10. Whitney posing for a TLC camera shoot during an 80s themed birthday party for Heather.
  11. Whitney dancing at Jessica and Isaiah's wedding. LINK 1) She appears to be dancing with Lennie in a space outside the pavilion. 2) She appears to be complaining to the DJ (?) about the music. 3)Lennie attempts to put his arms around her to slow dance, but "her song" comes on. 4) She shoves Lennie away from her. He backs off as she begins to dance in classic Whitney fashion, flapping her arms, stomping and braying loudly. 5) As the video clip ends, she is headed for the dance floor inside the pavilion. Oddly, none of the people outside so much as glanced in her direction as her little showcase erupted in front of them.
  12. According to Jessica and Isaiah's page on The Knot website, guests were asked to sign a release in order to be filmed by TLC for the show. So, yes, looks like this will be part of the new season.
  13. Yeah, I couldn't think of anything to say about this. Maybe the mustache is much more flattering on her than the lip-filler?
  14. No Barriers USA is the organization. They hold an annual No Barriers Summit and Whitney was a guest speaker/teacher in 2019 and 2020. Todd, Buddy and her whole family came to see her in New York City the first time, and she brought Chase and Ryan with her the second time when the event was in Lake Tahoe. The 2021 Summit was held in Colorado and online. Doesn't look like she participated last year. There is now a No Barriers membership offered ($9/mo) where members get access to leadership materials, including virtual libraries and online speakers. The idea is to create a community of people helping themselves and each other to accomplish their goals despite their barriers. Whitney is listed as one of their "world renowned leaders and speakers." Hard to imagine this nonprofit would be shelling out the big bucks to put a leadership class/speech by a TLC reality star in their materials.
  15. Good thing the producers didn't decide on "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain."
  16. It's interesting that she posts this (in my opinion) unflattering picture of herself next to the glamor shot of young Babs. Side-by-side, it's hard to see more than a very slight resemblance between the two of them.
  17. Sort of. "Stan" is the name of a song by the rapper Eminem, about an obsessed, mentally ill fan who eventually kills himself when Eminem doesn't respond to his attempts to reach him. Now "stans" has become the description for any celebrity's most over-the-top devoted fans.
  18. You forgot Jessica, engaged to Isaiah. But then again, so did Whitney, at least as far as publicly congratulating the two of them goes.
  19. I think I've posted this before, but it seems to belong here. :) It Should Have Been Me
  20. If I recall correctly, Whitney claimed the Thores never celebrated Thanksgiving. She made this surprising claim when having Thanksgiving dinner at Ryan's apartment. They were joined by one of his friends, who, in retrospect, appears to have been auditioning for the role on the show that was eventually taken by Chase. This claim was met with some online skepticism at the time, as it seem out of character for Babs and Glenn to neither have a Thanksgiving themselves, nor to attend a larger family gathering. And it certainly seemed out of character for Whitney to be so blase about a holiday that mainly centers around lots and lots of food.
  21. Well, I just asked an opthamologist. (One just unexpectedly arrived at my door to help with prep for Thanksgiving dinner - a neighbor who had been invited to dinner, but decided she wanted to pitch in with the work. :)) She said "legally blind" is a legal, not a medical, term that applies to vision disability. If your vision falls below 20/200, you are eligible for disability assistance, and also you are subject to limitations, like not being eligible for for a driver's license. If your vision can be corrected to above 20/200 with corrective lenses, you aren't legally blind. Which I guess is good news for Whitney! What would she do if she had to give up driving? Probably demand that Buddy become her full time chauffeur . . .
  22. Whitney is in the middle of an AMAQ* on instagram. In response to the question "Do you always wear reading glasses?" she said she is wearing regular glasses, or contacts and she is "legally blind." Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but in my state, that would make you ineligible for a driver's license. Is it different in North Carolina? Is she just throwing around a term she doesn't understand because it sounds dramatic? *Ask Me Any Question
