All I could think of when Rafe was wringing his hands over Gabi was how he also wasn't there for Arianna. What was he doing when she was rushing around town and fled into oncoming traffic? And that reminded me of Nicole's culpability in that situation as well. Karma, people, karma. Yikes, I totally forgot about the Midol placement. WTF was that about? It's disruptive at the very least.

I also don't know what was up with the photoshopped picture. Abby was looking at it all dreamy-like, as if it was a teenage hearthrob. I don't understand why the writers threw that in there -- well, obviously so we know (again, in case we didn't pick it up the other day during the actual photo shoot) that Ben doesn't want any pictures of himself circulating around town. But that was just weird. I don't know how Marlena will keep the river incident to herself. I'm glad, though, that Gabi got to unload her story safely. Like others, I choked up a little when she ran into Rafe's arms. I have two big brothers, one who helped me enormously during a rough time -- guess I could relate to that hug. Although I like nuWill well enough, I was wishing that Chandler Massey could have had those meaty scenes at the police station and then with Sonny. Yuck, Nicole -- I said my piece about her the other day, but I hope she gets some psychiatric help this time around. Preferably away from Marlena and Salem altogether.

Way to go, Camilla -- where was that girl the whole time? I loved how she tied going to prison to her former crime, not the one that involved Sami and Kate. And if I'm ever in her shoes, I want EJ on my side. I think because she sold that backstory, the DA will go light on her and she'll be in prison for a minimal amount of time. Then, down the line, when Sonny and Will's relationship acquires some issues, she'll come back around to upset their parental balance. And Eric! Nice to see that fire in your eyes after all. Don't forgive, Eric, don't forgive. Go to Jennifer....Normally I'm sympathetic to anyone who's heart is breaking, but geez, Nicole, this is all on you. You f-ed up. Get some help to see that and come back when you're well.

So this is the new place! Looks nice! Just a few thoughts to get my feet wet. Love AZ for her acting chops (in DOOL terms, lol) but am so ready for Nicole to get her comeuppance. I know she's desperate and all, but her go-to impulse is always lie, manipulate, and lie some more. I'd like for her to be rehabbed, though, because I think she's a great character overall. Trouble-makers always move the plot forward. Jenn -- what was up with her Sharon Tate hairdo last week? Was it just so her shadow outside Dan's door would be unmistakably her? I'm looking forward to yet another block in the Dan and Jenn road to happy ever after. I'm thinking she and Eric switch partners down the line. Paige -- I love her! I know that's not a popular opinion, but I think she's lovely and playing her role well as the smart girl in the flower patch. She and JJ have some nice chemistry -- hope this one lasts for a while. It's also great to see JJ smile instead of stomp around. I'll take Rory and T anyday over Bev. Abigail - well, I want to like her, I really do, mainly because she's Jack's daughter. But she needs to either work on her edge so she can play in the big leagues with EJ or settle down into a nice background character like....oh, maybe Adrienne when she's not being annoying. But I think she (and KM) have been raked over the coals since the EJabby affair and I'd like to give her another chance. Besides, I think we're stuck with her. I miss Bo, Steve, and Carly.

Here in Boston, most of Wednesday and all of yesterday's show was pre-empted by coverage of the funerals of the two firefighters who died last week. In view of their sacrifice, only a very small part of me (like, 2%) was whining about missing the WilSon wedding.

Cheers, 3dog! I've watched DOOL for probably 30 years, when the supercouples Patch and Kayla, Bo and Carly, and Jen and Jack lit up the screen. I kind of resent what they've done to the character of Jennifer, but recent storylines also made me realize that it was Jack I loved most. I favor Carly over Hope by a mile, and I'm now hoping Nicole winds up with Dr. Dan -- who I apparently don't find as awful as most everyone else. I think that's because I loved his character on ATWT,.,,,anyway. Oh, and I see JJ's new girl as a cross between Winnie Cooper as others have said, and early Elizabeth McGovern circa Ordinary People (such a great movie).

Fellow refugee here! Have lurked forever because my brain couldn't retain my credentials at TWoP -- tho I mourn its passing, I'm thankful I can have a do-over over here.
