  1. I'm among those thinking something turned that vote unanimous, I wonder if maybe we'll get a rewind next episode to show something shifting. Those were certainly two of the more unique speeches ever. Also, side thought, did they make the 'table' in the room into the fake log fire so nobody could exit via the table this year? This is starting to look like a fight of the duos instead of the big alliances. Still I think that Krisync didn't realize quite how being in an alliance works. Granted he was being bludgeoned about putting up Carson. Also Meischa should have told him how she worked to save her and that she was a vote for them, but he didn't seem to to give a damn about 'them' and did what he wanted. Why say you are in an alliance if you're going to just lone wolf it when you get power? It's your team man... just odd. Can we get a fashion penalty nom for Todderick if he continues to wear that shirt with no back to it?
  2. Nice "throw" there Todd. Smooth as silk... The odd one was Cynthia I think it was was down but had the points needed in front of her on the last one and locked in a non-competing score with like 14 seconds on the clock or something. Like she couldn't be bothered... I think by looking at the cake after the first quintuple-dip everyone knew not to venture forth with eating that particular cake from then on... You know who might be good as a target? Carson. Miescha kinda let that one slip.
  3. Yeah, he was totally lost about 'procedures' and made a couple really odd statements about everything going on. "Do we sit back down now?" etc. Agreed. She's a little too 'precious' for my liking. This is what my mom is like when she is in a noisy area due to her hearing aids she frequently gets a key word wrong and then has a totally different idea about what someone said! She thought someone was saying her granddaughters were "really catty" when they were actually "really chatty" for examp. I actually like Misha but she is really reeling trying to keep up with the game and the twists, as to what the smart play should be. She's the classic duck that seems calm while the feet are churning underneath. She would have been much better off not winning HoH. It's too bad because I like odd pairings as her and Todderick seem to be clicking as a strong pair. I loved the look on his face when she was beating the bejeezus out of that pad in the gym room.
  4. Add me to this list as well. I kept waiting for her to say that she was going to nominate a couple of 'floaters'. I checked back on my tivo to see how long that whole hat portion took. I was suprised it was only 8 minutes. It was however a SLOW eight minutes that I'll never get back. As for the 'twist' I guess I'll wait and see what the 'curse' part is before deciding. I was waiting to Julie to say that America's Vote would be if we all wanted to join one of Toddrick's alliances.
  5. I admire Lamar for that intro package, dear lord has he been through it! In the game though I think he's kind of a non-entity which is tough when you are 6'10". I hope his feet don't hang out of the front of his bed I'd think they would have accommodated him with something he'd be more comfortable in. Wow, Kris Kattan. Socially awkward much?? It reminds me of the movie Fargo: "I don't know he was just funny looking." He id have the line of the night though suggesting they were waiting for Carson to change his memory wall photo. I don't know the 'housewives' but they seem okay. Carson was the ideal social lubricator as greeter etc. I like him but 24/7 Carson could be a bit much. Also, he is anything but 'under the radar'! I like Mischa Tate, have watched her quite a bit. You take 5 years off and jump back into cage fighting you have to hold a high percentage of bad ass. Does she have a social game though? I would have instantly yelled 'Whatchu talkin' 'bout Willis??' when I saw Todd at the door! Maybe they didn't want to get off on the wrong foot? I'm guessing he was tired of that when they were still filming Different Strokes though. Not a bad start though, and as I too am snowed in so this will do for me. I always wondered this as near everything 'reality' with "celebrities" you are playing for a charity. However BB doesn't seem to be on that list. They get money and they take it home all for themselves. I still find it odd.
  6. She also said that person wouldn't compete or get immunity for taking on the roll. I think that's why most balked at the suggestion.
  7. I was just a little upset that they only had one big ball to balance. I love when Probst would sing out "And now John's balls are starting to separate!" and "Tim desperately needs to get his balls under control." Etc. I feel robbed.
  8. I think it may go back to his childhood when he used to do a lot of outdoor winter sports and worked for that old druggist... I literally wanted to hear them call 'CUT!' and come out and squeegee off Erica's face during that challenge, she is an all-pro in the area of sweating. Then there is Xander's face, that Liana hates, with it's scruffs that have had sweat and sand rubbed into them to a point where he'll probably have the markings for life.... so, yeah, they really are a bedraggled looking bunch.
  9. I'm with you there. I only stopped in because that damn extra vote was bugging me and this is where I come for answers.
  10. That's not how ANY of this works!! 😉 You could tell it was the extra vote too because it was folded in squares not flat... but why vote for BOTH targets? It's just making everything too complicated; which is what seems to be Shan's superpower. That double vote is almost as smart as having a thing with someone because you literally don't like their face. I took a few weeks off because this season just isn't connecting for me. I've seen every episode from the get-go but this season... which I was happy to see returning just is a repeated let-down. I just came on to see if anyone figured out Shan's voting. I can't quite put my finger on why but I've just been totally apathetic about it being on again. Like Shan, it could be it's making everything wayyy too complicated... like Tyler Perry has been brought in as co-producer with Probst or something.
  11. This was inserted into the crazy game of telephone that Tiff was playing partly with herself. She just started mumbling 'purple butterflies' at one point and everyone else took it up. The phrase given clearly had no color indicated (and was it moths as well?). I though he kind of remarkably played it off with the "I'm already going crazy and thinking... " approach but next week that won't work. I think it's interesting that we could have a person(s) not allowed a vote for a whole season while waiting for someone to talk about broccoli at a challenge and it never happening. I can't help but think of Dee Snider (of Twisted Sister) when I see Brad. I then wonder why he isn't wearing his makeup.
  12. I guess they immediately took 'C'mon in, bitches!" off the table?
  13. Well, they always had a very toned-down crowd filled with well-mannered (coached) people that even applauded the worst contestants.
  14. She hadn't put her mic back on. Well, I checked in once to see how late they were running and then went back to watching other teevee. Then it was a quick 6-8 minutes that didn't get ff'd. I don't care what Big D-lusional had to say about 'owning the house' or Azah did about how she floated through. Quick and (fairly) painless. See ya on X wins again night.
  15. I'd guess someone got in his ear to 'step up' before the next challenge and say he didn't like the 'guys' thing so they could continue to go ahead with it. I still don't like the 'well one person said it bothered him' overthrow of the phrasing. Taking that feedback in favor of some who specifically said that it didn't and everyone else declined to say anything agreeing it wasn't a big deal. But hey, you get ONE vote against and boom it's done. So yeah I feel it was already a change they were going to make either way, for appearances.
  16. So this happened huh? I truly despise these "And remember when this happened?? *show clip*" shows drive me batty so I'm kinda happy to have not known it was on. Not surprised to hear that there was more irrationality by Ky though. I also don't care enough about these people enough to revel in their triumphs and foibles.
  17. This season would then be famous (for the CO) and infamous for the worst final two evar. It would be hella funny. The only person I felt didn't deserve to benefit from the work of the 6 was Kyland though. He's always been odd and shady. Not sure if people things like him trying to get himself taken off the block when it was 'his turn' for example. Then of course he proved himself to be a real ass at the end. So I guess I'll still root for X to win. Surprisingly, even Tiff DID 'keep it classy' and explained herself and the CO's mission quite well. It was Ky whose actions luckily don't dullen the shine of the CO's season. It just showed he was an ass the whole time.
  18. My money is on 'This is just how Ky acts...' but it could also have been a hail mary as I do believe they'd have booted X had he hit him.
  19. Wow, way to keep it klassy Kyland. I was waiting for security guards to come in and separate him and X. I couldn't stand to watch Kyland talk in circles any more so I skipped his interview. And I totally agree Melina22; Never have we seen anyone make an argument for them staying after they should have left. You have ONE MINUTE Ky!! Get to steppin'!! I can't believe he took such a cheap shot at the end with X. Uncalled for. Hey Ky, I'm surprised that you didn't sniff out that you were going home!
  20. And somewhere Victoria is watching saying "Damn look at those two floaters!!"
  21. Good point. The one player mentioned when they had the tribes first on their mats about how good it was to not have to wear a mask anymore. So there was definitely a sense of relief to being out of quarantine etc.
  22. Oh, he LOVES when this happens and he definitely encourages it. He has since the first time it happened and he let it go/encouraged it happening. Now it's the norm and I scream "sit yo asses DOWN" at my tv. I especially hate the grouping up and walking from one side to the other then walking back. That "Well they think THIS... what do we think? Okay tell them we're okay with that." kind of thing really irks me. This in NOT what tribal is for. You're doing it ALL WRONG!!
  23. So, we got to see our first "Viva diversity!" casting and I appreciated it. It was interesting to find single and married non-hetero people in the cast. The one that kinda blew my mind and made me go "Wait... whaaaa???" was when Ricard said he was leaving his husband, a "transgender pregnant man" alone. And that works how exactly?
  24. Also mortifying to, as X mentioned, people that he's made food for. I was repulsed by his ummm 'interactions' with the tortillas. It freaked me out that he then used ONE of them and put the rest BACK in the package for others to come upon, unbeknownst. *shudder*
  25. My amazing contribution will be that I was hoping for Probst's hat to blow off so we could see if he indeed had a mullet going, because it looked a LOT like a 'party in the back' going on there. I always feel that regular threads after Live Chat threads are made a bit irrelevant as we can't know what has already been mentioned/discussed (as I won't read a live thread w/o being in it...) so I'll post more next week. I did like it though and I was happy to have the show back. It made me want to see what happens next week so that's good. I think we've probably all had varying percentages of Survivor Burn-Out after 40 seasons so maybe the break will revitalize things a bit.
