  1. Yup, I dunno, somehow being gay I don't think was even tangentially the point of the SL with Kurt intervening with Maggie and her daughter. I'm amused because the hackneyed outside person reconciling an estranged Parent/Child is such an over used, worn out narrative device in SL's in TV's, plays and movies, that I could see others issues with simply the sentimental cliche of it all. Yet to connect that to gays suffering being "superior" is bit too much projecting for my taste. Another thing I liked about the episode was that Artie was a supporting character to the Mercedes/Sam story in a funny, non "bromance" shit kind of way. He wasn't the focus but he played a part in scenes that I enjoyed, and it shows that a writer can care for characters even when they are not "leads". Even his "I'm right here" when he's being discussed was amusing.
  2. I actually find the Kurt/Burt scenes entertaining because there is a give and take, Even in the recent bashing Burt chewed Kurt out for impulsively running in and thought he was being careless and stupid.. Kurt gets snarky with Burt sometimes and Burt gives it right back at him.
  3. I wonder if Artie eating the dog treats was Kevin improvising ? I loved it! ETA; I forgot how Kurt paid the price for being wrong about Brittany and the Student elections. Brittany was right, he was wrong. There goes his sainthood! Poor boy.
  4. Doubt if Kurt and Finn had hardly anything to do with each other after season 2. Though I loved their brief interaction in The Breakup right before Finn left the loft. They seemed like two "brothers" comforting each other, it was nice to see. Alas far too brief exchanges until the end.
  5. I still can't get over Ryan Murphy and "voice of reason" in the same sentence. Too funny.
  6. Funny I didn't hear Finn being labeled "St . Finn " and he was pretty much the Glee patron "saint " of unsolicited condescending advice and intervention, especially with women. Advising Santana in Coming out in IKAG dragging the whole friggin Glee choir to help him, that was beatification at its best. Though dragging Rachel to go see a paraplegic football player to teach her humility was a close second. Hell compared him Kurt is small fry; surprises me why the nickname " Pope Finn" didn't stick.
  7. Wow so I guess referencing your characters life experiences is a no no. Sure seems he offered his advice and was fine with the daughter initially rejecting it. Maybe it's me but Kurt telling Maggie's daughter he lost his mother at the age of 8 wasn't the equivalent of saying " screw you, I've suffered more than anyone in the universe so you must do what I say". The projected anger is amusing to say the least. People offer advice all the time, people can accept or reject, that's how those things usually work out. Obviously something hit home since the daughter went to the performance. Btw the daughter in essence threw Kurt out so I don't see how her agency was stripped from her by talon like angel wings. I get that everything was too patly resolved but nobody held a gun to the embezzling and bitter daughter's head. Was the advice unsolicited, of course. In human existence and especially in Glee, Kurt is hardly the only character to do that. Finn was quite a "leader" of that "manly" trope.
  8. "I don't get how being a nice guy in general, despite some heavy setbacks and heartbreaks in his life I might add, brands Kurt a 'martyr' or earns him the nickname St. Kurt so easily." This a thousand times. Funny he referenced his own life experiences and with the loss of Finn it certainly makes sense that loss of family would resonate with the character. He told Maggie's mother he lost his own mother and for that the sainthood projections are off the charts like a pack of Pavlovian dogs dragging a Rachel though the streets of New York. I must say that little black dress Rachel was wearing was darling! Thank God indeed for underwear.
  9. Eh someone who engages the Klainer tween girls on twitter 24/7 could be sincere I suppose, though delusion as sincerity for Joaquin is highly overrated.
  10. Eh from the previews this episode will be easily surpassed next week with stupid plot and cheap twists. Was surprised that Chris has been the only writer in over a year to give Sam a brain. Praises for that.
  11. Have to keep reminding myself he's only 23.
  12. Santana as a publicist has so much potential. Her attempts to "redeem" Rachel were hilarious. Alas. Farwell Naya and fly free!
  13. The depths that man will descend to to embarrass himself impersonating a teenage Klaine shipper is awe inspiring in a roadkill by the side of the road kind of way.
  14. OH sweetie, yes there will be. And "angry Lesbian bloggers" references to boot.
  15. Oh that is definitely coming for Season 6. If it results even in a single episode SL arc for Kurt independent from Rachel and Blaine I'm on board. However it will lose impact if they have to hire new Noobs and their faces we are not familiar with. Doubt they will retain the old Noobs as regulars for a one shot redemption.
  16. We've already been previewed yet another Blaine song spoiler groveling that they are soulmates, alas. Ryan Murphy your "voice of reason" wants them together, and so the character of Blaine will attach himself to Kurt and not let to. Poor Kurt, let him fly free!!
  17. Those teenage girls tweeting for that eventually must be as imaginary as the sun coming up from the East each morning. As to RM being the voice of reason, I'm sure what looks like his Rachel reality show will be similar as extending the Blam/Mckinley school year which drove the show into the ground resulting in the buck naked exit of the Noobs to the point that even their naysayers (like me) felt bad for them for how much their patron saint La Murphy discarded them. Sam/Cedes separation drama? There is no "there/there " for them to already experience separation angst but this is RM, "I must separate couples" Baroness shtick. Same old, same old.
  18. That has to be the most unhygienic restaurant ever: people dancing on the counters and being puppy central.
  19. Actually Kurt was wrong in his dealings with Elliot assuming he was out to sabotage him and even had to apologize. As far as Rachel and Blaine, well yeah, they're usually the fuck- ups when in dynamics with Kurt, but it could just be because , well, because they are major fuck-ups with him. It's hard to expect them to win the prizes and acclaim all the time and be right , still I wouldn't mind Kurt being a major asshole if he got an actual storyline on Glee and won something.
  20. Eh I think it's the Rachel reality show; one of the synopsis said her friends weren't happy how the writer was portraying them. So my guess is it's a scene from the reality show and basically a meta knod to the Blaine Stans who wish feverishly he was bi or turned straight.
  21. Since Rachel was a bitch this episode wasn't that much of a leap.
  22. " I really loathe it when Kurt gets all self righteous and martyr-y like that. " Please, everybody on Glee lectures everyone else, so fucking tired that only the Kurt character is labeled or called self righteous. Artie schooled Rachel and Rachel schooled Jane in the last few episodes among others and yet they are not self righteous, whatever. Chris picked 3 out of the 5 songs (including TMHT) so not too shabby.
  23. To show how Chris really "gets" it: insidetv.ew.com/2014/05/06/chris-colfer-glee-writing-kurt-series-finale/ "Do you have in your head a happy ending for Kurt? What do you envision for him at the end of the series? "Unless they plan a complete U-turn, I think he’ll definitely end up with Blaine, but I think a lot about Kurt, ever since we were introduced to him, is him trying to find happiness and validation from an outside source. Oh, if I have a boyfriend, it’ll validate me. If I have a best friend, it’ll validate me. If I have a leading role in a show, it’ll validate me. But I would really like, before the series ends, for him to find the validation within himself and for him to realize that happiness is going to come from him, not from someone else. That would be a happy ending for me."
  24. Doubt very strongly if FOX will allow Chris to make only intermittent appearances on Glee every so many X episodes. FOX holds his contract, not RIB. IMO He'd actually be in a worse position than someone like Jane Lynch, who is a regular but is usually used as a guest star but she has enough planning that she can do outsides gigs, including movies and a game show, between Glee appearances. She had one appearance in the last 7 episodes of this season. His character is integrated too much with others (Rachel and Blaine) that they would make him do even cameo appearances which would negate being able to do outside gigs. Hell he still has to wait on the book tour schedule because it depends on his Glee filming in July.
