Rewatched with my son who is visiting. When Freya was introduced, he started laughing. Apparently all psychologists are vegan at some point in their lives! His wife is a vegan psychologist and he's met lots.
Tom completely biffed the signature and then didn't take the showstopper challenge seriously and produced not splendid cake. I'd say he was the right choice to go.

I liked the episode, but their explanation of the jewelry theft ring makes no sense at all. Family takes the jewelry before they turn over the body to the funeral home, especially since almost everyone gets cremated these days. And why keep it in funeral urns? Take it away and put it in a safe. With a great big lock.
I'm assuming Amy Ryan did it since there's no reason for her character otherwise. It's the curse of the high salary. But maybe it's Sting after all.

You know you don't actually have to watch the opening bits. It's a great opportunity to gather your beverages and get settled comfortably before the real show starts. I assume that was Matt singing for Paul.
It's back! Baking! I too thought the Indian guy with the pink cylinder was toast, but he pulled through somehow.
I don't think Maggie and Pru look alike at all.
Someday they need to interview the production crew who have to clean up between the bakes. All that stuff dripping off the stool!

If he wanted to change the expression, it would be easy enough to do so, on his own. It's asking the contestants on camera that irks.
I noticed that Xander works hard to always keep one lock of curly hair outside his buff. Does he think he's Joe 2.0?

Pure speculation on my part but I don't think Elora's car will even get out of the state.

Yeah, I turned to my daughter and said: she's acting badly.
It should have been reported when it happened. And someone who wasn't drunk should have made the decision of whether or not he should see a doctor. Like Marten the hot engineer!

I disagree with the article. I think the device reminds us that we are watching a dramatization of what happens between two people, it's just one of the many stories that could be told. I like it.
I was wondering if that whole scene was made without a cut, bravo for the two of them.

DARMA was from Lost. It was some sort of scientific initiative. Go watch to figure it out.
DARPA is the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency which developed the internet, or as us old timers used to call it, the ARPAnet.

But no, you pile on a smoke monster, whatever Jacob was, the hatch, DARPA and all that and tell people it's going to add up, and then you drop some nonsense about 'it's the journey'. That's just disingenuous.
DARMA
DARPA is something else altogether.
I think the reason a lot of people felt cheated by Lost is that during the first season the showrunners made two statements: 1) it's not science fiction and 2) they're not in Purgatory.
And it was, and they were.

$$$$$ it's cheaper.
It's also logistically easier and during COVID I think we have to spot them that.
Besides, focusing on a single group at a time has been their modus operandi all along.

I'm pretty sure that when you resign your job with the police, you have to turn in your badge.
Other than that, not a bad ending. Some people left, some people stayed, just like in real life.

If I recall correctly, he was taken out early in the fight, while trying to help Maggie. Since we haven't seen a corpse or a walker yet, I have to assume he's not gone just yet.
Can we just call that "under the dumpster" ?
Replace Negan's harem with the girlfriend and this is literally Darryl captured by the Saviors. Except this time with a super diminished lighting budget. Do we have to have reduxes in the last season?
Having a well trained dog in the zombie times could be a real advantage. Having a poorly trained dog makes everything worse.

The offside rule is not difficult at all. It comes from the fact that a super easy strategy to win would be to have an attacking player just hang out in the box in front of the goal. Anyone else on the attacking team would just have to pop the ball to that player and they could score. The offsides rule says that there must be at least one defender (other than the goal keeper) between any attacker and the goal.

I loved that the beauty of Sam's haircut was recognized on national TV. Isaac has mad skillz.
Now we know who Rebecca has been bantering with, are we ever going to find out who Ted is talking with? I hope it's someone unexpected like the bar owner.
And I wish you would all stop talking about the Empire Strikes Back, because I get worried that a character is going to lose a limb!

We've decided to watch the recording of Come from Away on Apple TV tonight. It's a musical describing what folks in Gander Newfoundland went through as many many planes were grounded there after 9/11.

And the last line in the film is how Keanu has an incurable condition so he will remain a tiny kitten all his life.
They used about 20 kittens to film the role and the one in the picture isn't even the best looking one.

The whole movie is full of them, but two of my faves from Addams Family Values:
[minus the interjections]
Gomez Addams: "My name is Gomez Addams, and I have seen evil! I have seen horror! I have seen the unholy maggots which feast in the dark recesses of the human soul! I have seen all this, officer, but until today, I had never seen... YOU!"My kids loved this movie and that line always comes out when someone starts wistfully asking "have you seen .... ?"

I also saw Jerry Maguire in prep for my friend’s podcast. Bonnie Hunt’s hair was so shinny and thick and pretty. That’s all I have to say about that one. I am not sure why it was so popular in the 90s.
I've never seen Jerry Maguire, but everything I see Bonnie Hunt in, I have the same reaction about her hair. How does she get to have so much?
I watched News of the World over the weekend. It was OK but not great. The premise of the guy going around reading newspapers to frontier settlers seemed strange and unlikely. I'm also reading a biography of Laura Ingalls Wilder, which occurs about the same time, and those frontier settlers read their own papers. And would never have had 10 cents to pay someone to read to them.

I'd grade the first two series of this as A+ and A-, this wouldn't get more than a C. Poulson is chewing the scenery and they actually have lots of lighting in the West Wing and the Pentagon.

He's also in the Funny or Die short called Juan Dreams of Chicken and Rice, which manages to skewer both Jiro Dreams of Sushi and Chef's Table.

One of the difficulties in portraying the apocalypse over ten years after the end of civilisation has to be finding realistic decaying landscapes. TWD are generally very good at this, there was some money spent on this episode and it did look good visually.
To each their own. To me, the building that Maggie entered looked exactly like the one where Noah died, and she even jumped over the dumpster-of-miraculous-Glenn-protection.

Season 1 Talk: Childhood Games Turn Deadly
in Squid Game
I just started and 2 episodes in appreciate your discretion!
The coveralls and masks remind me of Money Heist.
