  1. I agree. Her resorting to violence should have had serious consequences for her on the show. And I thought her “apology” was bullshit. Austin should have called her out about how badly she treated him after their hookup. He let that slide and she pretended as if he just started talking up another girl out of the blue. She let him go on and on about how he realized his behavior was unacceptable, but she never owned up to the reason why he acted out in the first place. She gave a limp apology for getting violent, and never admitted to her part in why there were bad feelings. She acted like the injured party with every right to be mad at him talking to another girl, with no acknowledgement that it was because she iced him out without explanation after their hookup that drove him to do it. What a complete b!tch.
  2. The fact that Hana was feeling guilty/bad about things shows that she knows she was playing games and let it get out of control. Unless something was cut out, she immediately froze Austin out the morning after their hookup, and Austin seems to have tried to preserve her honor by not admitting to sex in the interview afterwards, so I have no idea why she decided to be a huge bitch to him. I can’t believe the rest of the house didn’t see how she was treating him. He was obviously hurt because I think he really liked her, and didn’t understand her behavior. True, it was not cool of him to rub her face in it by talking up another girl, but that was only after several attempts to talk to Hana and she just ignored him. Her jealousy was unwarranted, and her violent reaction made no sense considering she treated him like dirt before this. She is an unhinged, manipulative game-player and would be a bad choice for a romantic partner.
  3. I am trying to understand how a suture gets popped...the stomach itself looks like it gets trimmed and sealed/cauterized immediately with that scissors type tool. The only sutures I see them doing are for the little holes for the instruments. This poor woman. Such a miserable childhood, and now to be fighting for her life just when she was about to get it back.
  4. I am still gobsmacked at the mother taking her daughter to the airport and just dropping her off there. Her mother would have to know better than anyone the limitations of her daughter. It would be like making a 10 year old move down to Houston by herself and figure out how to get around, arrange housing, etc. And she had her dog with her too! That was unbelievable.
  5. I know this is a petty complaint and one she cannot help, but her nasal, whiny monotone nearly drove me up a wall. Well, that and her inability to take responsibility for anything in her life. Also, when she was on her second go-round to lose 60 lbs, when she claimed to be doing everything possible to follow the plan, she couldn’t help but send Zowie (kerpow! thwack!) into the kitchen to fetch her a bottle of water. Old habits die hard. “I’m walking 10 minutes 3 times a day!”
  6. Honestly I was relieved that she found a plastic surgeon to do this surgery. Dr. Now might be a brilliant gastric surgeon, but his skin removals always look horrifying. From what I could tell, Tami’s result looks amazing.
  7. I don’t know how June has managed to raise 4 strong, independent daughters with the totally crappy upbringing they have had. June has thrown them over for any scummy man that looked at her twice. But despite this, Anna is a young mother smart enough and has enough self respect to cut ties with her mother even if it meant losing out on the reality show paycheck. Jessica has done the same, and is on her way to becoming a nurse, or at least that’s the last I heard. Lauryn has become an advocate for her little sister and has stood up to June in ways that take a lot of courage. Josh has backed her up and is showing that he has great strength of character for such a young man. And Alana just wants to be a happy kid who has crushes on boys and is exploring her talents, but the ugly specter of June and her messed up life is ruining her childhood. I feel nothing but empathy for those girls, and nothing but contempt for June who is allowing all of this to happen.
  8. oops, never mind. I see someone else said what I was going to say upthread.
  9. But...why didn’t they go back and get that mattress? They pulled over right away, so it wasn’t that far bacK. The two helper guys who packed up all their stuff could have walked back and retrieved it, no? They should be glad that it didn’t cause an accident. Someone could have easily been killed if that suddenly flew into their vehicle on the highway going 70mph. The whole mattress situation was frustrating to me.
  10. I would have to agree. Alejandro singing “Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word” was really heartfelt. You could tell he was really feeling what he was saying. Even after the song was over, he never smiled when the judges talked, he seemed to still be feeling the song. The other contestants don’t seem to be able to connect with the lyrics. i don’t know what has gone on in Alejandro’s romantic life up to this point, but he seems to have experienced some deep heartbreak. His performance of his original song was...wow. Gripping. I know it is a singing competition, but those lyrics were really amazing, as was his piano playing.
  11. If they did a reunion show, instead of couches they would have to have a warehouse full of beds on wheels since a lot of the poundticipants this season could hardly even bear their own weight. A lot of them are blurring into each other this season in my memory, but there seemed to be a larger proportion than usual of patients who were bedbound and hardly lost any weight. Edited to add: and if they did a “best of” they would for sure need to do that because Penny, Schenee, James K and Assanti are all still bedbound as far as I know.
  12. She actually has 2 different Facebook pages, and the one under Angela Dunham-Johns does not have the commenting turned off under one post, and she is getting HAMMERED by comments, especially since she turned off commenting on her GoFundMe. I am wondering how long it will be before she starts locking down her Facebook.
  13. I love how she kept manipulating people by implying that they had to help her to save her life...and if she didn’t get the help that she would die. As if that was a bad thing.
  14. The fact that the previews called this episode “the most dramatic transformation this season” when this season also included Justin...I am not buying it. I wasn’t that impressed. The only time he actually achieved a weight goal when living at home was when he had to lose another 25 lbs by surgery day and he beat it by 2 lbs. Oversold and under delivered on this episode.
  15. She probably thinks Dr. Now is going to dust the pizza box for prints.
