  1. I'm so happy to read this! I can't stand that obnoxious brat but I kept reading here about how great and awesome he is and I wondered what I was missing. Stassi went on Tom and Katie's honeymoon?!
  2. I keep reading here that Brittany deserves so much better than Jax but I'm just not seeing why. She seems so empty headed and its not like she has a bright, shiny future ahead of her that Jax is ruining or something. I just don't see how she's so great she deserves better. She's also the least attractive of all the girls. The stupidity is very unattractive as well.
  3. I think I found my contractor today. I'm still going to have the other estimates done this week but I think I'm going with this guy. He listened to what I wanted, brought the appropriate samples and he hates open concept as much as I do. He was on the expensive side but it will be worth it. He brought his dog with him and the dog was a border collie so I took that as a good sign. He left the dog in the truck but I insisted he bring him in and told him if I hired him, I would require the dog to come every day. ETA: Sorry, I know this isn't a peeve but it was a continuation of a peeve so I hope its ok.
  4. I don't watch the show much, I mainly just read this thread. Do they really shoe favoritism to North? What do they do? What ducky people they are.
  5. Yes! They kept talking about resale value and the next buyers. I plan on staying right here until I die so I couldn't care less about what the next buyers will like. When we go, we're leaving the property to our kids, they already have it worked out that my son will buy out my daughter and he will live here. Even after telling them that they still talked about resale value. @riley702 it was so irritating. I'm usually nice to people who come to my home like that, I offer drinks and even food if its lunch time but I hate to say that I was rude to a couple of them because they just wouldn't listen to what I wanted. It was like they had an idea of what I should want and they weren't going to stop until I agreed. Needless to say, I won't be using any of those places to redo my kitchen. I have a week of estimates still ahead of me.
  6. I didn't know if this should go in the home improvement thread but I'm peeved about it so I'll put it here. We're having some work done on our kitchen and have had 7 companies come out in the past week to give us estimates. Every single person walked into my kitchen and the first thing they all said was "we have to knock down this wall" that separates my kitchen from the living room. We only use the back door to my house, its just easier to get there from the driveway and garage, if anybody ever knocks in the front door I know it's somebody wanting to sell me something or save my soul so I never answer it. Anyway, the back door leads directly into my kitchen. Every contractor said that if I take the kitchen wall down I can see the entire house when I walk in the door. Why would I want that? They say my view is beautiful and wouldn't I like to see it when I first walk in? No, no I wouldn't. I like walls and distinct rooms and separation, why do people think removing walls so their whole house is one big room a good thing? To each their own I guess but I hate this trend. I was just shocked that every damn one of them said the same thing then was surprised when I said no. Another thing that they all did was try to get me to choose white cabinets. I hate white kitchens. On the phone I told them all that I wanted dark wood shaker cabinets but instead of bringing samples in those areas, they brought one wood sample and 5 white ones. I love warm colors and natural wood, brick and stone, to me that's nice and cozy. I will never ever redo my beautiful natural brick fireplace but every contractor that's been in my house has wanted to tile it for me. Why don't these people get it that everyone has their own taste and preferences and not everyone follows trends? It just seemed like they bought a bunch of materials that fit the trends and wanted to sell them to me. I blame all of these house flipping shows that have the same design in every single house.
  7. When my brother married his first wife she had a daughter named Nakoma (RIP Naki) and my brother was on her school contact list. She got sick at school one day and they called my brother's work and left a message that his daughter Nakoma was sick and needed to be picked up. The secretary called my brother and told him his daughter was in a coma and he had to get to the hospital right away.
  8. I recently dropped my cable because they raised the rates and I refuse to pay over $200 a month for TV. I got a smart TV, added Sling and haven't regretted it once, I was shocked at how inexpensive smart TVs are! I had never heard of Vice or Viceland until I got Sling and it has very quickly become my favorite channel. I love that they show the dirty, nitty gritty stuff that other channels are afraid to show. Of course now that I've found this thread after looking for days, I can't think of any good examples of those shows. I think my favorite is Needles and Pins. I'm happy I found this thread. I have been looking everywhere here for anything about the channel and finally saw the network talk forum and voilà, here it is!
  9. Butt Liquor had me laughing so hard, the cat got scared and jumped off my lap. My kids did that to me years ago, we had just gotten our first computer and I had no clue how to work it. There was a little virtual pet gorilla that they downloaded for me and the damn gorilla called me butt licker. Not knowing how the computer really worked back then I had no clue how to get rid of it. So far, I'm LOVING this show.
  10. You can't see or hear me but I'm applauding you right now. I couldn't agree more. She absolutely 100 percent brought this on herself and I feel no sympathy. What kind of idiot posts pictures of herself, states the value of the ring she's wearing then says she's all alone!? She may as well have sent a written invitation to the robbers. What kind of idiot has to announce how much her jewelry costs? They may not have faked the robbery but with the publicity its gotten, I bet they're thrilled it happened.
  11. Well at least he switched it up a bit in the last episode. We got two "you know what I mean" before he went back to "you know what I'm saying". Its nice to know he has some range.
  12. Its never been proven that has Maggie's biological father either. Everyone just assumed it.
  13. Riggs definitely looked better with the scruff, I completely agree with you @John M. Are the writers of this show so bad that they have to recycle the same exact baby plotline for Owen with this marriage too? If they wanted to have the same baby issue again, at least give it to another couple. I'm sorry but I just can't stand Maggie and I don't care about her mom. I'll probably skip next week.
  14. @JTMacc99, that's how my Kaylee was. She would sprawl out on the kitchen floor and she was so big that it was hard to maneuver around her. She had the perfect knack for lying right in the way, no matter what I needed in the kitchen, she was lying in front of it. @Jaded, you brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry you're feeling such turmoil, I wish I could help you. Please feel free to vent here any time you need to, the people here are so great and they've all helped me in so many ways. Sending good thoughts to you and your baby.
  15. Come on over, I'll give you a piece of watermelon candy. After hearing about it on the show, I had to try some so when I ordered my usual smokable stuff, I ordered some watermelon candy along with my chocolate bars. It just tastes like watermelon Jolly Rancher with a nice kick. I've had 7 surgeries in the past 3 years, I have bottles and bottles full of prescription pain medicine. The marijuana helps a lot with my pain and its SOOOOO much better for me than the pain medicine. Marijuana isn't physically addictive like pain medicine. It should be legal everywhere and alcohol should be banned. @JenE4, what I didn't understand is how the other poster could say Tom's brothers were "on the spectrum" without ever having seen them! I hate these days how anybody who doesn't appear "normal" is "on the spectrum". Sometimes weird is just weird, quirky is just quirky, not everything needs a label.
  16. I was in Border Collie heaven today. I saw doggies of all shapes, sizes and ages, from 4 day old puppies to great grandma doggies and I had to stop and love on each and every single one. My favorites were the older (5 to 10 weeks) puppies. I went in and sat down and instantly had puppies crawling all over me, I was so happy that my brother said my face was lit up like a Christmas tree I had tears rolling down my face. I picked out about 17 puppies that I wanted, I narrowed it down to 4 boys. I could have chosen an older puppy that's ready to go now but I wanted a little more time. The ones I picked out range from 4 days to 2 weeks. I'm leaning towards one who is 2 weeks tomorrow. He has the greatest markings and as soon as I picked him up he peed all over me. My brother said he marked me for when I come back. I'm going back in a month when they're older so I can see more of their personalities then I'll make my choice. Heading to the pet store in the morning for puppy supplies. My list is a mile long already and I'm not done yet. I love shopping for puppy supplies. @shanndee, I hope your baby girl is ok. I second Riley, please keep us posted. As long as she's eating, drinking and behaving normally, well normal and cats don't belong in the same sentence, I wouldn't worry too much. Best part of all? I walked the whole ranch with just my walker! We took the wheelchair but didn't even take it out of the truck.
  17. I think it should be against the rules for one team member to finish the other's food. If they can't handle the eating challenges, they shouldn't come on the show. It just doesn't seem fair.
  18. I'm sure nobody will see this because the thread is dead now but I'm just catching up on the episodes. Why were Lance and his mom allowed to keep cooking after the time ran out? It should be like other cooking competition shows, if the time runs out, you're done. Has been Brandy and her never was brother make this show unwatchable. Do they think the idiotic things they do are cute? They look and act like ridiculous children.
  19. Ew. Laurel could do so much better than Nicole. Johnny was right, she looks like Andy Dick in a wig and her personality isn't any better.
  20. Anybody who says a man/their man wouldn't look makes me laugh. Just like parents of teenagers who say "MY child would never do that". If she's going to display it, people are going to look. Anyone with half a brain knows if you wear a very short skirt and no underwear, stuff is going to show.
  21. Kate Gosselin used to be number one on my list of people on TV that I would bitch slap if I ever saw in person. Disgusting, smug, desperate UGLY outside and in Rinna is now in that top spot. Erika cries for her son every night? I wonder how many nights he cried when his mommy abandoned him to search for a wallet to marry.
  22. So Tom openly said he doesn't have a job and he said it with no shame or embarrassment?! Wow. I will never wrap my head around able bodied grown men who don't work. Where I come from a man would be ashamed to not have a full time job. These morons seem to take pride in it. I'm sure they only film a few months out of the year so what does he do the rest of the time, sit on his ass while Katie goes to work? I would never even consider dating a man with no job, let alone marry the loser.
  23. I'm sorry but I had to laugh at the poster who said something about "pot brownies". Edibles have moved so so far beyond brownies. I have lollipops and chocolate bars that I get from the dispensary. Edibles come in all forms these days. I still prefer the old fashioned way by smoking it in my purple bong. As long as I live, I'll NEVER understand why alcohol is legal and marijuana isn't. Alcohol destroys families, destroys careers and destroys everything in its path. Marijuana does none of that. A poster in a previous epispde thread said that as the mother of a special needs child she could tell that Tom's brothers were on the spectrum without them ever appearing on screen. Somehow that turned into a fact.
  24. All I've heard about Tom's brothers being "on the spectrum" is a speculation made by a poster which was based on never even seeing them.
