  1. All this talk about Franco's tumor and how Nelle can not be redeemed just makes me fear they are going to give Nelle a tumor.
  2. I know this was a typo but I wish this was the storyline. Ava finds a lost Monet at Windemere and marries Nikolas to get her hands on it.
  3. I wonder if any of the teens and younger are going to show up anytime soon. If I were a parent, I'd rather not have my kid take any unnecessary risks.
  4. I wish I had a better idea how the Cassadine legacy worked because if Nikolas was illegitimate, wouldn't Stefan have been next in line as Mikos' second son? Then again, this is the same show where the Q's apparently have no problem getting smaller and smaller shares of company stock as new members of the family show up.
  5. I've never understood how Nikolas is a legitimate Cassadine when his parents "marriage" took place while Laura was legally married to Luke. You'd think Stavros would have taken care of that minor detail before forcing Laura to marry him.
  6. That is super cute. They look so young too - I mean younger than they do on the show.
  7. I just finished watching The Claudia Kishi Club on Netflix. It's a short documentary (17 minutes long) about everyone's favorite middle-school aged artist. It features Asian-American writers talking about how Claudia inspired them to pursue the arts. It's really cute and I appreciate they included a male writer (Phil Yu of the Angry Asian Man blog and They Call Us Bruce podcast).
  8. Stacey is working for a hedge fund or is the CFO of some company. Jessi danced professionally and when she retired she became an instructor or opened up her own school. Mary Ann became a guidance counselor. Claudia teaches and is a free lance graphic designer. Dawn is a lawyer at a non-profit. Kristy is the office manager for the front office of a professional sports team or she's the head of human resources for a Fortune 500 company. That's what I can picture them doing based on their 13-year-old and 11-year-old personalities and talents.
  9. I've been doing a deep dive on BSC and I recently read an interview with Ann M. Martin where she said they received a lot of backlash when the character moved back to New York. That's when they realized just how popular the character was. Introducing Mallory as her replacement didn't help either. That last part is my assumption - I remember not being all that jazzed to lose Stacey for Mallory. Stacey was aspirational - she was who you wanted to actually be while Mallory was who you desperately didn't want to be (but probably were.)
  10. The girls are 13-14 now so they would have been 12-13 last year when they were filming. Whenever production of season 2 starts (nothing official but I'd be shocked if it wasn't renewed), they are all going to look a bit older. I wonder if they'll skip 8th grade altogether if production has to be delayed for more than a year and set the next season in high school.
  11. I know kidnapping is a standard soap trope but has the current Weber family experienced more than kidnappings that usual for a soap family? Liz has three boys and by my count Cam has been kidnapped twice (within a span of less than six months), Jake twice, and Aiden once. Am I missing any? No wonder Liz is strict about her kids checking in.
  12. When she was waffling about going back to school, I'm surprised no one thought to tell her that Oscar had walked those hallowed halls and if she went back to school her feet could tread upon the same tiles.
  13. Stuart Damon and Amber Tamblyn had such fantastic chemistry together. He also seems to have adored her in real life and thought highly of her abilities - he was very complimentary of her talent in an interview I read. Probably my favorite "big" scene of them together.
  14. I've never forgiven Jax for trying to steal Spencer because it resulted in him hooking up with Carly and inflicting Joss onto the world.
  15. I hope this storyline ends the way it did for Regina Morrow* in Sweet Valley High. I cannot believe we are expected to feel anything for Sasha beyond scorn. She is the one who orchestrated her break up with Michael who has all the appeal of an infestation of fruit flies. *Dead from coke.
  16. Chase's swimmers may not be the Olympians Sonny's sperm are, but this is soap opera land where birth control is only as effective as story dictates. The stress of this Wiley situation and Carly may have made Willow careless with her pills and maybe Chase bought a box of defective condoms. That said, I am firmly on Team Ulcer. No more babies on this show until they find a use for the newest one.
  17. The last thing anyone wants on this show is another baby for the Corinthos collection - the latest model is barely six months old - but Willow being pregnant with Chase's baby would be soapy. Chase could decide to stop being "noble" for the sake of Wiley and fight for Willow and their child and Carly could screech all she wanted about saving Wiley and wanting another baby to add to her hoard. Michael could stand there. That said I hope Willow is just developing an ulcer instead.
  18. Finally saw the wedding. Right before Willow said her vows, Carly and Sonny exchanged a smug look which I interpreted to mean as "Yes, soon there will be more babies for us to hoard!" Also, the camera cuts immediately to Sonny right after Willow says "until we are parted by death". I highly doubt it's foreshadowing of any kind - this show is not capable of that kind of subtlety but I thought it was hilarious. As for the look on Willow's face before and during the ceremony, I'd look like that too if I realized I was marrying Carly*. *Not a typo. Michael can't do anything without Carly and she is going to be as involved in that marriage as Willow and Michael.
  19. Time is wonky on soaps and in real life March 2020 was the longest March in human history, but it's been two months since Taggert died. Lucas pronounced his death on March 2. It isn't ridiculous at all Trina would still be grieving her father. It's not just her father's death she has to deal with - there's the kidnapping and the way he died. She should be in counseling but that's apparently something parents in Port Charles don't send their kids to until their second kidnapping.
  20. If Liz had thought to put in a claim to the estate, Cameron should have gotten a share of the estate. Since this was never mentioned, I don't think Liz did. I, however, distinctly remember Jason telling Liz he had set up a trust fund for Cameron and Jake under cover of Emily's death (the trust fund was going to look like it came from Emily) so she wouldn't have to worry abut money. Maybe this was the money she lost in bad investments.
  21. I'd love to have Emily back but only if the character was written closer to AT's version and not the princess in distress, friend to all the creatures NL version. Emily 1.0 had a spark that 2.0 lacked. You could call 1.0 many things but insipid was not one of them. One of the things I liked best about AT's Emily was that she had no use for Carly - never forgave her for the damage she did to either of her brothers - and had no issue letting Carly know she thought Carly was trash and a waste of oxygen. And the best part was that Carly had to eat the insults because Jason had told her that she didn't have to be friends with Emily but that Carly was not allowed to scheme against her and if he ever found Emily smelling like booze in a dumpster, they were through. There were times when I actually found myself wincing on Carly's behalf because the insults were so cutting. I remember Carly's bridal shower before her marriage to AJ. Emily gave her a cheap, trashy red teddy so AJ would know exactly what he was marrying. It was especially cutting because I think it may have been a joint shower with Chloe and Chloe had just opened a box with a beautiful antique satin nightgown and I think Carly was hoping for the same. If they can bring back Jake despite having his heart or whatever donated (just how many purloined organs does mini-Me!Me! have?) they can bring back Emily. Blame it on Helena - faking deaths and kidnapping is practically her hobby.
  22. At least have Cyrus burn down the house. I'm sitting here reading about the renovation and wondering why you'd want to renovate while your family is on lockdown. It just seems like an easy way to for someone with bad intentions to get close to your family.
