  1. I loved this episode, and my husband loved it, especially since he was the first in his family to marry outside the Chinese race lol. I kind of figured Emery and Audrey would end up hitting it off after their first meeting : )
  2. As weird as the cousin thing is, I remember when my mom got remarried and I got a step brother, my cousin (who was now his cousin by marriage) had quite the crush on him for a year almost (and they were around 14/15 yrs old). I do admit though the fact that Lily is older and he is considered her Uncle makes it seem squicky, maybe if Lily was closer to 4 and he was the cool Uncle who played with her at family outings I could see, but I thought I remember Manny and Luke not liking Lily (something about her being the baby of the family?).
  3. My oldest son watches this show with me and we love it! All of my kids have Chinese middle names so I was kind of wondering why they didn't just have the boys use their Chinese names as middle names, but I also understand wanting to keep in touch with their heritage. I forget did the show mention if the boys were born in the states? I guess I always assumed they were so I would have figured that the parents would have just given them English first names and Chinese middle names....(that's what my in-laws did).
  4. This episode made me laugh simply because my middle son had just came home with a note from his teacher stating they had lice in the classroom (again for like the 3rd time this year). Was really made when we missed the last grandma line due to some blurp from the station near the end of the episode about their weather team or something....
  5. I feel they are taking quite a bit of liberty with some unknowns, (really not feeling the whole David and the Queen thing...) but I also knew they would probably do this so I really shouldn't be surprised. As for the anointing yeah I was under the impression it was a lot more like pouring it over his head not just a drop or so. Also I was kind of surprised they didn't show Samuel going through all of David's older brothers first, and if I remember after all of the older brothers passed by Samuel David wasn't even present. Samuel had to ask if he had any more sons and David was almost kind of an afterthought. I will give them credit for showing David's loyalty and devotion to King Saul, although not sure how long that will be shown after the killing of the boy.
  6. David did actually slay a Lion and other animals than just wolves, but yeah he would have had a staff along with the sling, the Lion of course never had a name or was known throughout the land (or at least wasn't really mentioned much in the Bible other than, yeah I killed a lion). I'm not sure how I feel about it, my husband said so far he's ok with it, historically it was a violent time, but I'm sure they are adding stuff on to make it more entertaining. Anyone know how long this series is to go on for?
  7. As she said, "why am I here, I have a grammy" I laughed at that......... Overall I will more than likely watch all the episodes, the nostalgia works for me
  8. Seriously, this guy is in my state.....maybe he's meeting up with Mark from this past season...
  9. It's sad that I'm about to admit this but when I first watched this episode I kept wondering why they got the animal wrong since this Chinese New Year was the Year of the Monkey and the dates they were traveling were off......then I realized this show is set in the 90's. I have to say that was the first time an episode did not have the 90's feel to it. Although I did catch the airport exchange better on the 2nd time around when the lady at the counter was asking if they were bringing anything dangerous on the plane with them and Louise listed items, one being fireworks and the attendant was like, oh those are fine, just no citrus. I laughed way too hard at that the 2nd time around and that was probably the only part that felt 90's to me. My oldest son watches this show with us now and he loved this episode and he was going around talking about getting red envelopes (and trying to get his brother and sisters from them) when my in-laws were coming up this weekend.
  10. Wonder how Devar is dealing with the storm that hit, I'm in the state below and we got close to 30 inches and with all the wind and drifts closer to 3ft in some areas...fun times.
  11. Putting my 2 cents in about the mani/pedi, I have taken my daughter (as young as 2) to go get a pedi with me and if I'm getting one done they generally don't charge me for hers. If that was a place Jen frequents often they could have done it for free.
  12. While I don't live in Baltimore I am a MD girl and my husband and I usually go down there for a major anime con around the end of July, I will be keeping my eyes open for Mark and Nikki just to see if he comes out to see all the Halloween in July people lol.
  13. I missed this show, the kids are cute and I just kept laughing at "Ice Princess"......guess they didn't have money to buy the rights to the name lol......
  14. there are no words.....Bible Bowl.....and I'm a Christian and I still don't know what to say about this.....
  15. First off I will greatly miss this show, i remember Talk Soup days, didn't watch too much after Greg left (mainly due to not having the channel) and picked it back up as The Soup right around the time I got married (and made my husband watch it also). Worse part for me is hearing pop culture news and my first thought is "man can't wait to see what Joel does with this information this week" just to realize.....there's not going to be a soup this week.....or ever......
  16. why can't Anna stay at Jill's house when she leaves, why stick 5 people in a bedroom.....
  17. I am wondering just how stupid these guys are with this baby food thing......just no.....
  18. Hopefully this will work, thought you guys may like this I'm not sure if the whole video will appear, there is a bit of language so just a warning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVQ9r3Smooo&feature=youtu.be
  19. As someone who watched Jem quite a bit as a child I went into this movie with very........very low expectations since all the reports I had read before left me wondering if this movie would ever come out. I saw it Saturday night with a whopping 9 other people in the theater and I will say....it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. There were some throwbacks to the original which I enjoyed, and yeah Synergy looked like a leftover prop from the movie echo but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I will spoiler the next part just to be on the safe side: Not sure if they could even pull off a 2nd movie but if they did I would see it again. I'm not expecting it to win any awards but I am coming to grips with it and it wasn't as terrible as it could have been.
  20. and Shaq-fu....I have to say I love this show, hope it sticks around.
  21. Great the one with the biggest age gap is less than 2 hrs from me.....cant wait for the train wreck...
  22. Almost ruined a keyboard, I think I will refer to TLC from now on by that name....
  23. I seriously thought the kid was like 14/15 tops, I did a double take when she said 18.....kid needs to find something to do...
