Unless there's a real belief that NAC won't at least honor the remainder of his contract, which would be a real shame on multiple levels, I would take the opportunity to get Esme and the child off the canvas. On a show fixated with babies, its odd not to give a child to your biggest supercouple since the one that shall not be named and let that child grow in the background, but that's just me.

Sounds right and yes, Ace (in the Hole) remains baby’s name. The twins are cute, but I still hope the child turns out to not to be a Cassadine. It would be crushing to multiple characters and could lead to other discoveries… The Human Heredity college class I took years ago comes to mind every time I look at the infants cast, especially those blue eyes. ;-)

I agree. AH was tasked with the impossible. Seeing NAC today, I saw the OG Dark Prince TC. If they should find themselves in similar circumstances, the show should learn from the Fish Taco and Frosted Tips debacle after Tyler and JJ’s ‘90s exits. Just don’t.

The late Billy Miller was in some bigger projects, but I think he recognized the bread and butter value of Daytime in a fickle industry and was wise too. He also owned restaurants too if I am not mistaken. Pap walks and PR relationships are also things Daytime folks don’t have to deal with... ;-) And, yes, the less said is probably best about the profit sharing, but I will say NAC bears significant responsibility for checking out of GH the right way if and when he leaves.

Social media has its definite downsides. Well-intentioned and not well-intentioned fans overstep all the time and clog up actors’ notifications and snitch tag. In the before times, the comings and goings column in SOD preserved everyone’s sanity. Whatever NAC does, I wish him well, but this situation is a tricky one for him and the show and I hope he and the show try to handle it correctly. NAC was never on camera before this show so it literally launched him and Sprina has been a moneymaker for him. The “other brother” could be the one who really breaks out from this Murphy project and Murphy moves on from people, all the time. It’s the nature of the business. Tread carefully, is all I’m saying. People definitely need to calm down.

I just thought “there are things I don’t know here” when I saw KS’ wardrobe yesterday. Every other person there was appropriately attired. I know the actress has health problems so I feel icky even touching the subject and will stop there. Loved the look GF’s Laura gave when LW’s Carly said that you did not have to dig deep to find the similarity with her Carly and JZ’s Bobbie after Laura’s comment in her eulogy about Bobbie digging deep to find good in people. WTF sums it up. Ha! GF forever! I did not attend a beloved aunt’s funeral because my presence would have caused a stir. Already upset people do not need more drama. JJ’s Lucky not being there made sense to me and one never knows of the actor’s current relationship with the brass. AG’s Luke is dead and there is something to be said for people being done when they say they are rather than the in and out opportunistic folks like SB. LC has known health problems and it was dealt with in script with Willow saying Monica was ill. I have nothing for why Kim was not there, or excuses for them about RC’s Lucas not having equal billing to his sister. Brighton’s inclusion was beautifully done.

Not to mention, SB already talked about leaving again in a few years in his podcast. He’s not the same, his following is not the same, and the entertainment business is not amenable to aging. He’s there for the check until his other irons in the fire heat up. You may think that but you don’t say that... Other people will likely lose their jobs again in this… Everyone there at one time or another may have envisioned themselves winning an Oscar, but they are employed actors and people like China Beach Jeff Kober work there. Coming back strutting like a peacock is something else and is not something I would reintroduce onto the set. Hopefully the hot young ones see this dude for the cautionary tale he is about arrogance and not appreciating the all too rare successes you have in that business and making the most of them. Maura was incredible yesterday and I loved Ava reading Esme for filth.

So do I. It's also a dangerous precedent for ABC/Disney to rehire people who did not comply with a contract -- for any reason. And, long before the pandemic there was icky stuff with Burton. The money is better spent elsewhere. I think FV will do everything he can to keep ME employed before cutting him as I think ME's options are very limited, but CM may have read the tea leaves... What's fascinating is I do not see the sort of clamoring one might expect on X. I don't think Burton's following is anywhere near what it was, just sentimentality for his past ships.

I wish Nina just told Ned that Michael was blackmailing her. Having Sonny talk the character up doesn’t help. In Chad’s hands, Michael’s a snarling (that part is on point) pipsqueak. Willow should really be angry at Michael most of all when she inevitably finds out. Violet calling the shots and running everyone is crazy as is tethering Easton to a 26-year vet to try and make him and Finn palatable to the audience. You can’t save them all, Frank.

Those decorations reminded me of that massive engagement ring I saw on Courtney’s hand (Spencer’s mother) that baby stealer Jax gave her (making Robin be Maury Povich again), loud and tacky, when I tuned in once during that era. Courtney even knocked it and Jax bitched about Nik’s “ancient money.”

Michael Easton is hard on my eyes and ears. Good grief. I want Finn and Violet to move away. Gregory Harrison can stay. JJ and Tyler to Easton… Rebecca, I am sorry. The X crew moved on from Violet to “Blazer” and “Chaste” and their no love scenes. Amanda made herself look like a fool and a favorite at once. Many years married Mo’s Sonny has what, five baby mamas on the canvas right now? Ill mannered children are not cute. These kids are too old for it to fly. I was not around for the start of Joss and Dex, but didn’t they start as cheating? Yikes. Eden does the heavy lifting in all the scenes. I know Joshua is Mo’s son, but that’s the entertainment business, he’s got some range, is attractive, and there’s something there. Do all of Elizabeth’s sons have the Webber surname? It makes sense if they do.

It is, although I have seen that in my own life and the unhappy results. I personally fast forwarded her singing and moved along to the next scene, but Violet/the young actress is getting crushed on X. I really wonder about parents who put their kids out there to that degree.

I don’t like TJ shading the sister-in-law who will carry and birth a child for him and his wife. Valentin, your daughter needs to be deprogrammed. From Charlotte to Esmé, those who are able to be led to hurt others badly, need help themselves. The rest of it was fluff that I am guessing could be done by the temporary people while the regular writers caught up, rescripted, and maybe while they shot some stuff out of sequence due to the NAC LOA. Hopefully anyway…

I was touched by Spencer’s chat with Ace. His words to Trina later should resonate with her. Taggert raised Trina from birth, right? Hopefully she sees him even if we don’t. NAC has been a natural with them and the baby twins in the role are adorable. Now that Mama’s thankfully got a brand new place, she needs her memory back to either atone or own her evil. Something. I know Curtis wants out of that chair, but Curtis should have made the call to pursue the procedure. His body. “Portia knows best” cost him years with his child. I’m a newbie returnee and I could not feel too much for Marshall, but yes, live in the present and do better is the way when given a second chance. LW has some spark with spy guy. Mathison there’s just zilch. Recasting can lead to wonderful things as we have seen with NAC and Tabyana on the cover of the collector’s edition People magazine after Trina was recast, but I have long felt the show needs to know when to take the L. Sticking a recast in there is unfair to the recast sometimes. In total candor, Miller’s death also makes it tricky for me. Hoping Faux Drew runs into a dingo. The actor has GAF.

When I see Laura fawning over Esme I see Laura trying to undo leaving Nik in that heirloom cradle when she bounced, but it’s Spencer now in the Stefan role dealing with a woman who victimized him and the woman he loves and a kid that is not his. I will say again the kid needs a DNA test. I hope Laura winds up with Esme sized egg all over her face. Ace (in the hole—yuck) is a truly terrible name. Loss of memory has no effect on someone’s fundamental character. Laura’s Cyrus energy needs to be directed at Esme too, but I notice she softened toward Cyrus when Cyrus threw mom and Spencer in there. Mom guilt is how to get to Laura. Luke wasn’t worth it, huh Laura?

One would certainly hope not. Liability city.

There is a terrible article from the New York Post with the details of Billy Miller’s suicide. I will not share it and I do not recommend reading it. I am sorry for Billy’s family that the Post decided those details are our business.

I have the exact same question. Beyond her character deficiencies, Carly and Faux Drew are like watching a pot with the burner off. They should let CM move along. Blaze gives me a phony vibe. The positive: The huge cast offers flexibility for everybody I suppose. I recall the ’80s and ‘90s days of the “hot ones” on 3-5 days a week, but that leaves zero time for side gigs and will cost you people you want to keep.

This guy… He can’t have known Tyler would die just over a week later, but still wow. I want to tell the fans chatting with Martines about returning to hit up Google. That memorial post for Tyler should have stayed in his drafts too. Hopefully the shot SM took at Frank V. afterward about characterization indicates the show has no interest in his services. I don’t want another Nik period, but bringing this individual back would be absolutely unfathomable to me. No offense to the Nik and Gia fans on here, but I just cannot with this guy.

The Kristina character has never even been pregnant and given birth, correct? A surrogate should have childbearing experience first to know how their body will react to pregnancy, delivery (it can be different each time and result in permanent health problems), and what the recovery time is like. Kristina being Ms. Fix It for her little sister is not a good idea. Maybe that is their point and it will be a huge mess, but a foster to adopt story would provide TJ and Molly a child to love and nurture and remind people there are other paths to parenthood if that is truly what you want and it transcends biology as it should. I hope time killer filler is over soon and Liz really has zero chemistry with ME’s Finn.

I just started a rewatch of series 3, so thought to go looking for renewal news and voila! Hooray! I hope Luise von Finckh (Clara) and Max's family will be part of it.

I think what Mathison and Easton have going for them is they show and up and get it done—and their backstage schmoozing abilities. Laura Wright is very similar. None of them is super talented, but they found a niche for themselves in daytime, have loyal followers from show to show, and have survived for years in a very competitive and cutthroat profession. None of these folks is super talented or appealing to me, but they are less stressful for the show every contract cycle than say a bright light you always worry will bounce on you.
