I started re-watching season 1 in HD and noticed some ridiculous dialogue in Jersey Devil: Dr. Diamond: If it is a primate, it would have a natural fear of heights. It would also want to stay close to its food source. Uh... whatever you say, professor (?!?). I guess hundreds of arboreal primates missed that memo.

You know you have an X-Files problem when...
Hidebehind replied to queequeg's topic in The X-Files [V]
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had X-Files related dreams before... The weirdest one was about a year ago, when I was in the midst of rewatching the show and was going through 2-3 episodes per day. I dreamed that I was a toddler in a grocery store. I also had the brain of a toddler and couldn't really understand language or form comprehensive thoughts, if that makes sense. I looked up at my parents and they were... Mulder and Scully! But they weren't "Mulder and Scully" in the dream, just my parents. I followed them around the store for a while and then we somehow got separated. I started crying and ran around the store, then raced outside to the parking lot. I went towards our car and could see them being taken away by shady government officials. Not that exciting, I know. :P -
The X-Files Revival: The Truth is in Here
Hidebehind replied to HalcyonDays's topic in The X-Files [V]
This is the best evidence I could find. I think it's safe to say that he got roasted LOL. I wouldn't mind if the Lone Gunmen returned. Their deaths were never shown on screen and there was no real reason for them to die in the first place. I guess Mulder did see their "ghosts," but maybe he was just crazy... -
The X-Files Revival: All Speculation Leads to the Truth
Hidebehind replied to Primetimer's topic in The X-Files [V]
I wouldn't mind if they ignored a lot of the later mythology. My main hopes are: 1. They focus on black oil and aliens. 2. They forget about super soldiers and magnetite. 3. If they bring in William, he's a normal kid, not some sort of super hero. 4. There's a happy ending for the characters. If they do end up making a third movie after this, great, but I don't want a cliffhanger like with IWTB :( -
The X-Files Revival: The Truth is in Here
Hidebehind replied to HalcyonDays's topic in The X-Files [V]
Well, I'm not thrilled either, but it seems like they really want to recreate the atmosphere that the early seasons had, right down to the same characters. I suppose he could be in some sort of flashback or an alien clone lol. -
The X-Files Revival: All Speculation Leads to the Truth
Hidebehind replied to Primetimer's topic in The X-Files [V]
Personally, I think it would be far more interesting to actually portray a healthy long-term relationship for once... I don't think they'll try and break them up. Six episodes doesn't give them much time for a storyline like that IMO -
The X-Files Revival: The Truth is in Here

All of this is so exciting!! Is it just me, or has Chris finally realized that he needs all the creative input he can get (hence bringing back all these writers)? I feel really optimistic about this if that's the case. I think these six episodes are going to be amazing :D -
Mulder and Scully: Partners Together in Crime.
Hidebehind replied to AntiBeeSpray's topic in The X-Files [V]
Yeah, it was Per Manum, from one of the flashbacks. I just found this: http://cleigh6.tripod.com/CTP/CTP-permanum.html It's very interesting. -
Mulder and Scully: Partners Together in Crime.

MULDER: I want to do this, Scully. For so many reasons. But what I’m not sure of is what happens then. I mean, I know what happens, but what about between me and you? What about work, the X-Files… SCULLY: I don’t know. I haven’t thought about it really. I’m assuming I would take a leave of absence. MULDER: As strange as it may sound, I just don’t want this to come between us in any way. Wow, was that really in the original script? Why didn't they use it? It makes a lot more sense than what actually aired. *facepalm* -
It's definitely interesting to see what people's favorite episodes are. I have to admit that I never "got" JCFOS (maybe because I'm younger than most of the references and cannot appreciate them). I was surprised that Squeeze was #1. It's my favorite episode, but this is the first time I've seen someone else rank it so highly.

Season 8: Ginormous pregnancy and WHINY Scully...
Hidebehind replied to AntiBeeSpray's topic in The X-Files [V]
I'm really not a fan of Scully's pregnancy. I never saw Scully as someone who would impulsively decide to have a child, especially while working in such a dangerous environment. If they wanted her to have a kid, they should have had her adopt Emily back in season five---at least that's more true to her character. I never felt invested in Doggett, but I think he's a decent character. My favorite episodes from this season are Roadrunners, Patience, Redrum, Vienen, and Per Manum. I think Roadrunners in particular is great. -
Here's some more: At the end of Paper Hearts, Scully gives Mulder a side-hug. At least one scene in Arcadia. They're posing as the Petrie couple and Mulder uses this as an opportunity to hug her while they sit on the couch. I don't remember the episode name, but they hug while Scully's in a hospital room. I think it's after her sister died. Scully hugs Mulder after she comes back to life in Milagro. In Detour, Scully holds Mulder in a hug-like embrace.

http://www.x-fileslexicon.com/exclusive/vincegilligan.html In particular... Matt: Now there’s a lot of media attention about Fox television in discussions to do an X-Files revival / mini-series with David, Gillian, and Mr. Carter; if asked, would you want to be involved? Vince: I would love to be involved. I don’t know with my current schedule, if I necessarily could be involved, but I got to tell you. I hope that is the case, and it works out that there more X-Files in the offing because even if I weren’t involved, I can tell you as a fan, I’d be right there with my Dr. Pepper and my big bowl of popcorn, and the lights dimmed down low. I think The X-Files is going to live forever. I think it’s a wonderful show, I am more proud that I can even express that I was a part of it, that I was a fan before I was ever a part of it, and I knew it was something special before I was ever involved in it. The thought that there could be more episodes of The X-Files is very exciting to me indeed. Absolutely if I knew I could do it, I would love to be a part of it, but even if I am not, you can know for a fact that I’ll be watching every episode and rooting them on, and being very much the fan boy that I started, in regards to The X-Files. Yay!!

(That's awesome! I wanted to be a biologist for a long time, but now I'm thinking about pursuing Computer Science/Mathematics). Back on topic: I also didn't know about the condom. I guess you have to be innovative when you don't have access to today's high-tech special effects... lol

I really like Firewalker. The fungus is actually based on a real fungus that affects ants, which I think is pretty cool.

His name is Mystic, but I call him Misti-poo (and Mystic-kitty, and Mistletoe, and Mist...) My mom has a calico who fits your description--very prissy and starts trouble with the other cats, lol. Every black or tuxedo cat I've owned has been an angel. It's a shame that a lot of people associate them with bad luck. I've heard that a lot of people adopt black cats around Halloween and then return them to shelters the following week. :(

Wow, thank you! I'm not a professional, but nature photography is a big passion of mine. And it helps that he tends to sit still for long periods of time :)

My cat as a kitten: 1 My cat as an adult: 1 2 3 He was found abandoned on the side of the road. He doesn't act very much like a stereotypical cat--he's very attached to me and follows me around everywhere. I've never had a cat that behaved quite like him before.
