  1. I agree about the Maggie Sottero dress. It's one of the few that I've seen during my years of watching this show that's caused me to say, "I'd buy that." It was much more flattering on her than the Randy dress that she chose. I do find it ironic, though, that while we were seeing her in a beautiful satin dress Randy was telling 3B grandma that there weren't many satin gowns in the store (and I understand he was trying to advocate for the bride . . . just a bad editing choice.) Maybe if the overskirt had been the same fabric as the dress it would have been more attractive. I'm glad the bride was happy, but it left me wondering why anyone would want to add an overskirt like that to a gown with the lines she was specific about wanting.
  2. It gave saintly, ailing Willow the opportunity to appear selfless.
  3. Don't forget that there's a possible poor Curtis -- he agreed to work with a gangster but never imagined it would come back and bite him in the butt story.
  4. We saw some of this in earlier seasons of BD. They'd get the deck crew to help serve, and they did choreograph the placement of plates and the removal of covers. Interesting that those little niceties seem to have gone by the wayside as the quality of the guest has declined . . .
  5. From the Yahoo review of the episode: 🤣
  6. Willow today passed bitch for me and moved into the C U Next Tuesday realm -- which, unbowdlerized, is a term that I generally hate. But she has become truly vile. In other news, if Drew wants brownies, he'd better put on some clothes and get his ass back to the kitchen. Nobody wants brownie crumbs on those white sheets.
  7. We got to see a number of different dresses, which was good. But less good was Montana bride who was clearly auditioning for something. A little bit of her went a long way for me.
  8. From Wikipedia: "Edible gold is a particular type of gold authorized by the European Union and the United States as a food additive, under the code E 175. It is used in the haute cuisine in a gastronomical trend towards extravagant meals. It can be employed in foods and beverages such as in cookies decoration, wines or liquors; as sushi garnishment; or over ice cream. There are neither negative effects nor benefits from eating high-carat, food-grade gold since it is biologically inert, and it is usually suitable for use in food since it does not oxidize or corrode in moist air, unlike many other metals." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edible_gold
  9. She was never on BD. I imagine a great many of us have probably thought that Captain Lee returning to BD was his swan song. He's a fan favorite, and I'm sure the producers saw the value in having him complete the season. She may have said what many people thought, but there's a difference between thinking it and saying it, out loud, to someone who you know will let the universe know you said it. Not a classy move at all. And, related to nothing, she has an incredibly annoying accent.
  10. Although I'm sure it's a production-inspired fluff piece . . . For what it's worth: https://www.vulture.com/article/below-deck-captain-sandy-yawn-departure-interview.html
  11. My prediction: By the end of the next episode: Ben: "Camille who?"
  12. Well, that, and also he wouldn't kill Nina. And Dex as AJ's son would be good soap.
  13. Well, no one seemed to notice that she bore an amazing resemblance to the woman who was the face of an ad campaign for a major brand, or the woman who was arrested for smashing the windshield of a reporter's car, or the woman who had an emotional meltdown on tv . . . so . . . sure . . . she had to be a lawyer. Either that, or the PCPD's daily Berate a Prisoner hours have been moved from the cells to the interrogation rooms for the comfort of the visitors.
  14. The first time we saw Esme holding the baby, there was just a flash of a look on her face that I'd call devious. I would not be surprised to learn that childbirth restored her memory. Her comment to Spencer about doing anything for his little brother could create some interesting complications.
  15. In the past, we've seen the Captain tell the fired crew member, "You have an hour to pack your things and leave the boat." That seems to be the professional way to do it
  16. Since Jordan's the police commissioner, I'd give it a try . . . 😉
  17. I found an interview with the woman who refused to share a bed. In it, she says the producers promised her her own room. OK. But what I thought was more interesting was what some of us have always suspected. She said she didn't know any of the other people until they met for their "vacation." I can understand not wanting to share a bed with a stranger. But I think a better person would have volunteered to take the sofa instead of kicking the roommate out. So maybe this episode's couch sleeper was being a slightly better person. I think there are a number of us who have learned the hard way that "sleeps four", for example, very often means two double beds.
  18. IIRC that guest said she thought she'd be sharing a room, not a bed, so she took the sofa in the lounge until Capt. Lee gave her his room. I think the woman on this charter probably felt the same way. I think Captain Sandy had already gone to bed when this season's situation occurred. It'll be interesting to see if she does anything about it on night #2. I haven't shared a bed since I was in my 20s on spring vacation and 4 of us would sleep in one room. Now, on any trip where I even suspect I might have to share a room, I'll offer to pay a single supplement right away.
  19. I suspect it might be that she didn't want to share a bed with someone else, but rather than say that, she said she couldn't sleep below. How much real time passed between last week's warning to Alissa and this week's firing? (I believe she should have been fired, but I still think the "Sandy . . . Captain Sandy" response was an attempt to show the respect she'd just been chewed out about.) It looked to me like Sandy Captain Sandy was still pissed off, so she decided to fire her, then called Rachel up for validation. Bravo really is having to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find guests for the show, aren't they? I wonder how much the bill will be for the gold Rachel will have to put on the steak?
  20. I think this version of The Hook is Heather. She'd want to get rid of Ava. If she kills Franco, er, Austin, er Todd while trying to get to her, it's fine with me.
  21. I think the "team building" was producer-driven, since no other group of workers has ever done it. I recently read an interview with Eddie, who's been outspoken about how little the BD crews are paid compared to other "Bravolebrities"* and therefore knows he won't be coming back to the show. He said that people working on actual yachts do not go out eating and drinking together or spend a day off at a resort together. In fact, he, and other people who work in the industry say if they have time off, they usually try to catch up on their sleep. * Who the heck knew (besides, maybe, Andy Warhol) that there would be a TV channel devoted to turning disgusting people into idiots that other people looked up to and wanted to emulate?
  22. After Auntie Stella NOT saying, "It's none of your business," but talking cryptically about a secret that Curtis and Trina needed to know, I would have left thinking my mother had some terrible disease -- you know, the kind of thing that I'd want to ask her about in private. But this way, I guess a petulant Trina will bring the "drama."
  23. I think we're on the same page (although I thought Terry was going to be a bridesmaid, too). Portia looked lovely in her gown. And, as someone who has spent quite a few years watching Say Yes to the Dress and critiquing the gowns and the people who wear them, I'll say that Brook Kerr has the figure to wear that dress. She looked lovely.
  24. I didn't follow or even pay much attention to the Spice Girls, and I could probably come up with at least 3 of their names, especially if I'd been talking about someone who could list all of the names. Anyone even at least marginally aware of pop culture would know something about them. Writers, this is the litmus test you're having these ace detectives use?
  25. I think Production chooses the activities, but I also think Sandy was going to find fault with Fraser, no matter what. And good leaders don't build a team by telling all the underlings to do the activity while they stand, observe, and don't participate.
