  1. Don't feel bad yet 😉: there's still offscreen Jax and probably a couple other offscreen people we've never heard of who could give her the money. Maybe Joss can start a Go Fund Me page for her!
  2. He could offer braised beef cheeks, roasted beef cheeks, stewed beef cheeks, grilled beef cheeks, barbecued beef cheeks, stir-fried beef cheeks, smoked beef cheeks . . .
  3. It's another case of the writers steering story lines away from conflicts. If Carly had tried to turn newDrew into Jason 2.0 and he resisted, it'd be a good story -- his frustration with her lack of boundaries, lack of forethought, lack of concern for anything but her immediate needs . . . but, I know: she must always win.
  4. In the fan fiction I immediately wrote in my head, the first few days he's in prison, Carly visits him every day. Then Jason reappears, having gone immediately to what he thought was Sonny's house, where he finds only Carly before collapsing from exhaustion after his arduous journey. Carly immediately goes to see Drew and tells him that the real Jason is back so she won't be dropping by any more. Jason decides that since everyone thinks he's dead, he can start a new life somewhere else and leaves. No one believes Carly when she insists Jason is alive so they start avoiding her and ultimately Michael and Joss institutionalize her. Drew gets transferred to prison in another state. The end. However, the promos for tomorrow suggest that Carly might confess, so their self-imagined star-crossed love will probably continue -- at least until the August sweeps.
  5. It would also be more interesting if we saw Molly go bananas. Her comment yesterday about not allowing the surrogate to watch violent movies certainly got my attention. (If I were considering being a surrogate and heard some of her expectations, there'd be a me-sized hole in the door as I rapidly noped my way out.) I think it would be fair to say that Molly is already slightly high-strung. A good storyline would pick up on those control issues. And it WOULD NOT end in a miracle pregnancy because there are already too many babies on the show (and I'm not even counting Michael.)
  6. It looks smaller because her lips are so puffed up. (Why do people think that's attractive?) If memory serves, that's more or less what happened when she tried to have someone shot.
  7. I appreciated the overhead shots of Glen backing the boat into the slip. It gave him a chance to showcase some of the skills that the captain of a boat that size needs to have. For the same reason, I thought the anchor dragging problem was interesting, too. If Glen, Colin, and Gary hadn't known what they were doing, the results would have been much different, and for that reason, I don't think the near-miss was staged. No one would risk the potential expense of a collision just for good television. It did provide an interesting contrast to the interior crew. Daisy's really off her game this season. Maybe she should realize she can't have a boatmance and do her job effectively. Chase is clueless.
  8. I enjoyed that interaction, too. I'm hoping this will convince Portia that she should kick him out of the house and start divorce proceedings. Let Trina turn on him, too, for hurting her mother. * * * And what exactly was RoHo going for in the conversation with Laura today? Humor? Panic? Whatever it was, it was a big fail for me. Once again, I have to wonder why he's considered a great actor.
  9. This article came out a few days ago, but I thought it was interesting which two jerks actors came out early about not supporting the striking writers. https://startefacts.com/news/good-news-general-hospital-is-safe-from-strikes-for-now_a131
  10. Probably not so much as a favor as knowing that anyone desperate to get into a game would eventually owe her money -- thus providing her a way to get information on Sonny's organization.
  11. He probably should have at least suspected something might have happened between them, since he's even on camera in the past talking and wondering about their relationship. I'm not sure whether he's more upset that Daisy didn't mention it before or if his best bud Gary didn't tell him, not because of his promise to Daisy, but because they're bros. * Seriously, these people are all in their 30s. They've all got people in their past. Get over it. Yes, they're all living in close quarters, which makes it a little awkward, but I'm pretty sure a lot of viewers have been involved with two people from the same workplace over the course of their lives and have managed to navigate it (pun intended) successfully. *What would have been a better time for Daisy to tell him? Out of the blue before they even kissed? When they were in bed cuddling the first time? It was pretty much a no win situation for her. All that said, Gary was definitely out of line at the beach club. He should have received the message that Daisy clearly gave him at dinner the night before. Although Daisy should have cut off his misbehavior sooner, I'm willing to believe that she was trying to be polite and laugh off some of his antics rather than cause a bigger scene.
  12. My main takeaways from today: - Joss, just shut up. - CamMat is really a one trick pony. Let him stay on the Hallmark Channel. - Tracy for the win . . . in so many ways. - At least now we know why Wardrobe had Ned in that awful jacket.
  13. That's probably why she wants the birds to sing along with her harmonica playing. If anyone has the right to feel a bit like Cinderella, it's Scout.
  14. I just figured they meant "schools". Even in an individual school system some schools are better than others, so I figured, with 3 kids, Maxie would want to make sure they were going to "good" schools. But your question now has me wondering if this will tie in with Gladys somehow -- like Maxie will discover that the money she thought she had because of Deception will be gone.
  15. He's already wearing the black t-shirt.
  16. On one hand, I'm really hoping that we're not going to get some twisted "Gift of the Magi" story where Carly and Drew both turn themselves in to save the other because that was what the anvils falling around around me seemed to be telegraphing today. On the other hand, if it results in both of those idiots going to jail. I'm all for it. Every time they talk as if they're innocent and being persecuted, I get angrier. We now know that Nina's secret is out, so it'd be nice if some actual wrongdoers got punished, too.
  17. I had been wondering the same thing, so I did some researching. I didn't get a direct answer to my question, though. However, I learned quite a bit about bone marrow transfer. (Not that I'm saying the writers looked up any facts before writing any Suffering Willow scenes). It's totally possible that pain medications aren't given because of the need to monitor exactly what's happening to the patient. The actual transplant of the bone marrow is more like the middle of the process. An actual patient would be in the hospital for several weeks while the doctors wait to see if the procedure worked and make sure none of the possible complications, including organ damage occur. With the strike, we may inadvertently end up with Willow in the hospital for an appropriate amount of time. Otherwise, I'd be asking for the over-under on her going home to a totally normal life within the week.
  18. Thanks for the clarification: I remembered all the names from the pre-Casey era, but not one bit of the plots! I guess the ridiculousness of the alien story made me forget everything that came before.
  19. Since we never got the name of who was outside, until I see otherwise, I'm choosing to believe that the nurse was talking about Nina. But in what hospital do the visitors make sure the people in isolation get their meds?
  20. IIRC, Spoon Island was introduced during the Casey the Alien story. I always had the impression that the house was deserted at that time. But during the same story, Faison bought it.
  21. I agree. If nothing else, all the shots of the toilet backups suggested that they were a little desperate for footage and had to fill an hour. Additionally, I'm about the age of the women on the last cruise, and am still in touch with several of my college roommates. I can guarantee that if we were on a super yacht we'd be very happy lazing about, drinking, chatting, and snacking; none of us would want to go to a beach to play cornhole.
  22. Michael: I don't see it that way. Me: That's why you're a SLS. Not only did you think through all the possibilities of your actions, you won't accept them when someone points them out to you.
  23. Interesting that no one used a guest cabin . . .
  24. Vernee Watson must have needed to hit her minimums because I don't think I heard anything new in that talk. It would have been much more soapy if there had been a hard truth related to his parentage. But that would have requires some complexity, something GH plots seldom have.
