Really? Interesting. I remember everyone in my orbit loving it. Every time someone saw it for the first time we'd ask "What ending did you get?" and, if was different, we'd talk about both. I thought it was really clever.

The horse head in The Godfather and the rabbit in Fatal Attraction. ::shudder:: -
Did I hear him whistle and say "Mjolnir, here boy!, Mjolnir, where are you?" I just can't...... I saw a preview before Top Gun: Maverick on Saturday that I could swear had a couple of different scenes that I hadn't seen before (or maybe I just didn't remember much of the trailer from when I first saw it) and I just looked at my husband and shrugged. Based on what I've seen, I'm just not overly excited for this one. Someone mentioned earlier that after how heavy the Endgame was, they were ready for something lighter and so am I, but I'm still not seeing any balance between silly and serious in the trailer and clips. I hope I'm wrong. I really do. I want to love this as much as the others.

Not only do I remember it, but it was so horrific that I can barely look at chimps now and tense up when I see pictures of people with them. If I were an actress, my contract would have a demand that I would never be on set with a chimp, except maybe a baby--not even if Robert Irwin were the one who brought it. -
I was going to mention this as well. The physical comedy and their reactions to different events are hysterical. Tim Curry's (the butler who "buttles" 😄 ) retelling of who killed whom and how is so much fun. I also have to bite back the words "Too late" when someone says "To make a long story short....."

I just watched this for the umpteenth time over the weekend. It's so clever and I absolutely love it.

Faux Life: Things That Happen On TV But Not In Reality

You can count on the high school bully to jump on a cafeteria table during a particularly harsh episode of tormenting someone (or a kid giving an inspiring speech). -
I loved the book and didn't care for most of the movie, either, because I thought that some of the changes were unnecessary and I found that annoying. I understand why things are changed from the book for the most part, but there were some that didn't make sense to me. I'll go a step further: Jurassic World was my favorite of the bunch so far. ETA: I do appreciate the outstanding special effects, though. My favorite scenes in JP are when they see the first dinosaur, when they were going through the explanation of how they made it happen (especially when they visited the nursery) and the scene with the sick triceratops.

I thought Melissa McCarthy was great in St. Vincent, too. I love that movie

How I ended up watching Theater of Blood at the age of 7 or 8 is a long story (my parents weren't aware of it-they'd have been very upset), but to this day, almost 45 years later, I can't stand Vincent Price or his creepy laugh (which is worse for me than seeing him). -

It's amazing that a witness can describe someone that they saw briefly or under bad conditions (it's dark or he/she was wearing a hoodie, etc.) well enough that a sketch artist can get a really good likeness of that person. -
I don't like or dislike Dianne Weist. She was really good in Parenthood, but I thought she and John Lithgow elevated Footloose with their performances.

Oh yeah. I'm going to blame forgetting that on being both exhausted and really busy.

Now that I can understand and agree with. It's just that Ragnarok showed us a fun Thor, which was awesome, but I don't want to see him turned into a joke.
-
That's the 1st thing my daughter said when she saw him. I loved Ragnarok, but from this trailer, I'm worried that Taika went a little too far into silliness. I hope I'm wrong.

That's one reason I like a lot of his movies. The man really commits to a role.

I know most people in this forum can't stand him, but......... Was this the best kept secret in Hollywood because I don't remember seeing a think about Katherine being pregnant again. I give him, his ex and Katherine props for good names: Jack, Lyla and Eloise. -

My grandmother, who was raised during the depression, never cooked with asparagus. So, the one time I was making her a meal with it, I cut of the usual amount and she looked at the ends and said "You throw all that away? What a waste of food." That woman could make a hell of a meal out of leftovers. -
FilmNight: Movies you watched recently

One of my favorite movie theater memories came from Legends of the Fall: When Brad Pitt's character made his first entrance, when he dismounted and took off his hat, there was audible sigh by many people in the theater. -

I have a weird relationship with this movie. I liked parts of it, but overall, I didn't care for it. Susannah drove me up the wall. I swear, for the life of me, I couldn't understand why she didn't find a way to leave and why Samuel's two brothers were so crazy about her. However, I loved Isabelle 2 and that story, so this movie has become a guilty pleasure for me. I'm not crazy about it, but if it's on and there's nothing else on that I want to watch, I'll tune in. I just won't watch any scenes after the two brothers meet up at the spring fair. -

They did and, given the chemistry between the two co-stars, I was looking forward to it (but, also knew that the show wasn't gaining much traction, so I was prepared and just hoping I was wrong). -

Well, shit. -
*sigh* My daughter and I just got back from watching Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. I understood it, I knew what they were going for and the performances were fantastic, but my God did I dislike this movie. There were two scenes that I really liked and, thanks to the strong performances, I teared up, but talk about being way over the top and about 20 minutes too long. I know I'm not alone because my daughter didn't like it either (she pretty much agreed with everything I just wrote).

@Danielg342 your posts make me think that I've offended you by making an amusing post about law enforcement. I'm very sorry if that's the case--I understand how dangerous the job is and appreciate the fact that there are many people willing to take that on. It was not the danger of the job that I was commenting on, just the frequency with which it happens on tv.
