  1. BooksRule, (I love your name and agree that books rule!), I have the opposite problem. I've been trying for a few years to gain weight. If I gained 25 to 30 pounds I would be thrilled. I never have an appetite, ever, I'll look at the clock, see that it's like 7 pm and realize I haven't eaten all day. I just don't get hungry. I hate when people say that I'm "lucky" and they wish they had my problem. Yeah, its really great to have strangers yell at you to eat a sandwich, be accused of being on drugs or having an eating disorder. Yep, I'm lucky. People always say that all I have to do is "eat more and move less" and I'll put on weight. I counter with, if its that easy then why can't people who are overweight just eat less and move more and lose weight. It's not that simple either way. I've been on both sides and for me its harder to gain than it was to lose. All of this to say that why can't people just mind their own beeswax?! If you don't want the damn cake why can't people just accept that and move on?
  2. I mainly like Bill for his sense of humor, but I do agree with you about him. I think he does bow down to her too much. I think the real Jen is a control freak shrew to be honest. And that damn laugh she does after everything she says drives me up the wall.
  3. Oh wow, the Cagney and Lacey reference reminded me of how I always wanted to marry the character named Isbecki because the last 5 letters of his last name is my first name. I always wanted to be Becki Isbecki.
  4. Well, E! is the same network that brought us the Kardashians. And they now play the shows with that horrid family 39 times a day every single day so they don't have much taste over there.
  5. Damn, I was Xmas shopping today and missed what she said about Cynthia. Her views on marriage and relationships are twisted.
  6. Doing the Lord's work, that's awesome for an atheist like me!! Lol. I'm sharing it right now. I just didn't have the heart to tell the girls last year that the teacher doesn't want a mug with candy in it or homemade cookies. It was their kids first year in school so they were proud of getting them presents. I'll let you know the response it gets. If anybody wants to share it is that cool? I don't have many people on my Facebook at all, I rarely go on there but somebody may want to share it.
  7. I stand corrected on the baby name. If its a family or cultural name, that's completely different. It just seems like some parents put letters in a hat, pull a few out and try to put a name together with what they have. Thanks for the Fetty Wap education. Rap is totally not my kind of music so I had never heard of him.
  8. That's what I thought too, it sounds like a suitcase. These poor kids with these names these days, holy crap. I had a normal name but spelled with an I instead of the traditional Y. It made me feel different and I hated it. What are parents thinking with some of these names?! I've never understood this "we're going to name the kid this but call them that". Why not just name the kid the same name he or she will be called every day for the rest of their lives? To me its different than a nickname, a nickname is something that just kind of happens, but I don't get planning one name but calling them another. Am I just old? Monagatuna, what in the heck is a "fetty wap"?
  9. Demented Daisy, I'm so very sorry. Nothing I can say will help your pain but please know I'm thinking of you and Loki. Please come here if you need to talk. Hugs to you and your baby.
  10. Is this show coming back? I remember after the adoptions they said they were going to do a few episodes so everybody could see the kids and see how they're doing, then they were leaving TV. It made me sad when I saw it coming back for season after season. I guess the nobody is immune to the fame whore disease. They don't need the money so I don't understand why they're doing this to their kids. Nothing I've seen on TV pissed me off more than the episode where they adopted Zoey. This poor baby was absolutely terrified and they allow a camera man to shove a camera in her face while she's sitting there scared and crying. It made me so sick to see that that I had to turn the channel. They seem like good people. I adore Bill. Jen is OK I guess but I don't think the Jen we see on TV is her true self. There's just something about her that I can't put my finger on. I wish there was a law against kids being on reality TV. I think we're going to see a lot of problems coming from the kids who grew up on TV. Imagine your first day of high school, its a scary, nerve wracking thing. Now imagine walking into the high school knowing that all of the other kids have seen you being potty trained, having tantrums, being punished and every other moment in a kids life that should be private. How do you teach a child about strangers when everybody you see knows your name, your siblings names, your parents names, your pets names etc etc. I just don't understand why parents who supposedly love their kids would do that to them.
  11. I had read that the witches coven was going to be on. This group of whiny, screechy man haters is why I didn't watch Teen Mom 3. I couldn't stand any of them. I read that they were pissed when the show was cancelled and they blamed the cancellation on the other girls for being too boring. They expected to ride the show to fame and fortune and the rug was pulled out from under them. I thought it was hilarious. I wonder if Nova has taken their "men are evil" class yet.
  12. That's what I think too. He capsized and when he called to her for help, I think she either just sat there in her kayak or paddled far enough away that he couldn't get to her.
  13. See you in a day or two wings! I finished it last night. I kept saying just one more page and then read until I was done.
  14. Oh, ok. I get it, thanks. I kept rereading the sentence and just didn't get it. I almost felt too stupid to ask.
  15. How did I miss that Vee had the baby?! They had a girl right? Do you know her name?
  16. Where is the picture where Kristina looks joyful? I've scrolled and can't find it.
  17. When I was reading your comment I was thinking "I bet she still has that cookie jar".I loved the school field trips and parties. I always signed up to make cupcakes or whatever was needed and loved going in to help with the parties. On field trips all of the kids wanted to be in my group because I was "the fun one". Some of the best memories my kids have of me is me in their classrooms. I miss it so much. I wish I could do that stuff at my grand daughter's school. Teacher gifts are totally optional auntlada I promise nobody will think badly of you or your kid if you don't bring one. I'm confused about a section of your comment that says "except, of course, the year I had my mom for reading", I know I'm just reading it wrong but what does that mean?
  18. stewedsquash, that's so sweet. What was the cookie jar in the shape of? SunBun do you mind if I copy your post to put on my Facebook page? A lot of my daughter's friends are on my Facebook and they have young kids. Last year so many of them were talking about the mugs and cookies they were giving to their kids teachers. I wanted to tell them last year that those are the kinds of things teachers hate, but I just didn't have the heart. I gave my son's first grade teacher a card with a hundred dollar bill in it, she pulled me aside after vacation and thanked me, she said she loves that they care enough to get her anything but if she got one more mug or one more "Best Teacher" plaque, sign, sticker or magnet she was going to scream. After that, every teacher got the same thing and they all loved it.
  19. My daughter and I were texting each other throughout the movie laughing about how bad it was.
  20. Oh OK...I thought she was getting married a year from now on Gary's anniversary. I'm dumb.
  21. I think I'm the only person in America who has never had a coffee from Starbucks. I don't drink coffee now but I used to drink it like my life depended on it but I never had a desire to go to Starbucks.
  22. This is getting ridiculous. Who friggin cares what color the cup is?! Instead of christians saying its a war on Christmas, how about they have the mindset that saying holiday instead of Christmas includes everybody? I'm an atheist but my family celebrates Christmas, I don't care if somebody wishes me a Merry Christmas, a Happy Holidays or Happy Hanukkah, the sentiment is the same. People are too damn sensitive these days.
