  1. I remember reading that, too. @choclatechip45 thank you for the link!
  2. I legitimately started crying when I saw Shorty and Mercy on screen. I lived for hearing all of the stories about them that Melissa used to share on her blog back in the day, including a video of a song that Justin Beck and Shorty wrote for Shalom either before or soon after she was born. I loved that entire section of the show (and I need Mercy to come to my house to make pancit and lumpia). Hoping that they have many more healthy and happy years together.
  3. I was holding out hope that she would be able to come back to EE under the new showrunner, even if for a brief appearance. So sad to lose such a legend.
  4. I was able to watch episodes on Britbox directly this week - I signed up for a trial because they hadn't been posted on the Prime Video portal. When I looked at the Prime page earlier today, this week's episodes had been posted.
  5. I thought library books as well, maybe as a callback to the first movie - reading the book of love letters in bed with Big, their not-a-wedding at the main branch of the New York Public Library.
  6. His reaction when Miranda told him she met someone took me out, he looked like she had punched him in the gut. I guess there wasn’t much of a way to soften that, but damn.
  7. I nearly died laughing when Ayanna started taking off her jumpsuit and had her uniform underneath. I am still side eyeing her for how she did Sophia so dirty but the callback to that moment was funny.
  8. I recall reading an interview with Bunim-Murray somewhere years ago (if my brain isn’t failing me) that they specifically cast someone who was getting married because they wanted to make that a storyline on the LA season.
  9. I howled when Janine introduced herself as Judith Bernstein and immediately heard Pat saying “she’s about as Jewish as a bacon sandwich” in Pam St. Clement’s voice. Such great memories of the two of them together.
  10. I thought the EXACT same thing when she was imitating PK. Crystal is a stone cold G, I have to give it to her. Sutton was completely deflecting the situation because she had not brought a gift for Garcelle, goes against her all the way properly raised Southern lady image. The calmer [general] you can remain while the other person falls apart, the better you look. Hoping that this whole Thomasina storyline gets a rest soon.
  11. The first thing I thought of was Fredo Corleone.
  12. I binged all five episodes last night. I had a feeling going in that I was going to wither away to dust from reliving the 80s or be a sobbing mess from my memories of that decade by the end of the series, especially of the friends that were lost to AIDS in those years. Turned out to be a little of the former and a whole lot of the latter. Well done, RTD. I loved every minute, even the ones that broke my heart.
  13. I heard someone say "I don't think it was worth it" in response to "it better be worth it" (referring to the reveal of Dorit's dinner outfit after the long wait) and that laid me out laughing. I am pretty sure that came from Garcelle.
  14. Invasion of the Champions is on Pluto TV right now (July 8th at 9:00 PM PDT).
  15. "I'm not going to throw Nelson's name under the bus." Oh, Cory. Can the phrase "under the bus" be retired now, please and thank you? This show ran it into the ground a long time ago but that pretty much sealed it as deader than dead. (It did make me cackle, tho.)
  16. The Wicks got on my absolute last nerve so Belou going in and letting have on them was everything. One of my favorite scenes from all of the Challenges.
  17. Someone posted that Pauly D and Vinny got more airtime than Dee during this episode and I legit cackled.
  18. If you ever told me before tonight that I would actually think kindly of Johnny in all the years I have been watching the Challenge, I would have died laughing. He still works my absolute last nerve but I did appreciate how he spoke to a clearly devastated Wes at the end. (Not going to lie, though, my first thought when he won was the words of John Lydon: "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?")
  19. Yes, it was Jenna's father who was in prison.
  20. That is Sam Bird, Kailah's new boyfriend. He was on Love Island in the UK and most recently on Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love here in the US (Georgia's ex, they met while competing on Love Island).
  21. Looks like Callum and Georgia may have called off their engagement.
