MB seems to have a lot of passion for his podcast and SB is no fool. And, honestly, if it’s just about the checks mixed with limited or no options elsewhere, then MB and SB should let the show do what it needs to for it to survive, for however long it has remaining and maybe even somehow experience a renaissance by shifting the focus. Actors who make their livings acting are fortunate and the industry is facing a lot of challenges coming off the dual strikes, IATSE maybe striking in summer, consolidations, et cetera. Daytime may not have been the dream they had but it’s made those men nice lives. I will hope they see all the other people involved and don’t get in the way.

Me too. I also think the show needs Mo/Sonny to take on a different role however much Mo might carry on and resist it. I know Mo’s been the guy for a long time and he stayed when others wouldn’t or couldn’t. Adam Harrington is a great get from prime time.

I’m not expecting miracles, but will welcome additional improvement over what I already see peeking through… I hated Carly in the ‘90s (the last time I was a regular viewer until now), but I could never take my eyes off of Sarah Brown. She had such talent. She had her troubles over the years and I hope she is in a good place now. And, yes, Frank isn’t good to everybody. The situation that occurred with Vinessa Antoine (the former Jordan) is really, really unfortunate I think in light of the extended LOAs plural and flexible arrangements I have observed for male actors on the program. Alley Mills praise of Frank in her Daytime Emmy speech has stayed with me too. You do not want that man as an enemy. Of that I feel confident.

Without that, what sex we see is just simulated sex, i.e. Jex. The couples I remember from my youth made me feel as if I was intruding because of the level of intimacy that informed the scenes. The Sprina N.Y. scenes the scabs wrote were a lovely callback, I thought. We all know Easton and Setton are both friends of Frank dating back to at least OLTL, and the one thing I really do appreciate about Frank is that he tries to take care of people that he cares for in a very unkind industry. However, I think something needs to give especially as the show is reset and will if Patrick Mulcahey is a decision maker like NLG said he is. It will be interesting to watch from out here. While BTS stuff can be entertaining, I often lack the stomach for just what we find out about…

TJ and Molly looked absolutely awful to me. Treat your S/SIL surrogate with the rapidly progressing pregnancy (14 weeks?!) with respect. If she wants to know the sex, she can, you don’t have to… That said, Kristina should not have offered nor been chosen for this with no prior births. Alexis called it as the mess it will be. Will Kristina be allowed to hold the baby when she delivers? Honestly. Anything we see now is mostly from fired people who knew they were fired. The Trina/Curtis scene seemed touched up to me too and even Carly/Joss seemed better, but I imagine PM picked his battles about what he could and couldn’t touch up in the waning days with the necessary economizing in Daytime. Maura has chemistry with a doorknob and elevates her scene partners, but I hope any dalliance whatsoever with her crypt sex baby daddy is temporary at most. I cannot imagine PM not using her. She’s committed, looks phenomenal, and is an outstanding actress.

It is. I work in communications and I am a big believer in play it straight and be fair to people. The blogger put it out there that RA has issues and allowed minds to wander about what those might be and whatever they were, they may be well behind him and not our business either unless they threaten the welfare of others. It is better for story if Taggert's on the canvas so I hope RA can be sometime soon, but I also know that sometimes doors are just closed to people regardless and the audience is out of luck.

I understand the clamoring I see for Taggert and the character’s erasure from Trina’s life is especially noticeable and unfortunate now, but… Something happened here and I think fans need to pick their battles wisely and with maximum information. I do wish Réal well. Article from SOD

As a head writer, no less... It will be EK and PM directing the writers room and reporting into Frank. I am eager to see what the team that is there does under new management. Writers always have editors. I know I do. ;-)

For me, Tyler will always be Nik. I wish the show chose differently, ie restoring the character and with a suitable recast (fine actors in the age range would welcome the work I imagine) or retiring Nik altogether. I muted Huss on X because I find some of his postings simply off putting. I do understand he wants to be there and is obvious about it which is not the case for some and it’s noticeable. Work for better or make your life better by moving on. Working actors are the lucky ones. I do still hope Ace as a Cassadine is erased by PM’s pen or at the very least his name changed.

I so wish TMZ didn’t get that… My late mother died of renal failure/cirrhosis so I know what a battle it is. With underlying mental health issues and the toll that business takes on sober and stable people, just tragic all the way around. Prayers for and peace to Tyler’s children. Molly lost me waving a pregnancy test in Kristina’s face after a week. It was a gross couples palooza with Brick and Jordan, Diane and Robert, and Finn and Liz. Brick, Diane, and Finn (+ his kid) are on my wish list for cast cuts. I hope everything is okay with Kirsten Storms. I see what the wardrobe, hair, and makeup departments do elsewhere and do not feel they are incompetent. I read NAC would be back after his LOA and his deal was up in July, but who knows anymore? I guess we’ll all see.

That's who Billy Miller could have, should have been, but the egos that sunk it with him probably would take a run at it again... MB is getting up there and SB is only there for what he can get. At some point, something needs to give... Running off great people does not help the show.

In a word, yes. And given that Tyler is dead, I wish they would undo garbage like that… Just like CM’s Drew should be an imposter. A presumed death would be overkill, pardon the pun, and kind of silly as they may opt for a Dan Stevens type deal in the summer. I would off Nik, eighty-six Esme, and return Ace to his rightful home, wherever that is. I personally think TA is what got Sprina on the “People” cover, just like it was always Genie whatever Monty said. They may find someone who is not a Fish Taco or Frosted Tips, but I would not rush it or push it with the wrong person. Some things have their time and then they are over. I hope the show gives fans all they can in the time they have.

I couldn’t help picturing Billy Miller in the scenes with Finola. Dammit. I get he has a lot of power there, and if you want or need to stay you try and get on, but the situation with MB’s son is still galling. I get wanting to help your kids any way you can, but honestly, it’s embarrassing for MB’s son, who should know to be embarrassed if he isn’t.
