  1. I am watching this with headphones while my husband is watching something else. I am laughing my ass off and he wants to know what is so funny. How do I begin even explaining this? I can’t.
  2. “Bad illusion of state”
  3. He’s arguing with a complete moron. He needs to cut her loose now.
  4. She’s “swollen” ???
  5. These lying fucks. They think Dr. Now is stupid.
  6. What a waste of his time. She took a spot that some more deserving person could have used.
  7. If she enunciated her words properly, she could probably burn a few extra calories daily.
  8. I love how all these patients think they can outsmart Dr. Now. As if there is any excuse for a 28lb weight gain. Anything less than admitting you ate like a complete pig is not going to fly with him.
  9. Dr. Now is over it with the bullshit.
  10. I was busy and couldn’t join in this live chat until now and there are already 10 pages of comments...I am flustrated that I won’t be able to catch up on all the chat.
  11. One of the drawbacks to joining in on the discussion late. I had figured maybe this stuff had been discussed at some point already, but when I read that page (on my iPad I was able to close an ad that was in the way just by clicking the x in the corner but on different devices I am sure the page works differently) I was just floored by how clearly it described her. I just had to share it. i have tried to get up to speed by reading this forum but was really only able to cover the current season’s discusssion so far. At the risk of sounding like some kind of armchair therapist, wow, she fits a lot of the descriptions for several personality disorders. i just saw the question on her “advice column” about her teeth...thought for sure she would have deleted the comment by now, LOL! ?
  12. I just saw this link posted in another forum and started reading it just because it sounded interesting. You guys, read the descriptions for “Histrionic” and “Narcissistic” personality disorders and see if they don’t describe Whit spot on: https://www.mentalhelp.net/articles/dsm-5-the-ten-personality-disorders-cluster-b/
  13. I just finished watching The Skinny and I was really frustrated with Whit’s whining about people on social media being “meeeen” to her. She claims that people are saying she “doesn’t deserve to live” and “doesn’t deserve love” because she’s fat. I give zero fucks how much she weighs. My distaste for her has absolutely zero to do with how she looks. I find her to be a classless attention whore who has wrung several seasons of a reality tv show out of nothing more than a YouTube video. Even though I am sure a lot of this show is fake and scripted, there seems to be enough real interaction between her and her family and friends to show that she is a pretty unpleasant human being. Get it straight, Whit. I don’t dislike you because you’re fat, I dislike you for being a manipulative, narcissistic, entitled, immature and unpleasant person.
  14. And she refused to speak to the drive through person and made Sarah lean over and yell her order at him. That’s beyond passive aggressive, that’s out and out aggressive.
  15. I just realized who Sarah’s mom reminded me of: Berta, the housekeeper from the show Two and a Half Men
  16. I am surprised that more people aren’t talking about the selflessness of the woman who volunteered to go home at the end “fake out”. First of all, it was a horrible thing to do to these poor people, all of them desperate to make it to the next round. But that woman offering to be the one to go home...that, for me, was heroic. Almost like throwing herself on a live grenade to save the others. She had no idea it was a trick, but she offered herself up so the others could continue. I was moved to tears. And I wanted to throat punch the idiot that came up with the idea to do it.
  17. If Kody just got a normal man’s haircut and a nice deep condition he would look so much better. The shaved part on the sides was a good start. Now he needs some kind of haircut on the top, short enough so he couldn’t make a man bun. I think it would improve his look a lot.
  18. During the game night segment, when they were talking about Kody’s dress code for his daughters, he said something like “there are body parts no father should have to see” and all I could think was “you had a ringside seat to your daughter’s cooter you hypocrite”!
  19. I refer to them as patients. Because besides being on a reality show, they are, at the core of this, patients of Dr. Now.
  20. She ended up losing about a third of her body weight by the end of the show, but she did not really look different to me at the end. I have noticed this with some of the other patients on this show too.
  21. Did anyone else notice Robyn’s goiterlike bulge around her neck? I especially noticed it in her talking heads so maybe it is a more recent development. But once I noticed it I could not stop staring at it.
  22. If Meri really wanted to get back into the fold and to stop the whispers and “judgement” behind her back, the first thing she should do is show a bit of remorse for what she did to her family. She needs to own her bullshit, ask sincerely for forgiveness, and give a real and honest apology for the hurt she caused to the rest of the family. It is really hard to stay mad at someone that owns up to what they did and asks sincerely for forgiveness. It would do so much to clear the air. Unfortunately Meri is so deeply lacking in a sense of self awareness of how her actions affected everyone else. She is so selfish and self involved she can’t see past her own fillings. She is incapable of having any empathy for how her behavior has affected anyone else. Her sense of entitlement to forgiveness-her feeling that she somehow deserves to be treated as if it never happened without doing anything to earn that forgiveness-is probably what is really sticking in everyone’s craw. If Meri had made any small effort to actually be honest about what happened, and if she also showed sincere remorse and humility, maybe some of this could have been healed over by now. But she is too arrogant and proud to ever show humility. What a pity. I think Christine would have met her more than halfway, but she seems unwilling to even take a step.
  23. Tamy’s Story was such a refreshing breath of fresh air. From her first consultation with Dr. Now where she accurately identified the problems with her eating habit, to the focus she put on helping her son instead of only using him as a slave, she showed a large amount of self awareness. I am really glad that she dove into Dr. Now’s directives with both feet and had great success. I hope she continues to get better. Can’t wait to see an update on Tamy.
  24. God help me, I will not be able to call that child anything else now.?
  25. I read some of the posts before watching the episode, and I was getting the impression from some posts here that they were going to take Ysabel to some alternative quack in the place of actual medical treatment, but in reality I pretty much agree with what they are doing. The brace isn’t working, surgery is not yet an option...why not explore other therapies that cannot hurt and have the chance of improving things? As for the ridiculous scar drama, I would be grateful for that scar because it meant I had access to the surgeons, facilities and medical equipment that could fix my problem. If she were born in an earlier time or a less developed country, she would never get the chance for the surgery and have to live with this her whole life. That scar should be looked upon with gratitude.
