  1. Shawn really needs a vasectomy. Dude is up to eight that we know of. It's not like he's an actual good present parent or anything.
  2. Oh yes, more Love During Lockup, with the crazy lady with the vision boards and multiple inmate boyfriends!
  3. It's nice of the show to build in time for me to refill my wine and get more snacks.
  4. I was thinking former stripper who didn't age well and is in denial.
  5. Oh god, Kevin and Tiffany are seeking a sister wife. I'm sure they'll manage to find someone crazier than his ex from last season.
  6. I'm way too excited for this. Have prison wine and ready to party.
  7. I had completely forgotten about Kayla J. That's just how uninteresting I found her. Madisen's parents got her out of the nest at just the right time. They dodged a bullet. And I wonder if they saw it coming that their daughter is a little flaky and irresponsible and likely to get herself into another difficult situation with her not boyfriend. I do hope she gets some form of help as she does seem mildly depressed at times and having another baby when they don't really have the money won't help that.
  8. Poor Little Nick. That kid doesn't stand a chance at a normal childhood. Deran and J "developing talent" with Deran's employee sort of reminded me of early J. It could be an interesting angle, but it seems late in the final season to introduce a new person for the Codys to do business with. Still hate that cop, but I suspect this isn't going to end well for at least Pope and possible all the Codys.
  9. Kayla and Luke have made many mistakes both separately and as a couple during the course of their relationship. But by far the greatest mistake they ever made was involving Luke's Mother and Sister in any of their relationship issues. Those two are completely unstable. I'm not convinced Kayla and Luke as a couple will stand the test of time, but even if it doesn't last Luke's Mom has gone ahead and destroyed her relationship with her son. Kayla will always be his kid's Mom. If he is a somewhat decent guy he will still maintain a good relationship with her even after they break up. Mom is very likely the one who will be cut out of his life. That doesn't mean I missed Miss Kayla egging Noopie on when she was trying to get past security and to Kayla's car. Kayla enjoys shit stirring. I think we saw that a few seasons ago when she had lunch with Isaiah's grandmother. She may not always start trouble but she enjoys stirring up the ish. Rachel doesn't have a license because she doesn't actually want to move on. Every time the opportunity to get her damn license and move on arises she squashes it. Not having a license is another reason to still be mad at her Mother for her drug issues. Rachel isn't ready to get some help and begin to heal. Her storylines so far this season strikes me as sad.
  10. Is Nick in the center of a polyamorous family, or a multi level marketing scheme for wives? The way he initially pitched to Danielle on one day marrying one of his wives sounded like she'd be expected to "bring one in" as well. I hope I heard that wrong.
  11. Little Nick is screwed. What are the odds that both of his parents live until he is eighteen, or are both free until he is eighteen? It's great that Craig got him back but this is not that kid's last scary moment. Did Christina Ochoa lose weight for a role? Is that what is making her look different? I really can't stand the shady cold case cop. It feels like she is playing a little too fast and loose. Not a fan of cops committing crimes in the name of solving crimes on tv shows (breaking and entering). Waiting to see how this plays out now that Pope knows something is up. J's married girlfriend is going to be his and maybe his uncle's (since he's laundering their money) downfall. Between the husband and the junkie sister someone is going to get confirmation of what J is up to and seek revenge or bribes.
  12. Sneak peak of new season.
  13. This season is actually making me miss the bygone days of the Windsors. They were a nice contrast to the other "polygamists" in that they actually believed in the lifestyle and cared about the family aspect of it more than just a passing reference or two to their kids. I imagine though that actual polygamists may not want to be on this crapfest. The ladies could all be on birth control. Although, they really should all get tested before adding a new partner. I imagine them all getting an std from the new girl would make their lifestyle considerably less fun. I am regretful that I can't do that live chat for this one. You guys are very entertaining.
  14. I am surprisingly not as annoyed by Brianna this season as I have been in the past. It looks like she may have grown up a little. I'm guessing working full time and living alone without live-in childcare will do that. Wanting to spend more time with her kid is reasonable and she managed to say it without turning it into a fight. I have never been a Kayla fan. The beef with Luke's family is both of their faults because they should have kept their private lives private. Why did Noopie need to know Luke cheated on her and visa versa in the first place? You two brought them into your relationship and you two are now going to have to extract them. Rachel is a strange combination of sad and annoying. She prefers to look at herself with blurred vision is one of the sadder moments on this show. I won't even insert a makeup joke here. Watching her with Noah is just sad. She's trying in her own way to make the perfect family. Not because she loves Noah and is trying make things work, but because she has a picture in her head of what a family is and she trying to shoehorn Noah into it. Meanwhile when it comes to her own issues she can't be bothered. She clearly doesn't actually want a license and the independence it would bring her. I respect Madisen's stepmother trying to steer her towards independence. Her father in his own way also acknowledged that her relationship is doomed. Madisen seems lonely and lost. She moved to stay close to her father, but she's being kicked out. Her friends aren't nearby anymore. She seems like she needs people other than her father and stepmother to be around. People her own age.
  15. It's too bad we got all those seasons of young Smurf flashbacks. Had they started the flashbacks a few seasons ago in '92 we could have seen Catherine/Pope/Baz and possibly Lucy (I think she said in an earlier season that she loved Baz since she was a teenager). They could possibly gone up until Julia has J. As it stands I'm not sure how much more backstory they have time for. We are already almost halfway through the season.
  16. Craig's father is Jake. We have seen him in both present day and in flashbacks. He was part of the crew Young Smurf worked with. Older Jake was also shown a few times on the show as well. I think the last time may have been the episode the boys have a memorial for Smurf at the house.
  17. Jay makes bad choices with women. Nicki wasn't a bad person, but she was immature and not well suited for the Cody's lifestyle. He trusted the hitwoman girl working for Pete and she caused him real trouble. Now he'd rather have a married woman, with all the drama that will bring, than date the attractive lawyer who actually knows who he is and will probably keep her mouth shut. Bad choice. I don't know what they are doing with Deran and Craig. It seems like Craig's friend will cause him trouble, but they are really dragging out how/why that will happen. We've seen Deran menace an influencer and beat up a guy at that restaurant with no consequences. Once again they are either dragging out what happens or they are just randomly writing things for the boys to fill time. The only thing that makes sense is Pope. He is going to get arrested. The question is will the attention to Pope also help bring down the other Codys.
  18. The only reason I got into this show is that the girls really aren't mtv celebs. They don't have the bloated paychecks, nice homes and what not of the OG and TM2 crowd. If they are going to start sending them on fancy vacations so they can whine about life being hard, I'm not going to get through this season. So Madisen is back, and not a word about why she was unceremoniously dropped mid season, last season. So she took her boyfriend back and is now frustrated that he's the same as she left him. She is young, so I accept that this is a lesson she may have had to learn by experience. However, if this becomes a theme in her storyline where she forgets her boyfriend is a lazy coparent and makes up with him, only to be disappointed by the next episode, it will get old.
  19. Life after Lockup returns on 7/29. The episodes will be 90 minutes this season. https://www.amcnetworks.com/press-releases/new-season-of-life-after-lockup-premieres-friday-july-29-at-9pm-et-8pm-ct-on-we-tv/ And if you are wondering who is on the show.... As always, I look forward to the live chats.
  20. I get a bad feeling about all of the Codys this season, maybe minus J. Pope is clearly going to get charged with Catherine's death. Deran is probably going get an assault charge for beating that guy up and possibly the influencer thing will come back to haunt him. I don't know what will happen to Craig, but I have a bad feeling about his new friends. It wouldn't surprise me if his new pal is some sort of informant. Young Smurf continues to be the worst. Neither Pope nor Julia can have anything for themselves, everything has to be about Smurf and her "business". I'm hoping they flash forward at some point so we can see the final rift between Julia and the family.
  21. So last week Deran got the locals to flee that influencer's house without doing much. Simply because he's a Cody. This week Pope, by far the scarier Cody, can't keep the skaters off his ramp. Okay. Sure. We all knew Smurf was a terrible mother. So of course she can't let Julia go to school or get a job. She has to make sure Julia stays under her control and working in the family business. I feel terrible for Young Pope.
  22. If Pope wanted to skate he could have built a skate park. Seriously, one ramp? It was nice to see him happy though. I don't think we see him actually enjoying himself very often.
  23. I actually liked the first flashback with Pope, Baz and Julia. I think that might be a first for me. In general I've thought they slowed the show down and took too much time away from the present day storylines. But if this season we get more details on young Julia/Pope/Baz it could be interesting. It seems like they are too young for us to see Smurf be finally done with Julia, or J's birth, but hopefully we'll see clues as to what happened. Why is Craig banned from alone time with Nick? Last season Renn seemed like not the best parent either. She was selling dope out of the house she was living in with a baby. Why is she now getting the concerned parent edit? Deran will regret going to that influencer's home. I doubt Deran wants someone making him a thing on social media.
  24. So all of that backstage aggression and declaring he wanted to make a closing statement, and he didn't have an actual statement lined up. He let his family puff him up backstage, but in the end Jason's got nothing worth saying. Sounds about right. Sometimes I do like Emersyn's Mom. I did appreciate her hugging Kylen. We all know the girl is being isolated from her family. That is probably the only motherly hug she is getting unless or until she works up the courage to leave. I also have no problem with her Mom having a rule in her house, like none. But she ruins any good will I have towards her when she opens her mouth about Mason and his family. I just can't. How is this woman about my age? She really hasn't learned that not everything you know, or think you know, needs to be said out loud. Her mentioning what her daughter told them in confidence or national television was a new low for her. All to prove her point about Mason's parents. I really hope for Emersyn's sake that Ernie's house is safe. Because if she has a legitimate concern and needs to get out, she won't call her Mom, because her Mom can't be trusted. I give Mason credit for being capable of issuing an actual apology and being cognizant of the fact that it's good for Mateo to be able to get along with his Grandmother.
