  1. Heh, sorry :p Always thought the William storyline was kind of weird, but I liked the way 1013 incorporated it this season. The cute fantasy sequences worked on me.
  2. After watching season 10: - Home Again and Founder's Mutation > MASMTWM. MASMTWM wasn't bad, but it felt like a tonal successor to Jose Chung's, and I'm a Clyde Bruckman person. - Babylon > My Struggle and My Struggle II. At this point I have no faith in the mythology.
  3. For the person who made the season 9 thread Are you on the first episode of season 9, Nothing Important Happened Today? It sounds like you might have started Nothing Important Happened Today ll.
  4. I've never seen anyone say anything positive about Travelers, but I like it. The monster was kinda cool and actually scary enough that I was a bit unnerved while watching it the other day (and I haven't been scared by an episode in many, many years). I also appreciate the attempt to flesh out the X-Files universe. The explanation for the "X" Files was a nice touch, and I liked that they explored William Mulder's backstory. I like Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man and Unusual Suspects for much the same reason. These are also not very popular with most fans, correct? Chinga gets a lot of vitriol, and it's actually one of my favorite episodes from season 5. Same for Kill Switch, All Souls, and Mind's Eye. Scratch that; I think season 5 is underrated in general. I think The Goldberg Variation is excellent, but it often goes unmentioned. I like Badlaa (I'm not even going to try to defend myself here). I think IWTB gets more flack than it deserves. Hmm... maybe I just have bad taste? :p
  5. I finished the All Creatures Great and Small series. I also read The Diving Bell and the Butterfly by Jean-Dominique Bauby. Now I'm reading The New Way Things Work by Neil Ardley and David Macaulay.
  6. It would be cool to get an Emily mention. Yeah, I'm excited for the episodes, but I'm also having a lot of fun analyzing everything. I'll be sad when filming ends. :p
  7. Here's what I've got, in order of least to most speculative: 1) There's a car behind Scully, so it's likely the parking garage meeting. I don't know for sure if this is the same scene as in the call sheet, but it sure looks like it. 2) I don't think she's wearing the same clothes she had on while driving with Tad; her shirt is definitely different. I can't tell if it's the same coat. 3) If the call sheet is accurate, this scene probably occurs late in the episode. 4) There's a lot of tension in the scene. Something bad happened after their meeting with Tad. (I'm assuming that scene occurs prior to this one.) 5) It's always possible FOX edited their dialogue to make the scene sound more dramatic. They did something like this before with an IWTB promo.
  8. The combination of the character Shiraz and the title Babylon makes me think the episode will deal with the Middle East in some way. It may bear similarities to the episode Kaddish, which explored Jewish legends. Obviously it's not just a run-of-the-mill MOTW, though. I think it will be an important episode for Scully and involve something she's personally invested in---like in All Souls, maybe? It's hard to come up something specific, since we really don't know much about her character right now (it's been 7 years since we last saw her). I could see the story going in many different directions. Mulder, William, or even something related to those alien spaceships from season six. Einstein and Miller are almost weird enough to suggest a dream sequence or alternate reality. On the other hand, their contracts being extended kind of blows that theory out of the water. CC has talked a lot about "trying new things" and "breaking ground." I have no idea what that's about. Since there's a racist nurse, maybe Scully gets involved at the hospital again. It sounds very interesting to me.
  9. I've been reading all about Babylon legends for the past 30 minutes. Who knew being an obsessed X-Files fan was educational? The episode does sound like it will have a serious tone, which makes me very curious about Einstein and Miller... So far it sounds like we're getting one of each episode "type." Mytharc (My Weakness), horror (Home Again), funny/strange (Mulder and Scully meet the Weremonster), religious (Babylon). So what theme do you think the fifth episode will have?
  10. I agree that it's fake, though obviously we'll know for sure in a few days if someone sees Joel McHale filming in a jewelry store... :P The (real) episode name is interesting, though. Time to research Babylon.
  11. Is this what you mean? I haven't seen any official confirmation yet.
  12. The return of the Lone Gunmen is confirmed. I assume this means they could feature in episode 4, 5 or 6. 6 is the most likely candidate, but I guess they did show up in MOTW episodes too sometimes. There's also been another article released; you can see it here http://switchhasbeenflicked.tumblr.com/ Nothing we haven't seen already however New footage will air tomorrow night on Wayward Pines. I can't wait for new material to over-analyze :)
  13. By the way, I think all those set photos from earlier are legit. Their EXIF data has been stripped. I saw this old quote (March 2015) from Carter. I thought it was sorta interesting since we've been talking about William and colonization lately.
  14. He's talked a little about that in recent interviews. Apparently he was shocked at how quickly those photos from the second day of shooting spread via social media.
  15. I'm sure FOX wants to keep the same "formula" they had 20 years ago, even if it's not necessarily true to the characters at this point in time. I don't know if M&S separating was CC's idea or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if FOX had some input. The UST was a big part of the show back in the day. (This is assuming the rumors are true. I'm still convinced that it's a ruse .)
