  1. This last episode didn't make any sense. So they catch Joey. It looks like they were in court session while that happened (because during the questioning it sounded like they have to "get back to the session". Anyway - So then the Judge meets with Jimmy at the scene of the crime (and I suspect that's not super close to court). Only to then go back to the court house and do the Joey thing. What is wrong with them anyway - not treating Joey's injury at all? That seems like that wouldn't happen. And then since when does the Judge bring a canteen of water to and from the chambers to the court room, for the witnesses to drink? None of this makes any sense.
  2. Nothing in this show makes sense. What was up with the COVID changes, with 1 juror wearing a mask, but nobody else? How can the son of a judge just willy nilly attend the proceedings, especially when nobody else is allowed in, really? How did the search show up on the phone? For Baxter to be this mob boss extraordinaire, he's super sloppy in what he does. I guess the whole thing is somewhat geared towards "you could never corrupt a judge, this is what happens if you did" but come on, now, it's so far from plausible at this point, it's insane.
  3. This show has so much fluff. It's incredible how they can fill 90 minutes with banter. The fights are fun, though.
  4. PREACH! It's not edgy. It's getting boring the more you do it. I agree that a show about the cutthroat business side of the finance industry could've been super interesting, in a "let's see who the biggest b*tch is" kinda way, but it got distracted by lame attempts at being edgy. Same goes for the death of the one kid. It's hard to feel anything for any of the characters, because we barely know any of these kids. And none of them are really likeable enough to care for.
  5. Always good to see Berlin. Her complaints about getting to work were so dumb. Potsdamer Platz is incredibly well connected by public transport. As long as you're near the U2, or a train station, you're golden. I was surprised that they showed different areas of Berlin, usually people gravitate towards a particular Kiez. Vietnam. Jeez. that guy was a trying for the Vietnamese version of Jersey Shore. What a pompous all-about-image douche.
  6. I feel like the overuse of sex and drug scenes really cheapen the show. I think there's something there to be told about this industry and world, but I have my doubt that grads are going full on debauchery every day. It seems like they're doing coke and booze 10am for breakfast, and then have quickies at tea time. A bit much and unrealistic, I suspect. I also have my doubts that this group of young people are all screwing each other, but maybe I am just too far removed from that generation by now. As it stands, I am not sure what they are trying to tell here. If they want to go full on "the finance industry is an industry full of macho sexists guys" then sure, go there. But the drugs are distracting from this, I think.
  7. They will definitely sell blue macarons at Galaxy's Edge in the parks, won't they? This felt like such a (dare I say) forced commercial drop for the parks. :D
  8. I am kinda annoyed with this show. They make it really hard to like any of these guys. I understand their egos were probably to the moon since it was such an elusive group for something nobody has ever done before (and it shows in regards to drinking, sleeping around and all that), but I'd think there had to be reedeming qualities in all of them. I also find the story telling to be slow and somewhat boring. I am still in it, because I find the topic itself interesting.
  9. I like this show so far. The thing I am enjoying is Nicole's clothes in this. I feel like it's perfect bougie New York outfits that she wears in this. The character loves that green robe jacket apparently. :D
  10. I felt like she was coming out as trans in that commercial, which also perfectly fits the narrative that they are showing, so I was a little confused. And hey, I'd be all in for trans-positive commercials, it's just odd how this one came out as not being that. Can we talk about the John Goodman commercials? The one for that slot machine app (where he's a thumb)? and then theres another one with him. Someone needs some paychecks apparently.
  11. This is back with 2 new episodes tonight. Both on Maui.
  12. Not a tax person, but I think that only works if you rent it out?
  13. This season has been rough so far. I agree with a lot of the posts in this thread. Gaetano is super distracting. His acting is distracting, his crazy eyes are not working for me.
  14. She's awful. This show is such a train wreck and I watch it because of that. I skipped the stupid baseball stuff. Nobody cares. I find it amazing that they double down on throwing Donovan under the bus. This is a team effort. Ignorance is not bliss for this. That condo was very hit and miss for me. That master bath was insanely busy and ugly for me. Why did she do 2 different countertops in the kitchen? What's the deal with the walnut veneer kitchen cabinets and the black build in right next to it? I suppose the curved bookcases in that bonus space were meant to somewhat riff of the staircase, but I felt it didn't fit the space at all. As for the cabinet. Jeez.. Stop painting stuff black. Good thing this is a condo, or else the whole building would've been at risk. This condo being on the market for 1 year. She's paid $32k+ in HOA fees alone for this one sitting there unoccupied. With that kind of HOA fee, I think it'd be next to impossible to maybe do this as a rental or Airbnb type deal either to at least cover some cost. The way the talks to Ari should make him not take new jobs from her. I suspect the exposure on this show may have helped his business enough. Run, dude. Run.
  15. Holy moly. That house is gaudy. It starts with that sea urchin lamp in the dining room. Interesting note, the realtor is not the one she uses for the flips. It seems like he doesn't perform well for what she does, considering Berenice is still on the market with a lower price. She's losing money on that one.
  16. I am surprised to see that her own house is neither painted white nor black. If she moves the whole production to Vegas, I hope she'll cut the dark colors out completely. The tacky style does kinda fit for my perception of Vegas, however, so that might be good for her?
  17. One thing I noticed more this episode: It's obvious they are filming multiple houses at the same time, with the same talking head set-ups. If you watch out for "Checking in [Name of Project]" and it happens All. The. Time. Like... this episode is focused around this house, we don't need to know that after every commercial break.
  18. True, true and true. She is so predictable. I think her style is tacky, but at least she did add curb appeal.
  19. Why is everything black in her designs? Black, and gold faucets. It's ugly. That house looked so depressing on the outside. That (arguably cool) stained glass in the entry way was kinda drowned out with all the darkness in my opinion. Also, who on earth thinks a putting green is a cool idea for a backyard? Especially as a flipper? I can't with this one. She's also free of any guilt, of course. It's all the other guy's fault. He doesn't communicate.
  20. Room inside a room is pretty common for drum studio spaces. You want to isolate the room that has the drums from any walls, so that you minimize sound travelling.
  21. Yes, he commented multiple times that he is happy to have an audience (but also complained about the audience). This episode was annoying. He's really on a downward spiral of being a cranky old man. Constantly interrupting his female guest (whom I generally agree with). His issue about the white woman posing as black (and soe Ding a good chunk of the show about) was insane to me. This seems to be incredibly rare. He then low key compared it with being trans (you know because people can now decide their gender and pronouns). For someone who likes the ganja, dude needs to chill.
  22. I also think they installed the string lights wrong. Usually you install them onto a metal wire/rope to take off the slack of the wire itself. Not sure why they didn't do it here.
  23. The layout and location of the tiki bar was terrible. The "customer" side of the bar was raised up, giving people the experience of bei g 10 years old when going for a drink. I also feel like tiki is not really matching the retro theme well. That wallpaper is hideous.
