I think the last time Carly had on screen sex was during her epic (cough, cough) love story with Drew. I don’t think LW has a problem doing them unlike AS but the writers never have written her constantly in bed with guys. Her love language with men has always been fighting and arguing. They have a lot of good looking guys and hot woman but they leave the bed stuff to the kids like Joss. Truthfully, not too many of the actors over 40 on any of the soaps have sex. It’s such a different time than the 80’s and 90’s. Personally, I thought it was weird that Charles Mesure never even took his shirt off the whole time he was there. Maybe, CMcK will be different but he hasn’t even taken a shower and come out wearing the obligatory white towel. LOL!!!! I think the only guy who has no problem being is shirtless has been Cameron Matheson (along with JS and occasionally DZ). Being shirtless is in Matheson wheel house. He almost never had a shirt on AMC and that was over 25 years ago. LOL!!! Matheson is an anomaly though. He was then and now built like a Greek god. He ain’t the greatest actor but he looks good. YMMV!

Thank you. I thought that was Carly & Jax’s house with the great staircase. I will say they did a horrible job disguising it. I don’t even think they tried. The only notable difference was the front door was right there. Whereas Carly’s you went around the bend with an entryway. Meanwhile, Beyond The Gates has beautiful sets everywhere. Of course, GH is 61 years old and BTG just started 3 weeks ago. I guess we’ll have to see what a full year brings. LOL!!! Finally, what is the 411 on JPS? Does he want a contract with GH or not? Does GH not want to put him on contract? JPS & FH have amazing chemistry. What the hell are they (FV) thinking?

It’s funny but I totally buy Karla being the mother of Chelsea but not Naomi. Arielle Prepetit skews older to me and looks like Dani’s sister and not her daughter. Of course, it’s Soap 101 where all of the actors play older/younger than the other actors playing their parents and kids. If you think about it too much your head will explode. My brain already hurts from it. LOL!!!!!

So Eva doesn’t like Dana et al acting all crazy. Um, too late for that. I thought for sure Kat was going to come into the bar and spoil all of Eva’s fun but nope. Perhaps another day. Dani’s mug shoot photo session was hysterical. Even Anita had to stifle her laughter. Unfortunately, Dani tells us that she’s really isn’t over Bill. This might be a loooong storyline. LOL!!! Free Smitty! That guy doesn’t have a chance being married to the whole Dupree family. Not a lick of a chance. Also, he’s still boring but the minute he goes loco he could be great. Also, Ashley and her husband are DOA.

I’m curious where Cady McClain fits in here. Dani already has a bff (the blonde realtor) so I’m not sure what Cady can add. The cast is already bloated enough and it’s only been two weeks. LOL!!!!

I read somewhere the knife would be used to stab Drew. God willing. Seriously though. I think a knife used even on Drew would be a little much. I think the actor playing Sidwell is great but I don’t think he’s needed. I’m still trying to get used to Jack Brennan being all sorts of creepy spy guy. Charles Mesure was charming and always had a twinkle in his eyes. He was so good. Why can’t we have nice things?!

I did think it was funny when Kat was talking to Nicole that she called Eva lady locs or something to that affect. In the BTS special Colby Muhammad said this was the first tv job for her. She clearly has fun with the dialogue and wardrobe and has star potential. I guess come this summer her and Tomas will heating up the screens. All in all, the show is off to a roaring start. The lead up, parties, press and finally the premiere week was the fun part. Now the real work begins (actually it has for the past 3 months) and, I guess it’s up to the viewers to say yay or nay. If the early ratings are any indication I could easily see 5 year run without batting an eye. Although, I don’t know what order number (in years) that CBS gave Beyond the Gates.

The casting department really thought outside the box for Joss’s new love interest. Instead of a white, medium height and short hair actor they went with a white, medium height and long hair actor. Why didn’t they just let Evan Hofer grow his hair out? They must have gone through thousands (one) headshot to find the new actor. Wait! Do the soaps still use b/w headshots? A lost art.

The kid can act but the ER visit with a broken arm visit was pure torture. So you realize how many people involved in that ridiculous arc? Too many. Did GH have a guaranteed minimum for the adults they had to meet or something?! Such a waste. It doesn’t move any storyline from what I can tell. It was rather bizarre to waste all that time. I can’t believe a writer was tasked and paid for that. Wait! Why am I so hot under the collar? It’s only a stupid soap already getting beat by the new soap n CBS. It won’t be long till FV and the writers are canned.

Meanwhile, on the other soaps heads are going to roll after the huge numbers of Beyond the Gates that just came out. Of course, it’s only been 2 weeks (first week with the ratings) and, it could die off later but for now I think CBS is quite happy. Interesting times ahead.

Cady McClain looks out of place here. She’s a Emmy winner and been in the game since the 80’s and now she’s an extra with a bad side pony tail. Of course, it’s only been 2 days for her but I don’t even buy her as Dani’s bff. Just sayin……

I totally agree. It’s like when Kelly Ripa did her show with celebrity guest host until they settled on Michael Strahan. In retrospect, they should have looked longer. LOL!!! Fuuny enough that I mentioned Willie and here’s he’s co-hosting tomorrow with Jenna. I agree the new host it will be in house or in house adjacent. I think it would Shenelle but who knows how long she’ll be gone or what the exact family issue is. I still like Dylan but she hardly ever filled in for the 4th hour when she could. I’m sure the girl with the long dark hair (whose name escapes me) is chomping at the bit for the gif but she’s just not well known enough….I think. As long as it’s not St. Maria Shriver I’m fine with whomever they pick. LOL!!!!

I haven’t watched the 4th hour of Today since Hoda left. I could barely take Jenna when Hoda hosted but there is no way I could take her as the main host. I am curious when they do finally do name a co-host will it be within the NBC family or not. I thought it might be Shenelle eventually but she’s out for now dealing with family issues. I’m not sure what the timeline is though with finding a permanent co-host. I always liked when Willie Geist would fill in but he would take the gig full time?

I guess we can rule them two out. Unless, Jack is going off the deep end because of Diane’s design choices at La Casa Abbott.

Everyone is saying Lauren but why? Is she off her rocker? I don’t buy that for a second. If it is true I think it was just to give Tracey Bergman a storyline because it makes no sense to me. I actually like the casual look for Phyllis. She looks comfy in the big sweater and straight her. She’s usually dresses for summer when it’s winter. Unfortunately, Sharon is basically wearing the same thing she wore for a month. That said, I think Nikki will still beat their record with the gold and black getup she wore for 2 months. LOL!!!!!

Maybe, intercom man/woman is some background character from both Phyllis and Sharon’s past that they’ve both dealt with. Ian would be too obvious and stupid. Have the slept with the same guy other Nick? If we’re going by connecting characters it would have to be someone who felt they were screwed over by both Phyllis and Sharon. What about Tucker? Is he viable?

So if Dani wedding is a dream then what about all the B plot lines going on at the wedding? Are they real or fake? I guess it’s just the wedding itself and Dani’s reaction that’s a dream. That could make sense. I agree that this week there was a lot to take in. It was on steroids but I guess in the land of television it’s necessary. On a soap (especially its first week) it may too much. The first soap I saw from the beginning was Loving. They had a two hour nighttime movie and there was a story about some college murders or prostitution ring (it’s been a minute) but that alone was slow. The following day was a normal half hour episode where you were introduced to the families. Since there were only 2 main families (Aldan and Donavan) it was easy to keep track of. Beyond The Gates had triple that and some of the guys with their facial hair and ages looked the same. Hopefully, by next week it will calm down…...after the shooting/possible dream wedding. LOL!!!!! Truthfully, I already watch Y&R, B&B and GH. so I might not be able to watch BTG full time. I will probably watch Monday but then maybe just on Fridays.

I saw the Fairman interview and Karla said they are almost 3 months out.

It totally forgot Cady McClain (who finally aired) and Jon Lindstrom (who hasn’t aired) have joined the cast. Great actors but yes more actors to keep track of. How many people and voices does MJV have running that brain of hers?! LOL!!!!

Yeah, it looks like Britney is shocked by the Dolores vote because she flipped. I don’t think Britney counted on that happening and switched her vote to Danielle. That said, I’m not sure Britney will win. All the faithfuls are going to suspect her and banish her…..I’m guess. The cliffhanger sucked. Unfortunately, they need content for next week so they had to leave it on a cliffhanger.

And, the really quick fade to black which they don’t really do. It just ends. Everyone BTS knows the fade to black is soap 101 but here it’s so abrupt. At least, that’s how I see it. YMMV.

I’m still Team Shaunuin. He’s my winner pick. Strong beard. Joe & Eva seem long term. Very nice storyline and introduction. David is much more than I expected. I thought he’d be a dopey muscle guy but he’s actually very nice, funny and has a brain. All I can say about Sai is I don’t like her. I can see why the two guys went with her though. She has an idol and they're in a solid 4 for now. Of course, Sai might wear them out by Day 3 so we’ll see. Unfortunately, they have the weakest tribe strength wise and will more likely go back to Tribal Council before the other 2 tribes. In theory, it could be Mary next but Sai could be an easy vote out too. Whatever happens I’ll be along for the ride again. It’s my favorite show. I’ve been watching since Day 1 Ep. 1 and I’m not gonna stop now.

I saw on twitter today that Chris McKenna said these were his first scenes and he just met Eden McCoy right before doing them. Hence him not having a full goatee. It was shot out of order. This show and their crazy taping schedule is awful. To me it was obvious they had just me because McKenna was just saying his lines to frankly just say them. I think he had to tape a lot of material to catch up. Again, I think he’s a great actor but he is totally miscast in this role following The unique Charles Mesure. They really should have waited a few weeks to at least cast a guy with an accent. LOL!!! Also, it’s kind of creepy that Brennan said that one of Joss’s strong qualities for the job was that she was beautiful. Um, HR anyone? Okay! Drew is beyond super creepy now. I’m still waiting for the epic super couple of Drew & Willow that Cameron Matheson said they’d have or would have. Please! Drew is creepy and Willow is getting more stupid by the minute. If anyone should have been killed off it should have been Drew Cain Quartermain. Good grief! Rant over.
