  1. Same! I pretty much think Caleb is an honorary liar (despite the fact I don't dig Haleb) and Paige is surprisingly useful from time to time but I find the overdramatic group shots of the liars and all their "bed buddies", like the one at the end of tonight's episode and the one from the 100th episode, cheesy as hell and I really wish they stuck to one, máx. two love interests per scene. I believe they're trying to make a juxtaposition with how the girls used to stand alone before A's latest wreckage which is fine, we get it, I don't need to see it over and over again.
  2. If anyone is interested Satan made a thing. I find it remarkable how consistly brilliant the Mona/Hanna dynamic was written over the years that Hanna desperately calling out for Mona at the sight of her wrecked house and full on bawling on street after realizing she was dead felt so incredibly organic and true that the show didn't even need to make them any kind of special recconecting during this episode to sell it like so many others would have fallen in the mistake of doing. I think Aria being compassionate is an even more useless trait (to Alison) than her being passionate. All the other girls' traits had a clear use to her, I don't get Aria's. At least passionate is something you can manipulate into turning bad. We saw her do that when she manipulated Aria in wrecking her father's study and I have a very strong feeling Alison has a very clear objective for Ezria.
  3. Ooooh, damn that livestream! Yes I do agree passionate fits Aria well. Better than compassionate for sure. Still seems even sillier that's the reason Alison picked her. What use does that have to her? Unless it serves to manipulate the hell out of Aria to be destructive. Hm. Now I'm thinking about Alison being like a Tornado and Aria wondered out loud if she ruined everything she touched that one time and all the parallels between them that were never explored. My thoughts exactly. That's my number one frustration as far as pretty little liars is concerned and the show can't help but make me hopeful that it will adress the Ali/Aria parallels and Vivian Darkbloom from time to time. I never got the "evil" vibe with Tanner or Holbrook that we got with Wilden. I believe the big difference between them is the former are primarily trying to do their job and not screw over anyone innocent. Unfortunately, they just happen to be only slightly better than the average rosewood policeman which doesn't say much and have the potential to ruin our main characters' lives either out of simple incompetence but also because the girls are suspicious as hell and I personally can't really blame them for thinking they're guilty. On an entirely different note, I just remembered I really could have have gone without that opening scene with Ezria hugging beside Emily consoling Hanna. I don't need anymore reasons to delude myself Hannily might be endgame, MK! Stop toying with me!
  4. Same, mostly because I have a hard time believing Alison is actually gonna go full on myself villain, so for a moment there I thought they might have struck a deal and faked Mona's death together. Then the body. Still, we didn't actually get to see who was the blonde but Alison's smirk was pretty condenming. But given the way this show works, if they went as far as creating mystery as for who was the killer then it most likely wasn't Alison. I'll go as far to say that the whole "Alison is evil" thing felt more like a fake-out than anything this show has ever done. I don't buy it for a second. I definitely think it was a wig. In any case it doesn't fit Alison's hair which was noticeably darker. I'm calling it right here: the killer was Ezra in a wig. I enjoyed the episode a lot, overall, even though I watched it through a livestream. The entire concept was executed very well especially when the whole notion of Mona and the liars working together could have gotten contrived really fast but the writers went right in having Mona actually adressing the shit she has done at last and apologizing. Tonight was the first time I actually thought she was sincere and because of that it became very clear the episode was going to be a goodbye letter to her of sorts and it was a fitting one. This whole thing basically started with Alison vs. Mona and it felt right that it would end like that. The concept of Alison being A and Spencer being someone's killer finally being explored also feels like a long time coming. I'm especially happy the latest wasn't fully exhausted last season, like I previously believed, when we found out Spencer didn't kill Alison. I'm still wondering because that whole thing about Aria being compassionate was pretty laughable. Not because she isn't but because, for one, she as compassionate as she is self-absorved and it's also hardly a trait that's unique to her. I think all the girls are plenty compassionate, Hanna and Emily especially have HUGE hearts but Spencer isn't far behind. I have a strange feeling the show will come back to this. But I have been plenty wrong about Aria before so what do I know. I want to make a special mention to Mona's Mom who was the cutest and Hanna getting a high SAT score. I always knew you had it in you, hon!
  5. Yeah, I was seriously freaked out by Aria's shoes until I realized it was supposed to be a costume. I stopped wearing those by the time I was 8. Usually all I can compute with both Emily's and Hanna's current style is that it looks like a great pile of tight fabric in earthy tones with more leather and cut outs that I'd be comfortable with but that Emily usually pulls it off but not tonight. I'll echoe everyone when it comes to that fuggly shirt wrapped around her waist. Spencer once again looked gorgeous. I coveted both her dresses but especially the first one: Mona also looked amazing. I want that top:
  6. My vote goes to Mona but it could be the case of the person faking their own death like another poster has said. From that list, Paige is the one I least care about but I don't want Emily to have another dead girlfriend. All the others are unexpendable. It could be Lucas...it would fit with how distressed Hanna is. On a happy note, it looks like Ali is definitely back to her style of dresses and jeans jacket and I couldn't be happier.
  7. Yeah, after the finale, I think we all automatically assumed Melissa was the one who murdered Bethany Young but it was Ali she actually intended to kill so I wasn't really that emmotionally invested in this storyline, but I was actually really impressed with the reveal and how it was handled overall. The scenes between Melissa and Spencer were just gorgeous and they really did justice to one of the greatest dynamics of the show, imo. I also don't think Spencer actually hit anyone that night and that both Melissa and Ali were telling the truth. And now that i've written that I noticed how unlikely that may seem, but their stories sure fit. I really wanna know who killed that girl/who tried to kill Alison and I'm kinda glad the mystery is still unsolved (don't kill me). Didn't one of the writers say, before the season started, that we'd find that answer out in the mid season finale? Did I imagine that? I've always had a special place in my heart for the AriA theory and Aria playing nice in the bathroom might even be explained as her away of keeping Mona on a leash. That said, while I adore Mona and what she brings to the show, I have no sympathy for her whatsoever. Her talk about all she has done was to protect herself from Alison was some grade A bullshit and I was surprised/disappointed Aria didn't call her out on it. Any of the other girls would have. SO DO I!!! The direction of that scene (and the entire episode overall) was really cool but I'm curious as well. The character from the black and white movie had glasses that strongly reminded of Nerd!Mona's and given how strongly Mona reacted (if we're to take it as a real reaction) I believe Aria might have made some pretty nasty comment in regards to that along with a threat of some kind, like she'd strangle Mona if she hurt Mike or something. ITA. Then only way I could see Mona being genuine in the bathroom scene is if Aria was A. It's way more likely she was playing the hell out of Aria and Aria is a great fool. Yup. Couldn't have put it better myself. These two should only ever interact with each other. And speaking of being a better boyfriend to Caleb, I can't help but notice how heavy handedly schmoopy Spencer and Toby have been for this entire half a season and I don't know man...something wicked this way comes. I'm feeling a tingle. I'm kind of annoyed about that tbh. I'm the first one to praise Spencer for being so on her feet when it comes to how dangerous Alison is and I'm team Hanna in the Hanna vs. Alison 100%, BUT when it comes to Emily it seems that the moment she slept with Alison it's like a switch went off in her head. It's like she just needed to do that to get Ali out of her system which is real thing in life but it's kind of irritating to me in this scenario because I actually feel Alison has genuine feelings for Emily. i'm not saying I don't think Alison isn't toxic as hell in spite of that and that Emily should have stuck with her anyway, especially after last episode, but I guess I just felt the switch from "Ali is a victim" to "Ali is A" was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast as well. I couldn't care less about Paige but I was kinda glad she was doing so good and moving on and Emily didn't get her back with a snap of her fingers. Girl is getting way too spoiled. I was happy if how it was handled, unlike the last time, but I hope we're done with Ravenswood as well although those goddamn fireflies left me wary. I love the supernatural genre and I'm still hanging in there with TVD to this day after seriously considering quitting it 20 times and don't even get me started on my hate/hate relationship with Supernatural but that show sounds really freaking stupid. Episodes like these is the reason I'm still hopelessly in love with this show. I haven't been excited for the midseason finale and sometimes kind of even dreading it but I'm sure as hell now. I predict Ali will redeem herself somewhat to the girls and that either Ezra or Toby will turn out to be A or a real enemy of some kind. I'm thinking Mona is the one who dies but I'm not set on that.
  8. Scarletregina, I couldn't agree more that the grounge look just doesn't feel true to Hanna. Going from "It Girl" to a grounge look was way too overdramatic. Maybe she took some inspiration from Caleb's decidely hobo style and since she was feeling dark and twisty inside and so was he... (The only character who I've see who has ever been able manage to make that type of extreme style change look seemingless was Jenny from Gossip girl and that's because the actress definitely owned it, down to the ugly raccoom make up and ever uglier extentions, unlike Hanna.) Hefty!Hanna, from what I remember, had a casual sort of preppy style with lots of pastel colors in her palette. I think the fact that Spencer is the preppy girl (turned up to 11) made them afraid of going there with Hanna so they most likely decided to go for the approach of putting all styles in a hat a pull a random one. I believe it would have been truer to Hanna's real style if the stylist had her stop putting so much effort in her outfits and started going for a more effortless and simple but still fashionable look. We've seen her on the show sometimes "clean faced" and dressed down, either loudging around her house with those of-the-shoulder loose fitting tops, hair in a messy ponytail, or even during that season 1 episode she got run by Mona where she had her hair straightened and was wearing a really confortable, casual look and she always looked very pretty. That's a style that would have felt more anti-alison to me than her squished into stuff that looks like a darker and less pretty and less flatetting version of what Hanna used to wear. Or maybe that's what they're going for.
  9. Remember back when some videos and interviews were released with the show's stylist where she talked about how she does her thing and that she puts a lot of thought on each of the girls' outfits and she sort of struggled with Paige for a while and MK sometimes has to reel her in from going to out there (!!!!). I really hope we get one of those commenting on Alison's style at some point. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she comes clean about struggling with getting an older Alison's personality and the concept of having Alison wearing her Mom's clothes (which she's totally doing) was a miss.
  10. So is this the summer finale or what? I guessing not given the lack dramatics in the promo but it's not right? Whew, this half a season flew by...I'm not pleased so little seems to have happened. Also, according to this, the scene with Alison hooked up to the lie detector is not from the next episode. I don't think there's anything we don't already know in that article but you should click with caution if you're really serious about being spoiler-free.
  11. Yeah, the whole pregnancy debate really caught me off guard in the threads so I rewatched the episode and I only caught her tummy for like 2 seconds and there's no way in hell that's her being pregnant. I have one of those and I'm a size 4 and as child-free as you can get. I really hope they don't stick the girl in a gym because she's not super tonned. I actually think that works for her because she looks more womanly and the age difference between her and the other actresses doesn't look so obvious. All the girls on the show are slim but I really appreciate how they all look really healthy. Ashley Benson is naturally very curvy, same goes for Shay and even Lucy Hale who's very tiny is hardly stick thin.
  12. Which brings me to the fact that I personally never bought Alison was all that. Sure the girl talks a good game, but she never seemed to hold any real power as far as I'm concerned. She has always seemed like a scared little girl waaaaay over head who talked a good game to me. And there's a huge difference between whatever hold she has over her little click and her peers as a bully and her having power of adult men. I'll buy it sooner in regards to Jenna or Mona then Alison, because we have in fact seen Jenna make a fool out of Garret, exceptionally. But I still wouldn't claim Jenna has anywhere as much power of her life as you've claimed Alison has over hers. And Ian, you know, got killed (by Alison? I think, not sure). So no pattern.
  13. Well, uh, it does take more than one case to create a pattern. Given Cyrus storyline isn't wrapped up yet, I'm holding out judgment...mostly. Jack Shaftoe, I really hate to do this, but the other things you've said in your post I've either already adressed (ad nauseum at this point) on my previous posts on the matter or really fail to see the relevance to the current argument. I will add that the idea of teenage girls holding positions of power, even in fiction, is absolutely laughable to me, especially in a show where adult males being predatory is not only the norm but romaticized.
  14. Yeah, those are very strong words to say about a 15 year old. I personally have a really hard time seeing how a 15 year (now 17?) was able to be in a position to be in control of much of anything, especially Alison in regards to the crazy things that went on in her life. YMMV, i have almost ten years on this girl so my standard position on her is that she's a very screwed up, confused and messed up child who is absolutely her own worst enemy, no doubt. For what's worth, I've had a lot of experience with toxic friendships and my take is remarkably like Spencer's in real life, but given my priviledged pov as a viwer, I'm utterly unable to be too hard on her even though I very rarely find her likable.
  15. First, I never said there are no consequencer ever for guys on the show. Second, Jenna and Mona are treated like very untrustworthy characters at best and occasionally villains (along with Alison) while Toby and Ezra are, like you said, love interests after the shit they've pulled. I think that speaks for itself. Third, my discomfort with the Cyrus storyline steems from how much it reminds me of the Ezra situation and I fear it will become a pattern on the show if it isn't properly adressed. I never said what we've been shown about the Alison/Cyrus dynamic, at this point, was equivalent to being held blindfolded in a basement. The term I used was "more or less similar" but I supposed I should have said what seemed like a blatant lie from Alison's side, for several episodes, turned out to have been inspired by some real scary stuff she went through which was surprising to me and makes me think believing everything she says is a complete lie is as innacurate as believing everything she says is complete truth.
  16. Hopefully, Ali will pay him back with interest, but that's beside the point. No one more than me wants the show to have him punished at some point so I can go back to love watching it in peace. As it is, the narrative clearly framed that letting Cyrus go unpunished would have been the right thing to do. Alison didn't do that, got yelled at and Cyrus has gone unpunished for assaulting her anyway, as of the last episode, which is what I'm arguing. Yes, it was Alison's doing but the narrative still makes me deeply uncomfortable because it mirrors the time Hanna had Aria let Ezra go too. It's starting to become a pattern for older man creeping on young girls to get away with it on the show. We don't have any of the female characters in the same position and getting away with it so if that not a distressing gender bias, I don't know what it is. Hopefully, the show will adress it at some point and all will be well.
  17. Of course, given this is pretty little liars and Alison, there's a possibility she might be lying. As of right now, I'm heavily leaning towards Alison not having lied about that guy assaulting her, possibly worst than she even let on. We are talking about a young girl who spent two years running for her life so the possibility she went through something like that is huge. I personally did not see it coming that what seemed like a very blatant lie (that she was kidnapped and held in a basement) was actually inspired by something more or less similar that she seemed to have went through. Also, the thing about Alison is that I love/hate is that it's simply not as easy as writting off everything she says as a lie. You just never know where the truth ends and the lying begins. And negating that takes 80% of the fun of her character for me. The fact that Alison planned to release Cyrus all along doesn't really change the point from my previous post because the pressure from the girls was never my problem, but the narrative letting a guy who assaulted a teenage girl go scotch free, yet again, was. Desperate people do desperate things. It's hardly uncommon for abused people, especially women, to stay with their abusers for years, decades, their entire lives seemingly happy to the outside world because they might feel they don't have a choice, that they need them, love them, etc. I hardly think someone as pragmatic as Alison wouldn't go as far as using someone who has hurt her in the past if she felt she didn't have another option and I don't think that negates that fact she's traumatized by her past with him. The fact that she might have had a Bonnie and Clyde dynamic with him at some point before it got ugly and even while it was ugly also doesn't negate the possibilty he was physically abusive towards her. At all. I haven't seen it mentioned here yet, but the picture from the funeral home that got Ali acting weird and heading straight to the bathroom showed up in this episode during one of the flashbacks. That and all we've seen from Alison this season makes me think her trauma is very real. Does that mean she's not using the hell out of her victim stick? Of course not. But she has good reason to, as far as I'm concerned. The girls is scared for her life and hardly swimming in options. That's one of my favorite things about her character even though I rarely find her likable: it's hardly ever exactly one thing or the other with her. Great catch!
  18. Spencer looked effing gorgeous this past episode. Her hair looked better than it has in a very long time and I wanted both her outfits, especially the first one. The color palette of plaid, black and white is my favorite right now and seriously what I wore to work today. Aria also looked cute at first: Then she pulled out that leopard print hooded thing and I was just done. Am I being paranoid or...? IT'S BACK!!!!!!! Yet, even with this monstruosity's return, Hanna is the worst dressed in this episode as far as I'm concerned: Unless she got a job working at a gas station and it slipped my mind.
  19. Uhg, same! This is one of the reasons I'm seriously worried about the next episode. On one hand, I was initially really happy my prediction that the Zach debacle would lead Aria to realize Ezra is the worst seemed to be coming true. I mean, her little monologue about having a list of things to say to Ezra, I don't think I've ever loved her more. I squeed when Ella told Aria the advice about giving people second chances was her talking about Zach (after she caught him perving on underage girls probably) and when the photo of Ella and Zach fell in Aria's hands while she was talking to Ezra. Also Aria telling him not to talk to Alison was clearly a test from her part, on a subconcious level, which he failed at. By being really creepy to a teenage girl. So the parallels coudn't be more perfect at this point which is why I'm really trying not to freak out about Ella's TERRIBLE advice. For one, I don't think it did much of anything for Aria so it might just be the writers creating suspense about where they're gonna go with Ezria. My instincts tell me the writers are leading us to reveal once and for all Ezra for who he he truly is and it's gonna be big. If they backdial again, at this point, then I don't even know anymore. I really don't, especially as far as Ella is concerned. Basically what this poster said: You did call it! This episode started promising to be a snooze-fest as far as Hanna is concerned with her wanting to have a normal life and all but then if it didn't take a turn for awesome 2 min. in her storyline starting with a sample of Janel's surprisingly beautiful voice and it never turned back. Hanna's genuine concern for Mona was touching as hell and her going through Mona's purse was awesome. The car scene was just brilliant. These two continued to be one of the best dynamics this show has to offer and I want more as well, along with Jenna! Yes, my initial reaction to that scene was complete and utter dread because I thought for sure we were dealing with a twin but then Dark!Ali (clever show! *pets it*) started talking more like herself so I'm holding out hope that was really Ali so I can appreciate that twist because I didn't see it coming at all. And that's a first for me as far as PLL is concerned given I saw the reveals about Mona, Toby and Ezra coming a mille away. Why yes, I basically quoted your entire post, why do you ask? ITA on the implied rape and your opinion in regards to Ali. I was also thrilled that we got the return of Vivian Darkbloom. I'm actually pretty shocked, week after week, the opinion about her character is so consistenly low on this forum because I find her fascinating. Also, I was just thinking the other day about how I wished they made a mention, any mention, about Vivian Darkbloom which is a storyline that has a special place in my heart because it was batshit insane in the best way (Alison learning how to fly an airplane?) and it was one of the moments in the show that made me seriously believe they had a great plan for Aria's character given her similarities with VD, alas.... I disagree. IMO, the show has gone through great lenghs to show Alison looking genuinely sad/traumatized when she's all by herself to the point it seemd kinda anvilitious to me. YMMV. On another note, I know most are proud of Emily's smackdown of Alison and while given the context, I can't blame her, something about this episode made me greatly uncomfortable. Through most of it I kept flashbacking to the time Hanna convinced a mightily pissed off Aria not to go to the principal and reveal Ezra in all his gross glory and get him sent to jail (a scene where I was sure the Lord was testing me). This time around, in order for Alison to do the right thing by her friends she would have had to let a man who assaulted her go free. Anyone seeing a pattern here? And when she didn't, her almost-girlfriend yelled at her and cut her off. Like I said, I get where Emily is coming in the context because Alison did most assuredly screw them all by doing that and Emily went to the bat for her time and time again so I'm not criticizing Emily's actions, more like the narrative, you know? Which brings me back to the begining of my post where I talked about being seriously worried about next episode because if along with the above we get the writers backdialing on sinking Ezria once and for all then I'm really worried it will change how I watch this show, IF i continue to watch it, and I don't say that lightly because I truly love it 90% of the time. But enough is enough.
  20. Yep, this is what I'm getting but I also can't help but be hopeful they have a plan given all the subtext about male love interests lying and/or hitting on teenage girls and the show painting them a gross as they deserve. Next episode, we have Ella yet again telling Aria there have been signs she overlooked about Zach being a creep and in this one there was that line about people being blind about the people they love. I can't help but feel the show is slowly but surely leading Aria to realize Ezra is actually the worst. Luck you! I've had my eyes dilated almost every time I've ever went to the oftamologist. It happened less often after I started wearing glasses at 18 because then I just went for quick check ups so that might have been your experience. I'm thinking that's definitely one of the possible endings for Alison's character and it would be a fitting one, imo, because she always worked better as a tragic figure, but I have a very strong feeling the writers have, at least, a two year plan for her character arc so I'm thinking her death might happen in the last season or most likely at the end of the sixth season so they can start season 7 at the same place the girls were in season 1 (but, you know, not). The rumoured time jump could even happen here which would mirror the one after Alison's death and I'm thinking more and more Alison will only reach her true redemption in death. Of course, if she was a guy, she'd only have to appear shirtless a couple of times on the show and it would all be good which is incidentally the reason I might feel a little ambivalent about her dying.
  21. Unpopular opinion: I don't have any fundamental issues with how Alison has been written. I used to be completely against bringing her back because I thought her death was essential to the tone of the show but since then I've changed my mind and I really think bringing her back breathed some fresh air to pll. I'm with everyone else that I've grown tired of her "poor me" thing but I don't think it goes against the character that was shown in the flashbacks because for one that was from other people's pov and two, it was before she spent two years running for her life. I think the problem is the pacing of this season. The writers should have moved Alison's (and Hanna's!) story along two or three episodes ago. Have her screw up on a major way already and have the girls completely turn on her so she'll reach rock bottom and have some real motivation to redeem herself besides making nice to near strangers she bullied (which I think is exactly where we're going with the mid-season finale). Whiile I wish that's the way the writers should have went, I think there's something to be said for the choices they've made and how the majority of the audience is sharing much of the exact feelings the girls have for Alison lately and I feel that's important if it comes to a point where we're forced to choose who to root for and they definitely couldn't risk having Alison become too likable and have the audience turn on the girls.
  22. I don't like the tutu look but I don't think it looked bad on Aria, it just didn't fit the occasion. I thought that outfit would work a lot better in a highschool dance or something. I totally agree with the comment that she's often dressed against body type. The proportions of her outfits are all over the place. Emily needs to chop her glorious mane off I say and, Lord knows I think she looked as good as anyone could look in that jumpsuit but it needs to go and never come back again. It made her look way too old.
  23. Yes! I complained about the pacing of this season in the last episode's thread so I'm glad they've wrapped this up and did a pretty good job, imo. Caleb said all the right things and boy if there was ever anyone who deserved a punch! Thank you for the public service, Caleb. I'm not even a fan of yours usually but I never liked you more than in this episode. I think the reason I also didn't get a neanderthal vibe from Caleb punching Zach was because he didn't make the whole thing about him. It was clear that his focus was on Hanna and making her feel better and understand that Zach creeping on her was Zach's fault and not hers. The punch was just a cherry on top of the cake and some payback for that sleaze. I also wouldn't forgive Aria that easy BUT I give her props coming to her senses all on her own, stopping Ella from marrying that creep and apologizing to Hanna in the spam of one episode. She's still pretty much dead to me, but it worked on the show at least. I might be wrong, but I spy with my little eye a nice piece of foreshadowing. This is the second episode this season where we got one of the mothers dealing with a failed relationship because the guy is a liar/a creep that they've blinded themselves about for too long. The fact that they've been Spencer's and Aria's mothers and that we got an explicit mention of Ezra being a creep in this episode? I think this mini-storylines signify we're in for some good stuff in the future when it comes to Toby and Ezra. Or at least the latest. Seriously, the same hairstyle and sunglasses I can deal but I did a double-take when I noticed the same outfits. I'm oficially worried for Jenna because I predict Sidney is cray cray. Speaking of Jenna, WELCOME BACK NEVER LEAVE AGAIN! She was great as ever in all of her morally ambiguous glory. How do the writers always seem to write her as thought she's simultaneously deep in A stuff but also living her own life and the liars are the crazy ones for accusing her of stuff? I did not see Emily having that reaction about Sydney being friends with Jenna coming but it was amazing! But I didn't think it was unwarranted because Emily really invested a lot of time in being friends with this girl only for her to turn up to be a big fat liar. This show always works better when the dial is turned up to 11 and in this was episode it was definitely all the way up. And yes, Emily's hair looked particularly beautiful during that scene to the point of distraction. I found myself thinking she'd look great with a shoulder lengh style. Yes!!!!!! I never wanted that scene between Noel and Spencer to end. Possibly one of my favorite ones of the series! He was absolutely fascinating and it's been fringging YEARS since I've loved Spencer as much I did when she stood her ground and kept the leverage! I would love if they became allies at some point because I feel like they're in the same boat -- trying to survive Alison. Girl is truly a tornado. Speaking of which, how great was it that we got that scene in the same episode Jenna gave Alison a reality check about Shana and the people close to her? I feel like Spencer is miles ahead from the other liars about how dangerous being friends with Ali is and I say that as an Alison fan. The worst part is that Alison clearly doesn't realize what she does but that's often how it goes with toxic people. Which brings me to A creating the perfect trap for Alison and, man, i'd be shocked with she doesn't fall for it. She's just too desperate to think straight. I believe her redemption will be a looooong and torturous road and it has barely begun. But first she has to reach rock bottom for it to truly sink in her actions got serious consequences and she has to change. If I'm gonna have to watch a show where Ezra and Toby are good guys then I want her redeemed! I thought it was really ambiguous, it would go either way at this point,. I don't think I'd want them to go there again but props to Byron for giving the sweetest ex-husband speech ever which touched me twice as hard given I'm whovian and some of the words used. That was truly, truly beautiful!
  24. Wow, Lucy Hale's voice sounded deeper than I expected. I agree with the criticisms, she could definitely use some singing lessons but I'll say she sounds better live than in the musical video released for "You sound good to me" which was completely irredemable imo. I have no idea how this industry works but I feel the people who are behind her jumped the gun on having go out there and perform this soon because everything about her seems incredibly amatourish from the pitchy singing (which got better halfaway through the video) to the hand gestures to her lyrics. And I have a pretty good tolerance for cheesy pop/country songs! I believe she desperately needs more polishing, she just does, which PLL's shooting schedule probably didn't help with. My least favorite part are her songs though. Taylor Swift isn't a great singer by any means, especially live, but her lyrics make it worth it listening to her.
  25. I could! I'm pretty sure I had all those outfits repressed, thanks for unlocking those memories! This is one of my all time favorites among Aria's (terrible) outifts: Girl looked like a child prostitute. Classic! She should just stick to dresses. She usually has a pretty great taste in those. I've coveted all of these ones: Let's ignore the shoes on next one: Shirt and Skirt but simply adorable: Last but not least the dress she wore in the pilot, which has a special place in my heart because it was the one episode Aria seemed remotely interesting. It looks so pretty and airy and comfortable: Aria and I have a very similar body type so I'd kill for any of these dresses...In real life my style is more similar to Spencer's, but she's very tall and lean and she can pull off stuff I never could.
