PC Cemetery probably offers a "No body available" package that's 2/3 cheaper than one with an actual occupied casket. They cut costs by only digging a foot deep and not actually burying anything. That would make it easier to resell or reuse the plot at a later date.

Does the PC Cemetery have a buy back program? "I heard your dead spouse came back to life. Are you planning on keeping his plot in the cemetery? Ilia Malinin has his mother's family name but his is the male form of it instead of Malinina. According to Google, his sister's last name is Malinina. I can think of a few more examples of women of Slavic heritage whose last name is not the femininized version of their fathers - Angela Nikodinov and Nina Dobrev come to mind. On the other hand, Katia Gordeeva's daughters' last names are Grinkova and Kulik so I think it comes down to preference. I do think it'd be a bit easier bureaucratically for a parent/child to have their surname spelled the same.

I think if Josephine and Soho were related NBC would have mentioned it every five minutes and brought up other instances of relatives competing in the same competition in the same discipline. The only pair that comes to mind for me are the Kwans and that was 30 years ago.

I suspect it comes down to Isabeau having a style and program the judges prefer.

I've heard/read it was Michele Val Jean too. I may be misremembering but I've read she based Liz's rape story on her own personal experience. ETA: Did some Googling and found the following two Michele Val Jean tweets with photos of an article from Soap Opera Weekly about the storyline.

I wasn't actually watching in the months before rocks fell and Jason died but I got the sense the show tried to basically give Robin and Jason's history to Carly and Jason which did not sit well with me at all even though I never liked that pairing.

Why is this show pretending that only JD and DeShawn were literally the only ones in Sydney? Why not call the police or whatever and have them send people to the other bunkers?
