It's a good thing that the Ryans has taken the background baby story cause if these two can't even write the main married couple, an adult age daughter and friendships, they have no hope for babies. Now I wonder what would happened if it was Hanning instead of Hawley that got the co-showrunner position. Would we still be stuck with a rehash of s4? Wouldn't be surprised if he bails if the show manages to get another season and TWP/Hawley is still in charger or is he sticking around cause he's likely next in line to be showrunner with who's left.

I totally agree that the last scene felt so tacked on. New Loksat nonsense clue to Castle talking to Lucy to clunky apology. TBTB wasted so much time in the beginning with the dumb separation which should've been either a rus in the 1st place or been clued in by 5th ep so that Castle can have some time to really think about things and forgive Beckett to work together at the fall finale. Plus Castle really needs to know about Rita. Apparently Vikram has the time to disappear from the precinct I think it was the middle of the day to work on Loksat. All of his scenes were back and forth between the strip club and precinct and wasn't this case solved in one day. I did like them working together on the ship and when Castle finally confronts Beckett in the interrogation room. I also kinda liked Martha's green outfit. At least Alexis was no where to be found during the hacking scene. I doubt she would want to hear Castle side of the phone convo with Beckett but then Alexis characterization has been off all season. I think the boat might be the same one from Disciple but it's probably the same marina from that ep. Did notice to it's gonna be more like 9 weeks off airing hiatus instead of 5-6 weeks. Will be interesting to see the ratings when it comes back cause I was thinking it was gonna be .8-.9 for January eps. Now with the Feb airing date, I wonder if ABC is hoping to keep the 1.0-1.1 ratings if they just push thru with all new eps from Feb to May. I really wish they kept Forever and just done part of the season during winter and the rest in summer in Castle's time slot.

Lol so apparently Castle is totally fine after the booty call since he has his video game to play with. Now it's making me wonder that Nathan tweets from that account since the instagram photo of the book he's holding looks like he's home. That account has been avoiding talking about Beckett since the 2 parter and isn't it Beckett's birthday today.

Lol so predictable that Lindsay was the killer. I figure she would be it since Andrea Roth was in the sneak peek. Vikram's scenes are so boring that they really need to make him a bad guy that duped Beckett cause now I'm preferring Haley more that him. At least she's immune to Espo charms. So unprofessional that Espo and Ryan are fighting in front of the head law firm guy but the guy asking about who gets the house got a laugh from me. I did like parts of the case. Like it involved the wealthy and that Castle knew someone that knew Keller. Castle using the conflict resolution tactics from his marriage with Gina to help Espo and Ryan's fight. The Hovertrax getting some use on screen since Castle's PI office continues to get tricked out. The anniversary surprise in the office with the balloon couldn't been sweet if not for this dumb separation and Locksat nonsense. The Caskett scenes would've been fun and kinda similar to Clear and Present Danger with less interruptus. You would've had the office surprise with plans for the anniversary, then a rain check cause they care so much about fixing Espo/Ryan's partnership then sex at the closing scene instead of it look like a booty call and secrets. Everyone and their mother recognizes that they're are married so this separation isn't fooling anybody unless the big bad is the dumbest secret organization ever. So the therapist's office kinda looks similar to Dr. Burke's office. Must be those vertical blinds that props keeps using. Apparently Alexis never goes to class cause she still seems to be at the PI office a lot and has time to go undercover. The hair and wardrobe just ages her way too much that she looks more like Beckett's peer than a college student about to graduate. This would've been the time to bring in Hastings and get an update on her writer boyfriend.

Even thought Vikram works in the precinct, Haley seems to be the new Tory. Just kinda there. Yeah Castle only calls Martha Mother but he did say Mom in the laser tag scene from s1. That office scene was dumb. That teen perked up thinking Castle as a role model instead he got Slaughter. I would rather have Castle since it was similar to when he wanted to be Alexis babysitter turned model friend back in s3. I think the only well lit indoor scenes were at Slaughter's ex-wife's house and the killer's youth organization office. Even the outdoor scenes had a blueish tint that went with every other dark scene.

Ikr? It seriously looked off like it was some weird glamour shot. KInda distracting especially in the alley scene when they kept going back and forth with the over the shoulder shots between them. That tasting the food scene made me wish we had more Caskett cooking scenes in the past 3 seasons since we're not getting anything like that anytime soon. Yep, when Gates was away, Beckett was in charge. They should've made one of the usual background detectives seniority to run the department while Beckett is away since Ryan/Espo shouldn't be in charge the way they been portrayed recently. Thanks to TV Line's recap that's where I recognized the killer from. Gabriel from The Closer.

It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I like the Martha's Unsolicited Advice book idea. Nathan and Adam still have chemistry tho I rather see Beckett around. Now I'm wondering if there is gonna be a upcoming Castle less ep. At least Alexis wasn't an annoying know it all. Slaughter background was completely bizarre but hilarious. I was with Castle's "who are you?" and now I got "boy, boy, crazy boy" stuck in my head. I did like the trouble teen and his snark at Slaughter at the end. Is this 1st ep where we didn't see the interrogation room or the loft. Yeah I thought it was an ad lib too. Was this the 2nd lost phone this season? I can't remember if he lost it in the premier.

Yep, but then Stana might've not signed up this season if she had to spend a season behind the desk like Gates was when she was in eps. It would've probably led to Castle PI starting Castle and Alexis with occasional appearances by Martha, Ryan and Espo. I also wonder if this season could survive a little better if it followed the books more. Castle has his PI business, Beckett running the office, and Ryan/Espo out at the crime scenes/interrogations. Castle could hire Ryan to do some extra work for him as a season long arc. Even if Beckett and Castle aren't spending all there time solving crimes together in person we could still have them get each other opinions over the phone/skype but have them together at home for the end of the day loft scenes instead of the depressing sad Castle at the loft scenes. They could even introduced a different big bad where the two of them working together over the season to defeat the villain and show those scenes like every 3rd or 4th ep. The lead actors still get the time off since the bulk of COTW is done by Ryan/Espo. I would've like see that type of scenario try to make it work than this bizarre separation storyline.

So Lindsay Price is guest staring. I thought Liz Vassey was Lindsay the 1st time I saw that s3 pizza ep. When Liz wears her hair differently she resembles Krista Allen. They really need to complete the pretty brunette killers trifecta with those 3 lol. I wouldn't be surprise if Nathan and Lindsay get lots of scenes sinc they know each other from way back according to Tiffiani's dinner on one of the cooking channels. Really Ryan and Espo in therapy while the one person who needs it ignores it. So tptb makes their relationship so dysfunctional so they gotta go to therapy when they used to be solid. None of the characters are safe from being destroyed this season. I really can't with all these "fun" in every ep description this season.
