I read elsewhere that James Alexandrou did not want to return to the show, at least not at the moment, and James Bye was cast with his approval. I believe that Martin will be back, though.

I don't know that Sonia is necessarily telling the whole story about Martin being so awful to her in their time offscreen. He seemed to be very willing to support her and try to work things out with their marriage and I can't imagine that a man who allegedly had no interest in his wife would make that effort. In the past, she always seemed to see him as too common for her, that his life of wanting to be near family and run the fruit and veg stall was not the kind of life she wanted. Not saying that Martin has no hand in any of it at all, but I think Martin and Sonia's marital problems are mostly all about Sonia.

Yeah, that list is not that great. If I recall correctly, BMP intentionally cast Irene for Los Angeles because they wanted someone who was getting married for that season. Sarah from Miami? She was one of the more interesting people from that season. Mohamed and Cory?

I haven't seen any spoilers, but my guess is that it may have to do with Peter's admission to Lola a while back about when he was living in Devon, his friend drowned while they were out swimming and he never told the friend's family the details about what happened. One of my other favorite Cynthia scenes was when the roommates had been out at a club and Flora had been hanging all over Luis despite her relationship with Mitchell, then ended up leaving the club with him in his car. After they got home, a couple of the roommates were talking in the kitchen (I think?) when Flora finally came home and they asked her how her evening had gone. Cynthia walked into the kitchen and said directly to Flora "I'm gonna tell you to your face, not behind your back, I thought you were acting like a ho and that you could have been better than that" and "Just don't fuck him, okay, even if he has three rubbers on, okay? I thought you were gonna fuck him!" I DIED. I still laugh from that to this day.
