Ugh, of course John gets hold of the wrong end of the stick when it comes to who's running Pikeman. Sigh. John needs to stop teasing us that Carly might go to prison. She never will, we all know that. What did Sam expect from Carly? Carly will always take Jason's side. I had to laugh when Sam said she grew up but Jason didn't. Jason can't grow up; he's brain-damaged. Sam should have a serious conversation with Danny, which if the writers weren't allergic to effort, could be interesting.

Which applies to Drew as well, IMO. He was just fine going by Drew Cain until now.

Drew changing his last name is dumb because it's not as if people won't otherwise know he's a Q. I had to chuckle when Curtis was telling Portia he won't mind the extra work on the wellness project because it mean he'll be more of his own boss and able to incorporate his ideas. I really hope he unknowingly brings in some hucksters and ruins things. I wonder if the emphasis on 90 days for Finn's rehab is also a signal that the program involves more than going to two meetings a day and is likely residential. If this is a way to get Michael Easton off the canvas, whether temporarily or permanently, we still have Violet, and she'll need to be dealt with. I bet she'll go with Chase and BL, who don't need a kid but do need more of a story than being newlyweds.

"Do you think anyone would mind if Nina stayed?" Willow, only you and your dunce (extended) family hold a grudge against Nina. No one else cares. I don't like Sasha's newly blonde chunks. And no, the writers don't realize these women are adults. They have a very hard time writing age-appropriate dialogue for most characters. How long before we find out Gio's dad is someone we know? Seriously. There's absolutely no point for this crap. Also: Scott and Lucy teaming up again. If it's about stupid Deception, STAHP. I can't take that story a second longer.

Ava had a strange look on her face (at least to me) when Gio was playing; was that intentional by MW, or is it just her listening face?

This is why I hate Joss so much. Infinite privilege with people either bending backward for her or just giving what she wants. If Monica agrees to this, it's on her. I know LC isb't around, but I wonder if Monica would be consulted about any of this regardless. Olivia and Lois seem to have appointed themselves heads of household. You're related to me in the most tenuous way? There's a place on the Q property for you! I'd love LC to come back long enough for a scene where Monica says, "When did I start running a free residence? If you're over 18 and have a job, get out and find another place to live!"

"If I hadn't earned the scholarship, my Uncle Sonny was going to pay my way." Of course he was. *rme* I don't get why the apartment Trina and Joss rent has to be above the Q gatehouse. I know they want to put Gio and Trina in close proximity, but there are other ways to do it that are just as easy. The MetroCourt pool, for instance, where we already know Gio works and Trina goes to regularly. I guess the show is going to ignore Lucky's addiction issues, which is dumb but TFGH. It would help explain some of her rigidness toward Finn. Not that her behavior is wrong, necessarily, but if you didn't know she had a history with an addict, it could feel like it comes out of nowhere. I don't know why Drew was sneering at Nina for wanting a favor, given that he often needs one from him. Their "banter" always feels so forced to me.

Much more Tracy and Stella, please! The actor playing Alexis's second-in-command—DeWitt?—is really overacting. We get it, the guy's slime. It's like with Schmertz, or whatever that twerp reporter's name was. It might help people understand why Laura is digging into Heather's legal issues if she told them she has Heather's POA and feels a responsibility because of that. It gives some context, if nothing else. Heather's sobbing is just as bad as her caterwauling about her sore hip or whatever. Ugh. Write her off once and for all. Sorry, Alley Mills, it's not your fault. Gross (but sadly, typical) that Portia is "kicking herself" for having advocated to remove Heather's hinky hip implant. When things don't help her, she's way too willing to throw her medical ethics out the window. I am legit surprised the writers remembered this. I thought Diane's horrified reaction when Alexis reminded her of it was very appropriate.

The more I think about Sonny giving Kristina a Mickey Mouse doll, the angrier I get. I wish it hadn't been her favorite plush toy, that she'd said to him, "Actually, Dad, this wasn't my favorite toy. That section of the movie gave me nightmares for a month." But we can't have that. Sonny is trying! His voice wobbled! He was near tears! And of course he goes to see Kristina because he's uncomfortable. Forget about giving her the time she needs to process things. Sonny needs her forgiveness NOW. It's always all about that infant.
-
I cringed when I saw the Mickey-as-Sorcerer's-Apprentice doll, because a) it looked so cheap, and b) the blatant Disney product placement was gross. It also cracked me up, because you'd think if Sonny were trying to win Kristina back, the gift would be for her, not for the baby she will (supposedly) hand over to her sister and her domestic partner.
-
Honestly, what has Kristina done that is so terrible? TJ is looking for the tiniest misstep to blame her for, and it's ridiculous. It makes me wonder how he'd treat Molly if she were able to get pregnant. I wonder how restrictive surrogate contracts can be IRL.
-
I liked that Alexis pointed out to Laura that Laura couldn't control the outcome of Heather's case if it does get reopened, and that could mean Heather being set free. But I wish this whole story would be dropped without another word. It's so dumb. I don't understand why they are writing TJ this way. He's awful. If I were Kristina, I'd be tempted to do everything I could to annoy him (without hurting the baby, of course) simply out of spite. Just wait until TJ has to parent his kid. Nothing will go the way he thinks it will. That poor kid. And TJ, the situation is a nightmare because you're a jerk. Chase and BL's wedding was small enough that Kristina should realize Sonny's view of Dex's behavior are completely ridiculous. Talking to guests is hardly swanning around acting superior. Again, why has no one told Sonny to look at his meds? It's so obvious he's going off the deep end.

Sam's pool outfit was very subtle. That whole caper was so embarrassing to watch. The circumstances are very different, but Elizabeth putting aside that Jake wasn't where he should have been reminded me of when Cam got drunk and she said to him the next morning: "Oh, it's baby's first hangover." Hee. The Finn/Chase confrontations were good. I don't think I've seen Michael Easton that animated in a long time. He usually rivals Kelly Monaco in who can be sleepier.

I don't think JJY is considered a former cast member—he's just on medical leave. And we've gotten enough references to Mac while JJY has been gone that I think it's a character who has left the show. Besides, since when has the show really cared about Mac?
-
I feel like if Jason and Elizabeth become a couple now it's because of his guilt at being such a crappy father. That's gross for everyone.
-
I thought RoHo seemed as done with GH as it was with him, but who knows what Frank would promise?
-
Cyrus?
-
They could at least have her say "I went through this with Lucky and I can't do it again." Even that would help.
-
They are annoying, but I don't really mind their bumbling attempts to help. I'm glad they went to Tracy and she told them to prepare themselves to be disappointed. I'm not sure how much that sank in, but Tracy was right to warn them about that. I wish she'd also asked them if they'd spoken to an addiction specialist for pointers on how to approach Finn, because just barreling in and telling him he has to stop for Violet's sake isn't going to cut it. Chase may have seen what addiction can do to families because he's a cop, but it's different when it's your family. And there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution.
-
That's right, Michael, keep putting yourself first with your grudge against Nina. And gross that Willow has to justify why she's okay with Nina seeing the kids. It's too bad Michael won't accuse Willow of having an affair with Drew, which finally wakes her up to what a controlling asshat she's married to and she divorces him. I'm sorry they didn't have him suck the liquor off the keys before he threw them against the wall, but maybe that would be too much.. I get that Elizabeth doesn't want to talk to the boys about why she and Finn broke up, but they're certainly old enough to understand addiction. Oh, FFS. Of course Joss is responsible for Dex becoming a "better" person. NINA DIDN'T SEND DREW TO JAIL. I feel like sending an irate email to the writing staff, Frank, and Nathan Varni about this constant inaccuracy.
-
I didn't realize how much I hadn't missed Wiley until he showed up today. Ugh. His sneeze was adorable, though. I wish CW would dial back Nina's mania when she sees her dolt grandson. Nina comes across as unhinged; is that what CW is aiming for? The only upside is how it would annoy Carly. Chase is spinning out over Finn's drinking. I get Chase's frustration, but it's so not about him. Finn's chat-up skills are hilariously terrible. I didn't quite get it: Is there an important basketball game on Sunday night? /s (It cracked me up how vague they had to be about the teams because of taping lead time.)

It cracks me up how they keep trying to convince us PCU is more prestigious than an Ivy League school. Who cares? LOL. When I reread my post, I realized the antecedent was a bit unclear, but it's true that Maxie is being written better as well. Ha!

I'm so tired of GH trying to make singers happen. I don't care how good their voices are (or aren't). My dad died unexpectedly when he and my mom were on vacation, and it took her five months to even open his suitcase and empty it. It took her a few months more to go through his closet and drawers. Same. IMO she subordinated herself too much to him, despite her occasional attempts to assert herself. I know she's young and he was her first big love, and you have to figure out how to be in a relationship, so I can cut her some slack. I think the writing for Spencer was fault, as he continually downplayed her ambitions, despite his lip service to the contrary. But she was on a break! (LOL, she actually said that.) I like how Maxie talked to Violet (and I agree with @Sake614 that she's much better when they write to her actual age). It was truthful and respectful.

The cover for the program for Gregory's memorial was kind of tacky. But it was a nice, realistic touch to show the guy picking up the medical equipment he used. I liked Tracy's remembrance, but of course you can miss what you don't have. You don't miss what you don't want. They whiffed that and should have left things at "make your own opportunities."

Anna has been so dumbed down that this is entirely possible. And Valentin has been so stupid he probably has the envelope marked "Secret Info: Do Not Read."
