  1. There are people buying Bibles from him. That is like buying a vegan cookbook from Hannibal Lecter (his favorite actor!).
  2. Ok but no need to be dismissive when others are offering a counterpoint to that example. I only find something wrong when I think someone is saying something wrong. Or something I disagree with. Same as others have done with me on here. Which is all fair. If anything, it feels like you want to say whatever you want to say without ever being challenged on it by anybody else.
  3. I did. Also it kind of feels like we are veering into "But I have Black friends!" territory. The media which others on here have pointed out seemed to all follow the same playbook. Yes, people were united after 9/11 for a brief moment, but it was just that, a brief moment. It didn't last long. Grinding axes doesn't solve anything, true, but neither does looking at the past with only rose colored glasses. Also, there are people actually pointing out how they were in the same situation as you are and experienced it differently. Just saying.
  4. Yes, and that's YOUR experience. Not everyone in other parts of the US (hell not even everyone in NYC even) at the time shared that same experience. Yeah, that lasted for like a week maximum. Again, other people who don't fit a certain mold experienced things differently at that time.
  5. Didn't Trump show up on WWE at some point too?
  6. NYC is not America.
  7. True, but some of us at the time weren't feeling it only from the government.
  8. Also it depended on your religion and/or ethnicity too.
  9. And including: Don’t underestimate the Rogansphere. His mammoth ecosystem is Fox News for young people. "Podcasts like Joe Rogan’s and Theo Von’s aren’t on the fringes. Their blend of off-the-cuff, Trump-leaning commentary blurs traditional lines between left and right – and offers listeners companionship."
  10. Hopefully this means people on both sides will be less triggered by other people's pronoun choices in 10 or 20 years. Hopefully.
  11. Aw. May he Rest in Peace.
  12. Oh, he is involving himself because the UK government is calling out both him and Twitter/X for inciting people to be involved in the August riots in the UK. "Musk, who has been a fixture at the side of Donald Trump since his re-election as US president, was responding to a Guardian report on Wednesday that the Commons’ science and technology select committee would call him to give evidence in the new year in its inquiry into the spread of harmful content on social media after the August riots. The committee’s chair, Chi Onwurah, a Labour MP, said she wanted to see how Musk, who owns the X social media platform, “reconciles his promotion of freedom of expression with his promotion of pure disinformation”. X hosts accounts by figures including Tommy Robinson and Andrew Tate, who were accused of inciting people to join Islamophobic protests. Musk, who has more than 205 million followers on X, responded by saying the MPs would be summoned to the US. He has previously complained that prison sentences handed down to people who stoked the riots on X are a breach of free speech rights and said: “I don’t think anyone should go to the UK when they’re releasing convicted paedophiles in order to imprison people for social media posts.”" Billionaires and corporations (not just social media companies) already have far too much influence in government policy (not just in the US). Having Musk be a part of Trump's administration would embolden him and them to use their influence even further. Maybe it's all hot air from his side, but it could be the start of an (even more) dangerous precedent.

  14. To paraphrase Nene Leakes, this bish done lost it. Elon Musk to ‘summon British MPs to US to explain threats to American citizens’. "Elon Musk has said UK MPs “will be summoned to the United States of America to explain their censorship and threats to American citizens” in a fresh escalation of tensions between the world’s richest man and Labour."
  15. Turner Classic Movies.
  16. I just hope someone is there to take a pic of Don Jr's face when DT says in front on him to Elon Musk "You're the son I never had". Also, is it just me, or has DT seemed to forget Vance is his VP-elect? I mean, in some ways, that could be a blessing in disguise, but still.
  17. I keep forgetting she is on the show.
  18. Ugh, I hate that Kyle is making me feel bad for Dorit. I can understand why Dorit feels the way she did. After LVP and Teddi were gone, it felt like Kyle was hanging out with Dorit the most out of the remaining HWs throughout the years. And even if it was because Mauricio and PK were friends, they probably did do things as couples did together, even if they just traveled once, I could see them doing lots of double dates and just hanging out together as a foursome. Maybe Kyle just wants to revise history to fit her narrative? Also I agree with Dorit regarding choosing Kathy as her favorite of the sisters at that Bravocon event. It was clearly meant as a joke since Kyle spilled the drink on Dorit. And you can see Kyle genuinely laughing at the moment as well when Dorit said Kathy. Not awkwardly, but genuinely laughing at the joke. And yet somehow Kyle wants us to believe she was traumatized by that? Honestly, low-rent Demi Moore making me feel sorry for Dorit might be one of the most offensive things she has done on this show.
  19. I liked her too. She seems fun and chill, but it was just the first episode (and I saw a peek from the next episode). So we'll see how things go during the season with her.
  20. The prison industrial complex is just as bad as the military industrial complex.
  21. Who would have thought we'd see the day when Dorit has a better relationship with Erika than with Kyle. On the other hand, this is a HWs show, where alliances friendships shift over the seasons, so anything is possible. As long as Garcelle and Sutton stay friends, I'll be happy.
  22. How do you feel about hate speech legislation? One could argue that is people speaking their minds in public.
