  1. Sew Sumi - amazing powers you have... Ugh. Why couldn't they have gone with Charles, or relegated Spurgeon to middle?
  2. Ugh. People magazine website has the "exclusive" story. Still no name announced. Jessa (Duggar) Seewald Opens Up About Difficult Home Birth and Why She Was Rushed to the Hospital: 'Everything Was Different Than I Expected' This quote enrages me: "I said, 'That's it! I'm done! I am going to the hospital and I'm going to get an epidural,' " she says. "They asked me if I really wanted to do that and I said, 'No, I don't, but I do.' I wanted to try natural if at all possible." Really? Who is this "They" referenced above? So much fucking pressure all the time. Why is were no name? The kid has a name. I wasn't allowed to leave the hospital without a name on a signed birth certificate. Perhaps Arkansas is different? The baby is cute. There is a photo of Jessa with Ben and baby. It's a very real picture of a post-partum woman. Jessa looks pretty big (again - real! I'm not body shaming). I guess she doesn't get final say in pics People chooses.
  3. St. Julien Rembert Ravenel arrived yesterday, November 9. Kensington Calhoun's baby brother is early - he wasn't due until December.
  4. The Discovery Channel also aired a special called Birth Day a few years back. It was a live 24-hour program that followed delivering women at, I think it was 3, hospitals around the country. I had been admitted at about 36 weeks with high blood pressure. My OB told me that he was being featured on the program. If the decision was made for me to deliver, he said I would have the option to be filmed. As it was, my blood pressure stabilized, and I went home until two weeks later when I did deliver. I watched Birth Day when it aired, and sure enough - there was my OB, helping with the delivery of another baby. It was really surreal, as I had just been there, in that hospital. Amazing now to think that was totally live... The issues of malpractice must have put an end to it, as it only aired two, maybe three times.
  5. I love Tracey. She's quick-witted, and it's fun to watch her mess with people.
  6. Doodlebug - I always appreciate your bringing knowledge and perspective as an OB/GYN!
  7. OK. I'm actually home recovering from a hysterectomy (not childbirth related). At first your comment gave me pause, but then it made me laugh! I do hope Jessa's issues didn't progress that far.
  8. Yes, well written JenCarroll. Our son was circumcised in our home on the 8th day, and his Hebrew name announced. Our rabbi was in attendance for the service, but my OB/GYN did the actual circumcision. It's something he did on occasion for Jewish patients. I was happy that he did it. The 8th day part was hard. I had a c-section after my 10lb. 3oz. baby failed to progress during labor. However, loving family and friends were present, and I napped with the baby as soon as it was over, while the guests ate lunch! When my daughter arrived the next year, there was no circumcision, and we had her naming about six months after delivery. It's probably good if Jessa is still in the hospital, as she will hopefully be getting much-needed rest.
  9. I had the same confusion. I read that they are now selling the land where they were going to build their "dream house," along with the plans for a "celebrity" house (ha! ha!). The guy who was renting while they were trying to sell is gone. I think they moved back in right before the holidays last year.
  10. I love watching Milania. Yes, she's pretty out of control, but she is amusing. I've been watching some of the early-season shows. There's a scene of Milania (3) in a boutique, pulling a bunch of tights off of a display. Another where she's making pizza with her sisters, and totally taking control. She's very much the Milania you see today. No playing for the cameras. I wonder if being number three made her feel like she had to scramble to get noticed, or get her due. In addition to being somewhat of a menace, I think she is very bright, and actually has a lot of compassion for others. It will be interesting to watch her grow.
  11. He's cute. Cuter than Izzy. He will have fun playing with baby cousins Meredith and Israel (but no alone time with Uncle Smugs!). 9 lbs. 11 oz. is big. My first was 10 lbs.. 3 oz. (2 weeks late). Yes, ouch! And he never did fit in all those newborn clothes - straight to 3-6 month sizes! Looks like a home birth (bath towel wrap). I keep thinking Benjamin, Jr. For a name. Perhaps a way for Jessa to restore some of the dignity Jim Boob has stripped away from her husband. If not that, then something kind of trendy - Carter, Emerson.. I think a biblical name like Asher or Noah would be cute.
  12. Thanks ryebread. I heard the Fort Dix jokes(?), but didn't catch that Joe would be going there.
  13. Ha! Ha! Glad I don't have to feel like a 12-year-old boy alone ! Reminds me of when my dad used to call for the cat, "Here pussy, pussy..." My sibs and I would crack up.
  14. Andy asked Joe Giu on WWHL which of the RHONJ cast members had been in touch. He mentioned Rino had really reached out, and so I wasn't surprised by the scene at his restaurant. Does anyone know where Joe will be serving time?
  15. I thought I recognized the name Damon Dash on that list (owes close to $1M). Here's a short bio: Damon Dash, also known as Dame Dash, is an American entrepreneur. Dash is Jay-Z's former manager and business partner at Roc-a-Fella Records, and in 1999, he organized a tour for Jay-Z which made $19 million. I believe he and Chris Laurita were connected somehow... Wasn't Chris a part of the Roc-a-Wear clothing label? Possibly started up with Dash, and maybe an initial influx of Jay-Z $$?
  16. My memory might be fuzzy, but in the first season (first episode), doesn't Teresa show up with the (then) 3 little girls at Joe's office? I thought the business was somehow masonry related. I bet he didn't pay a penny for that slab of stone. He probably has a bunch of random pieces of marble, quartz, etc. at the hous in the garage or a shed. Kind of like when my IBM-dad used to bring home the beige THINK pencils and wide computer print out paper (perforated, circles on the side to fit the printer feeder), from his workplace. Of course, that doesn't mean Joe isn't spending money left and right that he doesn't actually have.
  17. Arianna looks EXACTLY like Kim's dad.
  18. I think Tori admits herself into the hospital so she can get a refill on her Percocet.
  19. In Andy Cohen's second book, Edmonds seems to be around at a lot of the same events as Cohen. I know Cohen is a huge Cardinals fan, but I did find it interesting all the mentions of Jimmy (and none of Meghan by the way...)
  20. I see absolutely ZERO chemistry between Vito and Lauren. None. If I recall, Vito was a friend of the boys - right? So, I guess Lauren ended up with him by default - he was around, so what the hell... Lauren has more sexual chemistry with Greg.
  21. I bet graphic artist Smuggar "designed" the invites. I was cracking up when they showed him working on Jessa and Ben's invites. As if my five year old couldn't drop all that shit into a template and print. Would have been funny if Joshie had two windows open - Paint (or whatever simpleton graphic design program he uses) on one screen, porn on the other. I could see him mistakenly dropping and dragging something like a reverse cowgirl positioned couple onto the front of the Amy's invite by mistake.
  22. Yes - I do agree with that. I mean, I'd be fleeing too if I had the Duggar moniker. However, I still find it annoying that she picks and chooses when to be a Duggar.
  23. People has a story this morning about Amy's upcoming wedding (this weekend), and how she "can't wait" to change her last name from Duggar. What a fucking hypocrite! She was Amy Jordan (her father's last name) for many years. Then, when she decided to jump on the Duggar Bandwagon, to hopefully fuel her singing career, she became Amy Duggar. She claimed it was all good, as her parents didn't marry for a long time after her birth, and she was rightfully using her mother's last name. I don't care what she calls herself, but I think the back and forth is self-serving and annoying.
  24. MEchelle wouldn't be able to identify photos of each of her children as babies, let alone have an album put together. I remember one episode where she said she couldn't remember if she knew ahead of time if her new baby would be a boy or a girl (I think it was Josh). Now, I haven't had a jillion pregnancies, but finding out the sex is an event I clearly remember having (and cherishing) with each of my pregnancies/children. It's all about the numbers with her - never the individual.
