Like the commenters above I'm not as interested in this show as I was when it was more down-to-earth. I'm following the current Ridgewood NJ episode a bit more because it's in my area of the country. I do a bit of a double take every time they mention that the parents' quarters will be on the top floor. In the introductory episode the mother said something about them using the living room if they become unable to go upstairs. With all the work they are doing on the house I wonder if they thought of putting in an elevator.

She means husband, wife and God.

A) Would you consider the thread title bad if he was being mocked for being a religiously inclined goalie of another belief than Christianity? B) Do you think that title would even have been under consideration if he was of a religion other than Christian?

I am guessing obviously. It was normal at lunchtime and red later in the day. Apparently it was yellow in between. Maybe it started a review of the survey answers. The comment (and I think there were a few replies) was about a domestic violence/legal situation. Doubt it would be considered minor by the persons involved.

"If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here.." The red light was put on the day someone decided that the domestic situation of a family that did not meet this criteria was appropriate to be added to the other families thread. Comment was made in the morning and the shutdown was that afternoon.

All their dresses are making me nervous.

How many times a poster can react to another poster's comments, not to one comment.

My last contact with management was when I filled out the survey during the shutdown. My comments concerned 1) the use of "punchable" 2) that there should be a limit/quota on how many times a person can react to another person's comment like another site I know of has 3) the behavior of another poster. If someone complained yesterday it was probably the family that found its domestic issues being discussed on a TV forum.

When I was in college in an elective class (that was drama?, film?, theater? I don't remember) the professor talked about how celebrity/celebrity marriages have a poor success rate because both parties have egos that require a lot of attention and acclaim. Jeremy was a professional athlete and certainly hoped to be a star when he was growing up. Their need for attention may have nothing to do with their religion.

Calling people "punchable" or saying that they have "punchable" faces is rude and possibly harmful. That has been done numerous times. Wishing infertility on a young couple (Justin and Claire) is cruel. That has been done more than once.

He and his brothers own the company.

Since John is now one of the owners (with his brothers) of the company his taking a more administrative role would seem to be the natural course of action. Doing it at home though does seem like a bad idea.

I believe there was a rule about that posted all along.
