  1. That's a much healthier way to look at it, Peach, thanks for reminding me 🙂
  2. Oy, I guess I haven't missed much. It's been hard to get the episodes in now that I'm sharing the TV more with my better half. We're working it out, lol..... But honestly, based on what I've read there's only a few scenes worth searching for, and come to think of it, they all include violence -- Chad/Gabi/Kate and Nicole/Kristen, lol. And it all seems even sillier against the backdrop of real life right now. Sigh.
  3. Wow, these are not very good signs, lol. I've seen John and Marlena do this a million times and I was never a huge fan in the first place. Ben and Ciara's romantic reunion doesn't mean a thing to me. If done well, Abby pulling Chad back to himself could be good. But otherwise, eh. Nicole will get in trouble again, Xander and Sarah will have a heartbreaking end, and who knows where that poor baby will wind up. Blech.
  4. Man, it's been hard for me to focus on this show lately. Times are tough for news addicts like me, lol. But I hope you're all staying safe and healthy! Of course the other reason I'm having a hard time is this week's emphasis on Ben, Ciara, Evan, and for god's sake, Orpheus. I'm not even sure what or who would distract me at this point. Onward and upward.
  5. @DisneyBoy that made me spit out my water 🤣. Orpheus was during my child-rearing hiatus from the show, but I feel dread all the time these days, anyway : )
  6. I agree, this simpy version of Kristen is very annoying. I think I've convinced myself that she's a different character than the Kristen I rooted for when she was Eileen Davidson (right up until she raped Eric and I hate even typing that out).
  7. Yeah, I feel kind of sorry I dissed Sarah so badly the other day (somewhere upthread, or maybe in Spoilers). I thought she was only just noticing it now, not that she didn't notice it on the side of the road in the dark immediately after giving birth in extreme distress : ) Man, this show is taxing these days. Hoping when some of these things get tied up that we'll have a better story to follow but...yeah.
  8. Wow, excellent story-telling there, @JBC344 and @DisneyBoy -- this was during my hiatus from the show, so I appreciate the details! What a wacky bunch of adventures, lol. Missed yesterday's -- if Gabi was talking with Rafe, I assume Chad failed in his attempt to smother her, lol. Good enough - on to today.
  9. @Rafael - agree, that's nonsense, lol. There's no mother of a week old infant who doesn't know every inch of that baby. Poor Sarah's in for a rough time.
  10. I love "well-behaved groupie" -- I'll wear that mantle well! I've always been, actually, lol. Oh, my Mackenzie is just a treasure, @boes -- she's given life a whole new meaning for us. They were all sick while I was away, so while my daughter could have used my help (my husband ably stepped in!), I was glad to miss that 🙂 Sorry, mods -- last off-topic post!
  11. Haha, sorry, @peachmangosteen and @Silver Raven -- I should have scrolled. I've been away, and far behind, and that jumped out at me.
  12. Glorious! I visit my sister and we spend the weekend immersed in music via a wonderful group of LA-area musicians called the Wild Honey Orchestra. Each year, they feature a different band or artist and create a tribute to them -- we go to rehearsals and then the performance, of course. This year, Bill Mumy played a song! Here's a picture -- I'm the oldest-looking woman with glasses -- the cute one next to Bill is my sister : )
  13. Back from a little vacation and Days drought, I'm a little overwhelmed by posts and episodes. I decided not to catch up, and just dove in this week on Tuesday, so most of it for me was about Ciara and Ben. Despite my feelings of ick about CIN, I thought Ciara did a nice job with her scenes, and it was the most I've liked the actress ever, I think. I could finally see a little of the old Ciara in her. (Though I also hate her manicure, lol.) BUT -- were they trying to make Ben look like the Savior himself on a cross? Are executions always so brutally drawn out? I think not, show. I won't ask too many questions, but do WE know where little David is? P.S. No soap star runins during my travels this time, although I did have a lovely conversation with Bill Mumy (Will Robinson!) about our granddaughters 🙂
  14. SERIOUSLY. This is beyond insulting. Now I forsee Rafe/Jordan/babyDavid going off into the sunset together as GG makes his swan song 🤢
  15. Whoa, Suzanne brought the house down today. Her agonized cries -- my heart. And neither of those lugs who claim to care about her rushed to hold and console her as her world collapsed?
  16. Yes @boes! Even her first stint on Days was lackluster -- then she came back with tons of spirit and her talent, ready to take no prisoners. I remember the very first scene with her in it when she came back -- it was at Doug's place (whatever it was back then, probably the coffee shop) and she dove into a meal and slurped it all up with a vengeance. I made note of it then because it was very unselfconscious, which I took as evidence that she'd taken learning her craft super seriously and was ready for some action on set. And she certainly was!
  17. During every scene with Gabi handcuffed to that chair in the conference room (the "prison cell" set is already in use, lol), I think how much more awful it must be bartering for your life like that while dressed in an off-the-shoulder mini dress. Pretty hard to summon up the gravitas dressed like that, lol. Anyway, I also thought Suzanne did a wonderful job with her "awakening" to the awful fact that she was responsible for Adrienne's death, AND that her closest confidantes have kept it from her. I could feel her terror as she slowly remembered and clutched the blanket. I had anxiety just watching her. These acting jobs aren't for sissies in this case.
  18. Don't ask me why the show threw this in the mix, but Adrienne did have a flat tire and stopped to change it herself ("I ain't no hothouse flower, honey" was A's awesome line at the time) and THEN got into the swerving accident.
  19. In real life? Ha, you got me. In DAYS? Confusion, darkness, panic, plus the logistics of being on the same road at exactly the same time, I guess.
  20. Right! And if that's the way Ron is writing her, that's who she IS - -she doesn't exist outside of his writing.
  21. Very true!! I never thought of it that way, but you are absolutely correct. He's been the one constant.
  22. It was great -- Freddie did some nice work there. Better than when Adrienne died, I think.
  23. @FilmTVGeek80 I could kiss your post about Gabi - sums up my feelings as well. I don't hate her, but she's obviously a flawed character and we're supposed to feel conflicted about her. As are Abigail and Chad and every other character. I don't think we're supposed to ignore the bad things she's done and shows she is still capable of -- Melanie almost died because Gabi left her behind with a psycho and a BOMB. Gabi has been showing her nuttiness for a long, long time.
  24. Wha?? Chad, his father, deadly wishes? That came out of the blue, didn't it? I'm traveling next week and will miss episodes, aaargh. But I'll report back swiftly if I run into any Days stars at BOS or LAX this time, lol.
