  1. Well this is a tricky one. I wrote a long post, but erased it because I prefer to err on the side of caution and I don't know if I was being innapropiate. I will just say that I am not fully buying what all four of them are selling, and leave it at that.
  2. OMG, yes. Like the interviewer said "so you are going on the record as Josh's victims. Does it feel strange to use that word?" and Jill just started with how they didn't choose to come out, but saw the headlines and decided themselves to do the interview, etc etc... when that was not what the interviewer asked at all.
  3. this thread is going really fast, so I don't know if this was posted. But here is a new excerpt from Jessa and Jill's interview, besides the one shown at the end of the first interview. Jessa basically defends Josh, straight up. http://insider.foxnews.com/2015/06/04/megyn-kelly-interviews-duggar-sisters-jessa-and-jill-molestation-scandal It's toward the end of the page. So, I guess there is not doubt what that interview is gonna be like.
  4. I think it's kind of ironic how they keep talking about the released records as if rather than a police report it was the records from something else. I think in their quest to point the finger to others they are inadvertently confirming that there were court proceedings or something, and there is more to this than we know.
  5. Well, i think I saw an edited interview because it was 34 minutes, but hell no I ain't gonna go watch the full one. My impression is... creeped out. Very creeped out. Very creeped out by the creepy things that were lurking under the surface. By Michelle and JB's obsession with protect Josh, but not even being able to show remorse for not protecting their daughters. It was like the actions were taken to stop Josh from becoming a pervert, not to protect the daughters, who in their minds weren't even that affected because they didn't know what happened. Creeped out by Michelle's robotic.... everything. Like she couldn't get real emotions out, or real tears out or even her real voice out. Creeped out by the reminder of how man-centric their culture is by JB basically doing all the taking. Creeped out by the idea of sisters and brothers basically not allowed to play freely or spend any time alone together because of fear of incest. ick! Creeped out by the image of Michelle and JB watching Josh like hawks fearing that he would do the same thing again. Ick! Just creeped out. So creepy, y'all! And LMAO at the lesbian agenda comment from Michelle.
  6. The preview of Jess and Jill shows them, imo, sooo coached, repeating the thing about the police report. But poor Jill. That's the first time she has looked to me like a real person and not like someone acting out scenes from Little House in the Prarie. I don't know if I'll watch that one, I think Jill may make me cry.
  7. It is so shocking to me how the reporter was obviously baiting JB to get him to express guilt over failing his daughters, failing to protect his daughters, and he just kept going back to josh josh josh. Damn! Definitely not nice people. Michele could not even get real tears out.
  8. There was a post that was rescued from 2007 made on some blog by a woman who claimed to know the Duggars. It pretty much said aaaalll of this that has come to light. One of the things she said was that the court mandated therapy for Josh and the girls, IIRC. But of course, there is no way to know if they went. I used to think that the Duggars were very media savvyy because they were so good at creating their image. I take it back. It must have been some team doing it for them. I'm watching the interview and apparently they don't realize that the public isn't gonna be cool with all those things JB is detailing. It's one thing to read vague news of molestation on website that may or may not be accurate, and another to see them on camera and admitting there were a bunch of incidents, some under the clothes, that it was with Josh's sisters, etc etc. I imagine in their minds people wouldn't be too scandalized by that and would understand that Josh was young, etc etc. They gave JB enough rope and he hang himself, I think.
  9. I just started watching and my first thought is that at least JB looks like an actual person to me for the first time ever. Michelle continues to be a creepy robot.
  10. Are police reports juvenile records? There was no arrest made or anything. (Honest question, I do not know about these things).
  11. Thanks for the summary. I will try to catch it later, but I am surprised they admitted to all those things. I guess I expected way more vagueness.
  12. But, do most people know some of the victims were Duggar girls? The few mainstream articles I skimmed through did not say, I think. Perhaps they hope most of the people didn’t catch that and getting rid of Josh would be enough to get rid of the uncomfortable factor.
  13. I think the interview is precisely part of the plan to try to save the show. I bet it will all be about minimizing Josh's "mistakes" and putting the focus on what a great Christian, but human (not perfect), family they are. They obviously have fans who are willing to overlook this and will continue watching. I've seen them being quite vocal in some places. the question is, though, how many viewers are less committed to the Duggars and will just be too appalled to keep watching this lie of a show. I hope if they do keep the show it's sort of like how TLC tried to push John and Kate plus 8 past John....and it just didn't work (at the time, I don't know what's up with that now).
  14. They would not give an interview to someone who wouldn’t treat them with kid gloves.
  15. Yay! I was a bit meh after the first episode, but eventually it got really good. At least as far as I have gotten. The writer is very good at complicating things, lol, the things he comes up with! O.O Radio dramas need to make a comeback, yo! They are so great for when you are doing boring chores or at the gym.
  16. Maybe you guys already know about this, but thought I'd leave the rec anyway. There's a zombie radio drama/podcast called "We're Alive" that I wholeheartedly recommend. It's way better than I expected. I've just finished season one and I'm hooked.
  17. I had seen that one, but that's more like a teaser than a trailer, I think. Thanks anyway.
  18. If they're willing to do an interview it's obvious that they want to salvage the show. I'm judging them very hard right now. I hope they don't get that, but with TLC taking to long... gross.
  19. I think they could have salvaged it if the molestation hadn't been in the family. If the victims were unknown or if it happened after Josh left the family home or behind the families backs. Then they would just need to get rid of Josh. But as it is the entire show is tainted by this, imo.
  20. This feels super inaccurate. One of the most interesting things about this whole thing is seeing how the story keeps changing as people keep repeating it. I read the report as best as I could, cause it was really hard with so many of the words blacked out, but what I understood was that he would go into the room when the girls were asleep. There was also a similar incident with a girl who was visiting (or was it babysitting?) and fell asleep on the couch. But things escalated and there was an incident in the middle of the day in the laundry room, plus the reading book incident, which was completely different from the bolded and was probably the worst incident, imo. I found it very disturbing. It is on page 22. It was after the book incident, according to the child being interviewed, that he was sent away, almost immediately. Someone correct me if I got it wrong cause, like I said, it was a headache to read.
  21. I am not convinced by many of those who keep defending Josh using these arguments because I am completely convinced that if something like this happened with a gay man who had a reality show he used to show how normal gay families are, they would be burning the guy at the stake (figuratively speaking): calling him a pervert, and sick and that he had to repent for being a sick homosexual. They would also be screaming at all directions that he probably has molested his own children too, and that his was an example of the abomination of a godless life. In that case, if it was the gay man who molested his brothers when he was 14, they would have painted it as a sick act of perversion, not a forgettable teenage mistake. Their hypocrisy and double standards are blatant, so the message I get is not that it's about forgiveness, but that "boys will be boys who can't help themselves and make mistakes, so let's not make a big deal about it... as long as it's our boys and the molested ones are girls".
  22. Anything that comes out of the Duggars will not be about the truth of their feelings or what is right, IMO, it will be about salvaging their image. This is a PR disaster for them. It's not in the best interest of Josh's image to put together himself with "molested". Same with mentioning the victims being some of his sisters. Saying it was something from when he was a teen has to do with that, too. It's about minimizing things and separating people's minds from the situation, so they are more likely to go to his side. IMO
