Yes, and the more you looked at Richard over the course of the series. He HATED being called out on his mistakes or when he was in "the wrong". I mean after his revelation to Lorelai that he wanted to not only kill Christopher after finding out Lorelai was pregnant with Rory, but also how much he "ignored" being part of Rory's life for so long. He decided to be "traditional" and make good of a bad situation. I could have seen Richard presenting Chris at: clubs, parties, ect. Especially given his family background. However, didn't excuse that Christopher was a self-absorbed man-child who did EVERYTHING for himself and not anyone else. Even when he "pretended" he cared, Chris was more focused on getting into Lorelai's pants than being a parent or anything.

Like many of us said, they turned Vera into a farse and they could have saved themselves many times as pointed out in season 1-3 that some of the "problems" or "looks" of Vera were often exaggerated by Norm that he admitted to with Sam, Diane, Cliff and Frasier. Frasier even calling out why Norm did it so much and him admitting it just kind of became a regular thing and the fact that Vera stopped caring what Norm did. The writers honestly could have had Vera show up and just have it where some things were true about Vera just being someone who was like Norm and that his exaggerations were true. Then go from there, especially since George Wents' real life wife who was also an actress was doing the voice of Vera and was her with her face covered in the pie in the Thanksgiving Episode. It's like the writers just got lazy.

Seems that Rick's uncle pretty much mentally throws him him and when he doesn't agree, that's when he physically does it. I agree, sounds like that Wendy didn't know how much of an ass her brother was and now that she is dead, he is lashing out. As pointed out, instead of him clinging to Rick as his only "living" connection to his sister. He basically sees him as a nuisance and a: "Why did they saddle you with me? I HATE kids!" I agree with Beth, she is pretty much an outcast and instead of trying to seek out, she clings to her parents. They are unaware of just how much Beth is seen as: annoying, clingy or just out there at times. They see it too, but it's more of: "oh that daughter of us, but seriously honey, be a 16 year old." Sadly, outside of Pat and Barb, all of the kids' parents are assholes with pretty much no redeeming qualities except for Yolanda's brother and the fact that Beth's parents just don't get Beth's situation.

I know and considering it was the same writers, you think that would have transitioned better. I mean, you could understand him not understanding things with Fredrick, but really, there were parts of Fraiser's character that disappeared when he went to his own show. Then again, I mean look at Norm, people enabled his behavior forever and he kept on chuggling along with outrouchous bar tab. Saying he "loved his wife" yet did whatever he could to stay away from her. Hell, Vera must have been more worried about being single. Considering Norm was at: Cheers, the bowling alley and the Hugry Hephored and then working or NOT working inbetween. There was that one phone message at Cheers where Vera didn't even know Norm was asleep next to her thinking it was their dog. Because he comes home LATE ALL THE TIME.

That's what drove me nuts for the first couple of seasons between Addy and Derek. Addison kept on trying to throw in the fact that Derek should be with her and Richard "out of guilt" kept trying to put them back together. Yet, it was pretty clear as Addison put it: "Derek is in love with Meredith and the only one who doesn't know it is Derek." You wanted to go: "No, the writers keep wanting to keep them apart and they make Derek act like he has selective memory."

Right and here, Yolanda is wanting to be forgiven for doing something stupid. However, that's the thing, in what? 5-8 years Yolanda would just not talk about that and her brother would also just leave the parents behind when he gets out of school. The grandmother is showing signs she has forgiven Yolanda, but the parents are holding on to "you embarrassed us and we are very catholic, so no." Beth is she stuck on: "Family is so special" kind of like Sue Heck times 10. Not that I don't get kids being like that or think that their parents will be around FOREVER doing things for them. Same with Rick's situation, as a school teacher, I have seen these things first hand (not super villains and super heroes in a small town/school). However, the cliches, the shaming over doing something stupid that leaves them outcasts, homes that you just can't pin abuse on them, drug use or as said, kids who think their parents will be around forever and do things with or for them ALL the time.

Jason is another example of these "rich people" treating their kids in legacy only. Downright either telling them: "You are better than this." or "How dare you have free will, you will DO WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO!" Hell, Gilmore Girls could be a grand example of how not all abuse is physical, it is extremely mental.

So, Beth is the opposite of a teen "trying to gain independence" it's her parents that want the independence. They expected her to want to break away from them, have her own friends, start learning who she was. Instead, Beth went the other way, she doesn't want to be separated from her parents. It's like a spin where you have the kid who expects their parents to do EVERYTHING for them in life, but instead, she just wants to keep being the "happy little family" she has had all her life. That's unhealthy and it looks like becoming Dr. Mid-nite is going to give Beth a reality check. Speaking of horrible home life, poor Rick. His parents are killed by the Injustice Society. His uncle pretty much abuses him mentally. He closed himself off more than Yolanda did, where in her case everyone judged her from the nude pics. Here, Rick didn't want to open up to anyone, so he is branded the outcast. I was very happy Courtney pretty much told him, he is either uses his powers the right way, or he doesn't get them at all. Loved the ending with Fiddler and the Gambler, that was down right creepy and shows that even the Gambler will get his hands dirty.

Exactly and if you look at how she handled things in season 5-6 with Rory, you really do have to wonder if that was the plan. Many have us have wondered what would have happened with Sutlific couldn't of reprised his role as Christopher in season 5 if I'm with Her got a second season on ABC. The show was not only the bubble, but was close to getting another season and then yanked it for a time slot for an older show. Good old networks, pounding series that are dying painful deaths more time while other potential and watchable shows are just kicked to the curb.

Especially, because Rory at 22 having an "oops" would make more sense than someone bouncing for a decade and then just as things are together is: "Sorry mom, I pulled as you, but I have NO IDEA who the dad is."

I thought it was a lot of fun.

Right, because it was a known fact that Monica's apartment was rent control and even their super almost threaten to kick her and Rachel out after the situation with the garbage cute issue. Rent control is still a real things even now, but there are SO MANY owners who look for loop holes to kick those tenants out to get more money in the long run. It's very vicious these days. Especially in cities like New York, Chicago or LA.

Funny and their children NEVER had any indication of that. Though I do wonder to this day how they got to have a domestic ostrich in their home. Even in the early to middle 90s San Fransisco would have been all over that.

How true and even when they did the flashbacks of how they first knew Phoebe and how she was Monica's old roommate. I just like to understand how a struggling masseuse was able to get her own apartment, which was pretty good. Leaving Monica to look for a roommate and ending up with Rachel when Monica's place was rent controlled. I get that Phoebe had issues "living" with Monica on a daily basis, but she was over there almost ALL THE TIME. Phoebe was basically like Larry from Three's Company or Kimmy from Full House (Though I always loved Andrea Barber). They were characters who did some very zany, under handed or things that would not ALLOW them to be full functioning adults later in life.

How about hating Pottery Barn because she wanted "furniture with history" and not brand new from chain stores. I remember when watching it, my stepfather said: "Yeah, and when it has bed bugs and breaking apart, you are going to want new furniture your twit!"

The difference was that the cast DIDN'T KNOW the original finale was their last episode, it was just meant to be a regular "season finale" when filmed. Which was funny, because they were going to skip DJ and Kimmy's High School Graduation and just have prom. Of course, since EVERYTHING was focused on Michele at the time, it's no wonder. Seeing the video, this was more emotional, because they ALL knew this was it for the show.

I agree on both. At that point, I'm sorry, Lorelai would never have married Christopher and at that point, Chris just had Lorelai back in his mind, to then go straight to marriage even if they had known each other over 20 years. No, don't think so. EVERYTHING dealing with Luke and his unknown daughter just never made sense from the moron that was Anna to the fact Luke wouldn't have run straight to Lorelai or DEMANDED a REAL DNA test.

I hated though how they then not only killed him off, but had it where he another "secret family" who had twins too. That was not only too much but stretch credibility in everything.

I think the biggest problem was that Steph was throwing out family favorites like the cheesy potatoes and her MOTHER'S pumpkin pie. If she would have kept those and then added her's that would have been fine.

It got to be too much. I mean go forward to season 6 with Kirk driving through Luke's dinner because he is blinded by the Stop Light Camera. First of all, who the HELL put in that camera that it would be that bright. You have to have city or state workers DO THAT! Can't be just anyone, and they HAVE to check the brightness so that doesn't happen. Plus, I get that Luke refused any help from Taylor who felt so bad. However, when he ends up yelling (finally) at Taylor about ALL the stupid crap he has done over the years and how it ALL backfires on him. Taylor just sits there silent. Luke should have followed: "NEVER EVER, come to my diner, NEVER come in 100 ft of me, I'm getting a restraining order and NEVER BRING DUMBASS KIRK INTO ANYTHING!" Followed by Luke look at Kirk and going: "GROW THE FUCK UP and LEAVE TOWN!" "I getting an order on you too." Followed by turning to Lulu and going: "Good luck!" Then walking away.

That's what people got really tired of. We were to "believe" that Emily and Richard were just naive to the World of the Rich and Lorelai just couldn't help, but screw things up as a result. It was complete BS. Same here as we see Kirk go from a guy apparently wanting to grow up for Lulu and have a family and his own life. To going to the point he has Lulu convince her entire school to let an almost 40 year old play the lead part where the oldest kid is 10 years old. The fact that then Kirk reverts to ACTING like a 7 year old. To the point he reveals he just wants to be Taylor some day, the Selectman who apparently has more power than the mayor and all his "odd jobs" are just so he can get there. It's a big WTF!

The villains here also have a richer background come across as people who went routes with the hands that were dealt them. The motivations are making more sense and with some of the villains, they don't like what they did, while others still use the excuse: "I did this to make "our lives" better. With Buffy almost all the villains wanted to bring down the end of the world and I remember once reference in season 6 where they asked the villain why they want to do that all the time and then what happens. Some of the villains on Buffy were: "Well, that's the plot for my character, why should I have a reason?"

Right, those are all the reasons why. The writers deciding to dump Ben the last two years because of an argument with the Triplets' parents was a different story, but honestly, Susan and Carol were characters I think many people were happy when they weren't shown anymore. No offense to the actors, but their characters became ones you wanted to see hit by a bus in later seasons.

It's funny, that in the original comic, Beth's mother was EXTREMELY close and her father was pretty good too. I am looking forward to getting more of why Beth is SO FOR HER parents instead of other kids at school. I mean at that point in your life, you think she have more of a circle of friends. She is more of an outcast BECAUSE she is so buddy/buddy with her parents, which they are getting tired of too.

Why I got tired of Ross's ex wife and her spouse. After Ben was born they were always bringing out the worst in Ross or half the time they looked like a gay couple starved for sex. Many times Ross would come over to talk about or get Ben. They were ready to hop into the bedroom for hot sex. It was eye rolling.
