  1. Jason doesn't need to die to be in a circle of hell—he's fixing Carly's mistakes anyway. And it's of his own choosing, so it's fitting he's living it now.
  2. Ugh, James. The poor kid always looks like he's terrified and on the verge of tears, expecting some sort of punishment if he messes up his lines. I wonder if Laura visiting Lulu is to prep for JJ's return and/or we're getting a recast. GF and DZ were great together. It's ridiculous Laura and Dante have so little interaction. Jason, you know Carly LOVED the power Sonny had. She was the one who always crowed she was the only woman who could deal with it, so enough with the "you shouldn't have to pay for the choices Sonny and I made." Not necessarily, but Lesley did a lot of the heavy lifting raising Lulu. And Spencer, for that matter. It's obviously a Port Charles tradition for parents to foist their kids onto their grandparents. I also feel like Trina is rewriting history a bit with Spencer, but then, I've never thought he was as great of a boyfriend as the show told me he was. Also, has she not heard of the five stages of grief? Anger is one of them. The very least Joss can do is let Trina talk to her about Spencer, with the way Joss went on and on about Oscar.
  3. Jason has said as much to Carly.
  4. small favours that they didn't re-pick up on that stupid thread. I tell myself this was SBu's dealbreaker for returning to the show, heh.
  5. This whole Blaze situation is so dumb. You can't tell me there wouldn't be other commercial labels who want to sign her and trumpet their lack of prejudice and bigotry. Why did Kristina feel she had to hide Blaze before talking to Nina? Nina has never had a problem with anyone being gay. She works in fashion, FFS. I loved those scenes. I'm with @jsbt that Mulcahey was thinking of pairing them up. Too bad it won't happen, but I do like Cody and Tracy as friends. JE is a miracle. Carly is practically a family annihilator: If she can't have Jason, no one can.
  6. "My mom doesn't care." LOL. So I guess sloppy service at the pool is acceptable to Carly, huh, Joss? Her work ethic is nonexistent. Say what you will about Sonny and Carly, they do seem to put some effort into their respective jobs. Joss does nothing. So tired of Wagger's threats to Jason. Put Carly in jail or shut up and go away. I'm surprised they didn't throw in a dead/runaway dog. Lois's involvement in Gio's professional life is crossing a line, given Gio never asked for her help. "Any good I have inside of me is because of you." Way to take no responsibility for your actions, Valentin, and put the emotional labor on Anna. Ugh.
  7. They seem determined to keep Valentin around, so I'd rather watch that than yet another weepfest about Anna and Charlotte.
  8. I could almost deal with Valentin sticking around if he wasn't such a drip when it comes to Anna. He's not quite at Michael's "OMG BOOBIES!" level, but he's close. And why Anna is still enraptured by this milquetoast is inexplicable. If they want Anna and Valentin to work, IMO, they need to write Anna and Valentin playing a sick psychosexual game, the way they did Ava and Nik in their glory moments. Otherwise I can't fathom what the attraction is beyond a semidecent fuck.
  9. Pikeman has him gagged and bound somewhere far away from Port Charles.
  10. That baton has been passed to Ava for the time being.
  11. He's an idiot to want to stick around for Joss, but it's pretty cutthroat being a Broadway musician. Many more players than spots. I don't think getting a college degree is the wrong choice. Gio made good points as to why he wanted to stay. Lois was wrong to keep pushing him. He didn't ask her to do any of this. "No" is a complete sentence, lady! He wanted something from Nina, and since they're both mad at Ava, it worked to their advantage to be nice to each other. But regardless, I agree it was good to see her confident.
  12. If the swimmers are more responsible than the lifeguard (a very low bar), yes.
  13. Oh, god, first we had Carly trying to play Wagger, now we have Ava? Spare me weak men in law enforcement. "Yeah, I've been down this road several times," say Sonny when Willow tries to sympathize that he's in family court. The court needs to shut Sonny down when it comes to fighting for custody, because it's purely revenge for him, not for the well-being of the kid. The only issue would be if Jason expected some sort of quid pro quo, which he's said he doesn't.
  14. It looked like a lot of tongue for an "innocent" kiss, Drew. What did Anna think would happen to Charlotte? Where Charlotte physically is doesn't make a difference. Charlotte forgiving Anna for shooting her doesn't change that. This sudden consideration for Charlotte makes no sense, as is often the case with Anna. But I do enjoy that it's sticking it to Jason. That's what happens when you make a dumb deal with the FBI for your dumb best friend. Way to open up the MetroCourt to a lawsuit if some kid drowns because the certified lifeguard was macking on her boyfriend.
  15. Mood stabilizer. Cathy doesn't need her moods enhanced, heh.
  16. BY HIS OWN CHOICE. Sorry, Show, I can't get on the martyr bandwagon for either of these nitwits.
  17. When Alpha came across Mrs. C dusting the TV and asked her if her strike was over, she said something along the lines of, "I can't ignore dust this thick. I'm not an animal." I laughed, but there's no way Mrs. C would say that last bit. It also felt very anachronistic. Still funny, but this show does like to force a modern reference/attitude into a period piece.
  18. Wow, Drew sucks. He'll fire Nina because Michael is a big baby who can't be an adult and work with her in a professional manner? Michael said himself Nina was a good editor. Who would replace her? Carly again? Spare me. Not to mention she has no patience. She'd get people killed right and left because of her inability to let things play out. Wasn't Carly warned off talking to Brennan? Yet another reason she'd be a terrible agent: She never listens to anyone but herself.
  19. Yes; they showed her typing. Obviously she can only use one hand, but if people can hunt and peck at speed, I'm pretty sure she has a decent wpm.
  20. Meanwhile, Anna gives Jason a teary look when he asks her if got the satellite phone. GAH.
  21. To me it sounded like classic perimenopause/menopause symptoms. Doctors back then barely knew about menopause, and perimenopause didn't exist as a known stage. As usual with this show, the theme was beaten away at too hard—seriously, the men at the station can't work a tea kettle, or whatever it was? They can't figure out how to find a file? Geordie doesn't know how a water fountain works to fill his carafe? A woman has to do all of this? But maybe Geordie will realize how much the women in his life do for him and be a bit more gracious and thankful.
  22. I think JJ was touring with his band for a while after Nashville ended.
  23. And Cam isn't stuck propping Joss.
  24. To be clear, I agree with everyone who says it's ridiculous that Elizabeth is written as being financially insecure. She has a solid family network (even excluding Jason) who would help her out if asked.
  25. Elizabeth lost a big chunk of money when she stupidly took Steven Lars's advice to invest in something that tanked. And remember when GV's Lucky got shot and addicted to pills and they had no health insurance? A cop and a nurse? For some reason, Elizabeth is always thisclose to going broke, when as head nurse at GH she should be pulling down a low six-figure salary. That doesn't make her rich—or able to shoulder three college tuitions on her own—but they write her as barely able to keep food on the table. Elizabeth is the financially struggling single mother, for some reason.
