  1. He probably doesn't have to do much figuring. I'm sure Jill has it posted in a public space, just like Michelle.
  2. Apparently Tim is also selling his car for scrap because of something with the transmission. He's in WI for flight school. He shares (or uses) the family Facebook page and they didn't switch the location before putting up the listing for the house. Is it just me or does buying a house via Facebook Marketplace sound super sketch?
  3. ... why even have the big TV if you swear you never watch it? I just don't understand.
  4. Yep, I definitely eat healthier when I've prepped the fruits and veggies. Otherwise I snack on potato chips or something similar and the fruits and veggies die a mushy death in my fridge. Big advocate for pre prepping produce!
  5. By "not technically allergic" do you mean you also just hate raw onions? Because as someone with an actual food allergy, I hate when people say they have an allergy but don't. My good friend does because she also hates raw onions and "they take it more seriously if you tell them you're allergic". Hopefully, but it also marginalizes people with actual allergies and jades those people that have to make accommodations because if everyone is allergic to something then there's the chance they get frustrated and get sloppy. Which would be an inconvenience for my friend but potentially life threatening for me. I actually find barbeque tuna among the least offensive thing Jill makes. I don't think it's instagramable or revolutionary, but it's really no different than adding mayo or any other out of the jar condiment to tuna and while I've not tried it is probably not that awful. I think Starqist even makes their own premade version now.
  6. It's new to me! (The only one I've seen is of a shirtless Jer with ... Mardi Gras beads?, though I can't seem to find that one now.) But Reddit would like a word with you if that's NSFW. 😂
  7. So they're renting? I don't see them being able to afford a $675,000 house, but it almost seems less expensive than $4,000/month in rent.
  8. Why is Grandma helping Sam with laundry? Shouldn't Sam be helping Grandma with laundry? Isn't that what happens to Grandmas in the Duggar family, relegated to retirement in the laundry room? Sam is two and a half and already in charge of laundry? I'd side eye, too.
  9. ... that is a lot of photos crammed into six slides.
  10. I can't tell if the responses to Jana getting on the horse are snark or not (if so then I'm sorry for missing it and being a buzzkill!) but there are little iron footholds that she could use to maneuver herself. You can see it by her foot. It wouldn't be difficult to get into the horse herself, even sidesaddle.
  11. The anonymity of the internet gives bullies confidence. I think there's a distinct difference between judging from afar and actually targeting people. I disagree with a lot that many public personas do but I would never express that in a mean, targeted way to them directly. I do think Lauren enjoys drama and being dramatic, and not just in regards to her miscarriage. But I would never tell her that, especially as an anonymous Instagram commenter, and especially especially in such biting words. It's not my place and really, what does it gain me? People can be cruel, especially online. And just because someone is a public figure and one feels like that have easy access doesn't give one a free pass to be mean. I also hope Lauren doesn't pay attention to the comments.
  12. 11 out of 1600 tracts is a 0.6875% rate. That's slightly more than 1/2 of 1% ... which is basically a failure. Maybe it's a good thing they don't work in corporate America where there are (admittedly stupid and useless) metrics to meet because most people would consider those kinds of numbers a giant waste of time.
  13. I don't know that Jill had that much forethought, honestly. Or knowledge of how birth control works, except for maybe the idea that condoms physically block sperm and without sperm meeting egg there is no baby. You'd be surprised at how many well educated people don't know how contraceptives work other than taking a pill or replacing a patch or ring. They don't really know what happens if you miss a dose or fudge the timing. Derick might, but that would entail knowing how the female body works, which ... I doubt. The best I could see either of them doing is making sure she takes a pill at the same time every day, but Derick is gone enough that I'm not sure he could police that and I'm not sure Jill would remember or agree, at least not outside of "because my headship told me I have to". It's much more likely, imho, that if they're preventing the best they're doing is keeping a lazy eye on the calendar and Jill is acknowledging that. Or maybe all the sex talk is actually because they're NOT having sex, but if they were there could be a baby.
  14. I would watch this in a heartbeat. But only if his partner was Peta (and I didn't particularly like Peta, but she was better with some partners over others) because Peta's go-to for her dances was "sex sells".
  15. Don't stone me, but I actually think it's healthy to keep open communication with your SO, so I can't fault Jeremy for that. I'd want to try and help mine work through any frustrations in any part of his life or or relationship and I'd hope he'd want to do the same for me. I think the assumption that Jeremy just confesses to Jinger about other women he'd like to bang is just that: an assumption. I didn't listen to the podcast (because Jeremy and Audrey Roloff actually make me cringe), but I have to think it's more like @GeeGolly thinks, that it's about any issues he might have (financially, spiritually, professionally, personally, whatever), so that they can figure it out. I think that's respectable and actually relatively good advice, otherwise your marriage is destined to decline and potentially fail. (You don't want to become resentful or spiteful like Jill and Derick!) I also kiiind of agree with Jeremy's assertions that not having social media would be freeing. I know I'm something akin to addicted and wish I didn't have the compulsion to mindlessly scroll through Facebook, Instagram, or Reddit just because I was bored and didn't know what else to do. The only thing I disagree about is that he seems to spend enough time on social media that his actions don't follow his words. At least I own my media addiction.
  16. I must be the only one that thinks the shoes without socks think isn't that weird with the right shoe. Women do it all the time (those low profile footie socks are stupid and never stay on my feet), and men too, if they're wearing docksiders or something similar. Obviously I'm not going sockless in sneakers or gym shoes, but most flats? Yeah, probably. Men going sockless, to me, kinda evokes a east coast yachtie vibe. I'll give him that it's relatively misplaced on a red carpet but I'm not horrified by it.
  17. I had to go find these because I was curious and oh my gosh is that the most awkward newborn shoot. Good newborn shoots make the baby look content and snuggly, but poor Philip just looks upset and uncomfortable. In some shots he looks like he's crying, and most of them just have him face down on something. And the baby sized adult clothes are just silly.
  18. Esther turned 38 in May and according to the FundieSnark wiki the are 24 Keller grandkids, not counting M6 or this new baby.
  19. Wait, the blonde Rod boy is 16 year old Philip? And the darker haired boy is 15 year old Samuel? Philip looks like he's younger than Samuel. And Samuel is a pretty conventionally attractive kid, and especially for a Rod kid. He actually looks like he's not so malnourished.
  20. Homemade peach ice cream sounds really good, tbh.
  21. Oh yeah god, I can't even comprehend that she thinks either of her homebirths were successes or "empowering". I've never given birth and even I know that. Lady, your kids could have died. There nothing empowering about that. And the "primal bonding"? That was animal instinct saying, "holy shit, something is very wrong with my offspring". Are there any sort of statistics about failed home births? Would they differentiate between cases where the infant didn't survive and cases where either mom or baby had to be transferred to the hospital? (I'll admit, I'm a chicken and any potential kids I have will be delivered in a hospital. Especially after seeing the birthing suite my sister had. It was actually quite cozy and private, considering it was a hospital room. It even had an x-box!)
  22. With 65 current immediate family members between the two families (not counting the married in spouses) duplicate birthdays are going to start becoming the norm. I didn't check, but Willow and Felicity can't be the first, can they? Edit: haven't gotten around to comparing the families, but Carlin and Alyssa's daughter Allie Jane share a birthday; April 11th. Edit edit: I was bored so I made a list. There are three shared birthday days between the Duggar and Bates families: July 19 (Felicity Vuolo and Willow Balka), August 2nd (Jennifer Duggar and Callie Bates), and December 30th (Jedidiah and Jeremiah Duggars and Zach Bates). No Duggar family members that aren't twins share a birthday, but several have gotten close. The Bates family members have 4 shared birthdays between them: February 1st (Trace and Jeb), February 17th (Jackson and Addalee), April 11th (Carlin Bates and Allie Jane Webster), and November 9th (Alyssa Webster and Kade Smith). Including spouses and Tyler you get 75 people. If you add in spouses you get 3: March 19th (Warden Bates and Ben Seewald), September 9th (Judson Bates and Brandon Keilen), and December 21st (Jinger Vuolo and John Webster). The least popular birth months: March and June (4 each). The most popular month: December (9). Hmm. Apparently I like lists and data.
  23. She provided a few photos of her with Erin and Michael. That seems like a lot of effort of you were faking, considering there really isn't any pay off.
  24. I feel like being heavily pregnant in the summer, especially in the south, could be pretty miserable. A bikini on the beach, even for a pregnant woman, is no big deal.
