  1. I agree, especially when you compare the jasam scenes where Sam is feeling guilty and Jason basically shutting down the discussion to his conversation with Carly earlier this week. You can’t even argue that Jason isn’t supportive anymore because we see him do that in scenes with Josslyn, Sonny, Michael, and especially Carly all of the time. It’s just Sam where he can’t be bothered.
  2. The slow-motion of Alexis dropping that coffee cup was a choice. I thought they were alluding to something life threatening, not osteoporosis. If it’s just a paid ad, they’ll drop it after a few episodes like they did with Anna’s blood disorder. Weird timing though given what else is going on with her character. They likely didn’t have a choice but it would have made more sense to do this before killing off her bf if they couldn’t do it with another character.
  3. I think when you’re doing a dark story with heavy focus like Mike dying, you should balance it out by making the rest of the show lighter and more fun. This is where the show has lost me because the only fun story right now is Robert/Olivia in Monte Carlo. Other that that, what do we currently have going on? Alexis grieving a bf and people worrying about her relapsing, Dante’s PTSD, BL’s recovery and her possibly losing her singing career, the hospital employees losing their jobs, hours, stressing about finances, Ned fighting with his wife and daughter. It’s all too much and especially worse given what’s going on in real life. Now more than ever, people are looking for comfort TV and this show isn’t providing that.
  4. I can’t remember if they interacted onscreen but they lived in town at the same time and were close to some of the same people. He’s Lulu’s brother and was friends with Johnny Z who Olivia dated for bit
  5. I liked the Ned/Alexis scenes but it was a little jarring since Ned’s pretty much been a jerk to everyone else. I’m wondering if it’s just to give another reason for Ned and Olivia to fight when she comes back. That he can be a supportive friend to Alexis but he wasn’t there for Olivia when she was having issues dealing with Dante.
  6. He does. During the showdown with Valentin, Michael mentioned that Liz gave him Jake’s proxy for the vote.
  7. Leo’s tied with Donna for the most pointless kid for me. LLC was basically a day player at that time so there was no need to write in her pregnancy. There was no real story even involved unless you count the ripoff of Kristina’s paternity lie with Julian playing the Sonny role, which was even worse the second time around considering they had Olivia fake the kid’s death and then there was no fallout when everything came out. At least we hardly see or hear about the kid.
  8. Is Olivia a sub in for another character in this story? I don’t mind the scenes with her and Robert but her inclusion in this is so weird. Not to mention her choosing to stay away from PC when her and Ned were already fighting. Leaving town because of Dante made perfect sense but this caper doesn’t. It’s not like she can actually help anyway.
  9. LW has a few tics herself that EM has picked up on in my opinion. I hate when she does the Carly jr act.
  10. I know I was supposed to find that touching but I didn’t. Not only because this was the first time she has referred to him as such but this is a soap. Most of these characters have lost their grandparents and even parents at an early age. I feel like they keep trying to make Josslyn’s life seem sad when she’s been comparatively blessed by a large family and extended family who are always there for her. I just find myself compassing her to someone like Liz who had absent parents for most of her life or other characters who had a truly tragic childhood.
  11. I think the problem is that the show thinks we should automatically agree with the Corinthii so they don’t bother to even make them reasonable.
  12. I’m annoyed that they keep having characters like Liz or TJ parroting that it’s not a big deal and Cyrus was being evil for what he did. Michael saying it is one thing but they should know better since they are in the medical profession themselves.
  13. Man they really worked overtime today to give EM an Emmy reel. I usually have a high tolerance for this show but even I had to ffwd those scenes after the first couple. That was terrible. I don’t get the point of fantasy scenes normally but if you do them, at least save them for something fun like unexpected characters hooking up. These scenes just reminded me of that fantasy episode they did where Oscar’s cancer was cured. They aren’t interesting and Mike should have died 2 years ago so them endlessly prolonging the scenes have made me stop caring about the SL.
  14. I really didn’t need an episode with Bobbie, Carly, and Joss. They’re all insufferable and neither apple falls far from the tree. With Joss, I can’t tell if she’s actually interested in Cameron and jealous or if they are trying for a Jarly type friendship where she wants to be the most important person in his life. Either way, she was annoying today.
  15. I got the impression that Jordan already suspected Cyrus but she didn’t want Alexis to know. Hence why she was pushing Neil being depressed and doing drugs. Makes me feel extra bad for Alexis if that was the case.
  16. They’ve been taping really close to the airdates since the show has come back. I think they’re only 2 weeks out right now.
  17. It might have also gotten dropped because of Port Charles. At the time, they were still debating which couple to use to anchor the spin off. It was between Kevin/Lucy and Ned/Lois.
  18. I’d prefer Sam just say that she didn’t care what happened because her getting angry or upset about it now just makes her look like a bigger idiot. She’s selfish either way so it would be better to just own it. Voting proxies have no inherent value so what did she think he was going to do with them? It’s not like she could wave it off as a possible investment like she could have if she sold the actual shares.
  19. I wish she did as well but I knew the conversation would go like this when they waited until after Neil died to have Sam tell her the rest of the story. They started talking about it last week before he died and Sam was evasive and changed the subject. After having Alexis talk about how she regretted wasting time because she was worried about their careers, I didn’t see her turning around and telling Sam that she was wrong. Even though I don’t find their situations comparable since Neil and Alexis’ choices only affected them, the show does.
  20. Agree. I’m going to scream if she doesn’t go and stays in town to throw a dinner party to celebrate the Paxie baby. If she doesn’t go, at least have it be some kind of set-up for Alex to show up and switch places with Anna. Anna needs something, anything, that isn’t talking up Peter and Finn because she’s become unwatchable to me.
  21. Lol I wasn’t. Jason is even worse because he gets the writing for one but his character is literally a mob hit man and anyone who has ever called him out for not being a good guy gets villainized.
  22. Lol at least DZ had the decency to beg for his job back. BC hasn’t changed much. Carly’s other kids are duds, at least Morgan had a personality and was a screw-up so that’s something. Not enough for me to want him back but I know others feel differently. They need to seriously trim down the cast if they are bringing anyone else back though.
  23. Mary Sue characters are a hard sell on soaps. It’s hard to be seen as anything but boring when you never do anything wrong and everyone talks about how amazing you are. I’ve only seen it work with actors who have a ton of charisma to overcome that. What should never be done is to put 2 of these characters together and that’s what happened with Millow. They both need a vixen, villain, or gray character to work off of. Add in that I’ve never found CD to have romantic chemistry with anyone and the Willow actress is kind of a cold fish and this pairing is a disaster for me.
  24. Are we supposed to find Cyrus evil for firing Monica and Bobbie? Any hospital in the country would have done the same thing if this were real life. In fact, I can fanwank that the only reason nothing happened to Monica originally was because ELQ was funding GH and they didn’t want to jeopardize that.
  25. I’m not either but I heard it’s only for one or 2 episodes and it’s pretty much just with Robert away from PC. Ethan was always a throwaway character for me.
