  1. If Kimberly Sustad were the female lead, I’d swear it was this thread that conjured the movie into existence.
  2. No, that's the Grand Prix of Espoo, which will be in Finland.
  3. I agree. I think they give him enough nuance so that he doesn't come off like a Gary Stu in every conflict he encounters. I do kind of wish they maintained the flashbacks that were introduced in the first arc, so we could see young Cassian learning and applying those lessons later on, but with the number of story threads this show has going, I can understand why they dropped that story telling device.
  4. I'm surprised no one knows who Ian Harding is. Was I the only one who suffered through Pretty Little Liars?
  5. Mine is when she's drinking from a champagne flute in the limo, and admits that she's not much of a drinker, so she's already feeling a little tipsy, and he just looks at her dumbly and says, "But it's ginger ale." And then they actually do go out for drinks, and sleep beside one another on the roof, which feels very risque for a Hallmark movie.
  6. I finally (FINALLY) caught this one after years of seeing it recommended in this thread. It was such a gem! I love Autumn Reeser, especially as Taylor Townsend on the OC, and her character in this movie was very Taylor-esque. I wish they still made Hallmark movies like this one.
  7. Watching this season of The White Lotus, and Haley Lu Richardson and Zoey Deutch need to play sisters.
  8. Yeah, I thought Albie was sweet in the first episode, but now I'm pretty nervous about him. He's a "nice guy" looking for a "manic pixie dream girl" to save. I have a feeling that Portia's wishes to have an Italian guy throw her around will come true, but it probably won't end well for either of them. Especially with the ominous recalling of Hades claiming Persephone.
  9. I swear, I almost turned it off, and then she kissed him, and I was like, “Well that’s something new!” Unfortunately it was a total snoozer. I’m holding out hope that Andrew Walker’s other movie this year Three Wise Men and a Baby will be better. I mean, it’s Paul Campbell, Tyler Hines, and Andrew Walker in the same movie, it’s like it was generated in a Christmas Lab to be enjoyable.
  10. I loved the lead, John Brotherton, when he was on One Life to Live, but now he’s always mugging through all of his performances. I think his time on Fuller House killed whatever talent he had.
  11. I'm bummed, but I was also pretty skeptical this show would ever make it. Like did Stefan Brogren even acknowledge it? It seemed like it was going to be Degrassi in name only.
  12. I think you are automatically eligible if you place in the Top 5 at Nationals the year before. Jason placed 4th, so would qualify.
  13. That's from last year! I almost screamed when I saw Jason Brown listed as an entry. This is the one for this year: http://www.isuresults.com/results/season2223/gpfra2022/
  14. To be fair, Dedra does not seem to have a Dedra/Karn romance on her BINGO card either.
  15. She hasn't done a Christmas movie in years, but I bet she would. She seems to be close with most of her former OTH cast members, who all seem to be Christmas movie staples. She's a solid TV rom com heroine, so I hope she eventually comes back to it.
  16. @dwmarch predicted Vel would be another daughter of Mon Mothma last week, so she wasn't too far off!
  17. I don't want to get invested in them, because they'll inevitably be ruined before the end of the season, but I really liked them too.
  18. And she even called the General, who freely disclosed classified intel over the phone, and he had no idea that her husband had been found, even though the husband claimed he went through an embassy to get home. WHAT? It was such whiplash, and honestly, the guy playing Colby was not a great actor, and I thought it was going to turn in to some sort of Lifetime horror movie, when he was ominously explaining how he got there, and then, somewhat creepily said he was going to tell them a bedtime story. I know it was supposed to be heartwarming, but I was concerned for their safety.
  19. His face seems to be getting smoother and tighter.
  20. Meero has to be one of the best gray characters that Star Wars has done. To watch her lead Bix's interrogation and then immediately sympathize with her when Syril went full creep on her. She's really a fascinating character. I'm curious to see where this season leads her. I never got into the Aldhani arc, or its pacing, but the prison arc has got me. There are so many moving parts, and they're doing an incredible job building the suspense. I'm constantly on the edge of my seat.
  21. NBC will be airing 90 minutes of coverage this afternoon from Skate Canada. It’ll probably just be highlights of the medalist, and doesn’t make up for the lack of replays, but at least it’s an opportunity to catch some performances you may have missed. I think it starts at noon, eastern time.
  22. I don't know that this counts as a spoiler, but someone pointed out that:
  23. Wow. The prison they've built really captures that 1970s sci fi horror vibe. It's really interesting to see all of the stories start to intersect. I don't see how they can conclude this current arc in three episodes, like they have with the first two, but I don't mind the change in format. It feels like there's real momentum now. I enjoyed the talk between Saw and Luthen about all the opposition factions being unwilling to work together. A major criticism of the Prequel Trilogy was that all the politics were heavy handed and boring, but I think Andor has done an exquisite job of taking politics and social commentary to the forefront and making it relevant and interesting. And for the last time. They never should have named the actress who looks exactly like Leia, Cleya. If I didn't watch the show with subtitles, I would be so confused!
  24. Viserys was already somewhat senile by the time Otto was reinstalled as hand, so I'm wondering if they just kind of snuck him back into the council as if he'd always been there.
  25. Wikipedia tells me that Kaitlyn Weaver was born in Texas and lives in New Jersey, so she did the reverse Tanith.
