Willow hiding the cancer diagnosis now that Michael knows and she’s started chemo is one of the dumbest plot point. The only purpose behind it is to protect Carly. Like how exhausting would it be to constantly hide how you’re feeling? All that does is ramp up the stress in her life.
-
Michael and Willow? I don’t think they did. They had a weird convo a few months back about getting married but it was never mentioned again. I recall Michael mentioning all of the toxicity he witnessed between Sonny and Carly growing up and him selling it like a plus because he wanted a relationship just like that. It was bizarre. I think Michael randomly brought it up again recently as well. They haven’t said why they haven’t remarried, other than the show doesn’t care all that much.

What were those Sonny and Valentin scenes about? Not only was it such a random duo but I couldn’t tell at all who they were talking about. It’s clearly not Victor

Tbh I can see why Nina sees Willow as selfish in regards to Sasha. As far as she knows, Willow is out there living her perfect life and has still hardly been there for Sasha while she’s been struggling. The last scene Willow/Sasha had, she apologized for not reaching out so we know she was mia the entire time after Brando died. The audience knows she’s dealing with cancer but yeah, it’ll make you like self involved as hell when no one else knows what you’re dealing with.

I was premed before changing my mind and from what I remember, the sequence would take a minimum of 5 semesters due to certain classes that have to be taken before others. Then you would take the MCAT and then apply to med schools at the start of your senior year. I guess she could still do it but she’s probably have to take a gap year and wait to apply after finishing her bachelors. Of course this is GH where Emily made it through med school overnight while also going through constant drama so I guess it’s a moot point.
-
Is that true? I didn’t know that because it definitely wasn’t the case at my school. I don’t think you were required to declare until your second year but most entered college with some major declared and the more selective programs (business and engineering at my school) restricted how many people could apply into them so people tried to get into those schools as soon as they were accepted. However, pre-med wasn’t a major so adding or removing that distinction was simple. You didn’t have to do it all since the only real benefit was that the advisors would ensure that you are completing the required courses to apply into med school along with the ones for your actual degree but those are easy enough to look up on your own.

Speaking of that, Willow hiding that she has cancer is another annoying plot point. They are clearly just doing it to shield Carly from blowback for continuing to hide who her mother is and to elicit sympathy for Willow on days like today when Nina confronts her. I can already see the barrage of comments towards Nina for daring to say anything to Willow while she was battling cancer.

The interactions between Nina/Willow/Carly are too forced for me to care. No, I don’t buy that Nina would immediately think to show up at Willow’s house and ask her to help Sasha with decorations over literally anyone else. Also, why does Willow always escalate matters rather than just responding she doesn’t feel well and close the door? And of course Carly shows up at the end because why not. I’m annoyed by all 3 of them.

Yeah but in GF and her husband’s case, he was already a star when they got together. I think the issue tends to be when both are soap actors and one later on makes it big. There’s almost always an expiration date on those couples.

IMO Chase and BL never had romantic chemistry. Friendship chemistry, yes, but romantic chemistry, I only saw a spark between the Chase and the temp recast BL.
-
Today was much better than yesterday. I love that the Robert/Holly stuff was a ruse and Felicia was helping them. Was this ES’ final episode? Chase dumping BL was gold. Hope it lasts because she was exhausting today

I like most of Sam’s outfits since she hooked up with Dante but I’ve noticed that she looks very out of place in group settings. All of the other women are mostly casual or at best slightly dressed up but Sam is always in her fanciest dress, heels, hair that looks professionally done, and heavy makeup. She gives off a very ladies who lunch vibe.

I didn’t disagree with her there. The readers will quickly lose interest so if the story isn’t done within a certain timeframe, having that exclusive with the police is useless. Jordan was likely BSing about releasing new not known details considering she said today that she wouldn’t give out sensitive information because of how it would affect the investigation.

Olivia doesn’t strike me as the type to order a cooked Turkey instead of making one herself but I guess she doesn’t want to waste her time when she knows it probably won’t make it. Chase and BL are terrible together. I want to hope that Chase will one day realizes he deserves better than someone as spoiled and selfish as BL but he’s too dumb. Sam and Dante bore me to tears but their natural chemistry today against Carly and Drew’s is like night and day. Carly and Drew are definitely at the top of my worst couple on the show and there’s more than a few stinkers. Considering CM is the king of Hallmark movies, you’d think he’d be able to sell sex appeal, flirting and a romantic connection better than whatever this is. LW also seems intent on matching his lame, dorky energy in their scenes together making them a total cringefest. I also don’t understand them “hiding” their relationship when they are still around each other nonstop. I can’t even call it forced angst since it’s changed nothing between them. You’d think Kristina would be at Sonny’s with both of her parents there. Sam and Dante’s kids being at the Qs but entirely offscreen was weird as well. I guess only Leo gets to eat with the family since Wiley was MIA too. The Brando/Sasha flashbacks felt super random. I have not thought about Brando a single moment since he died and Sasha is barely on the show herself and when she is on, is miserable about some thing or the other. When did all of those happy scenes occur?

Unpopular Opinions: "I hate BLTs from Kelly's!"
ffwbe replied to LeftPhalange's topic in General Hospital
I wish they would retire the Quartermaine thanksgiving. Them having their dinner ruined and having pizza became played out after the second time they did it. Also, Michael, Drew, and BL don’t even come close to bringing the entertainment value that Edward, Alan, AJ, etc did. Ned was always more of a straight man and no longer has the more interesting Qs to bounce off of. The only interest I had in it was if Monica and Tracy were there but seems they’ll be MIA.- 2.6k replies

I’m already so annoyed so I’m dreading the next few months. It’s insane that she’s already known this secret for 6 or 7 months. Now she’s going to attempt to sabotage Drew’s investigation and waste everyone’s time. I’m sure once she finds out about the cancer, she’ll first try to manipulate Nina into donating without telling her why and only tell the truth once Willow is on her deathbed and it’s the only way to get Nina to donate. And her Tony Robbins impersonator bf will still act like she’s the paragon of honesty and hasn’t been lying to his face every single day while feeling zero remorse. What exactly is the point of her big revelation in Jacksonville because she’s just as terrible as ever and clearly only cares about her own mother/daughter relationships, not anyone else’s. I’ve said in the past that I dislike Willow and though that hasn’t changed, this story should be hers and Nina’s. They have their own relationship and conflicts that have nothing to do with Carly. Yet Carly has more POV and focus than either of them in this story just so she has another reason to feud with Nina. If there was any character who needed to be rested, it’s Carly because she clearly don’t care to give her her own SLs but will unnecessarily shoved her in other people’s stories when she adds nothing.

I don’t who was more blind about their partners today- Drew who said Carly is honest to a fault or Chase having no clue why BL wouldn’t write the letter or tell him about it. Those 2 are firmly in himbo territory

I hated a lot about Alexis’ lung cancer SL but the show at least made the effort to show her visibly sick and struggling through treatment for months and made it clear that she couldn’t work during it. They also had her dealing with the difficulties in maintaining her appetite and trying to be there for a young Kristina, who was scared of losing her, while simultaneously struggling with parenting her because she was so sick. That’s miles above what they’ve done with Willow, who was able to successfully hide being sick for months and will probably continue to hide it through chemo. I’m sure she’ll somehow continue to be the best nurse and mommy ever and not show any visible side effects from chemo.
-
I assumed it was the show making an excuse for why the kids are offscreen. They’ll probably be playing upstairs in the Q mansion the whole time their Thanksgiving is going on and now we have a reason they aren’t at Sonny’s place either
-
I thought the Dante/Sam/Alexis scenes were cute but KM makes awkward pauses/inflections and drags out the dialogue. I don’t know if she’s struggling to recall her lines but it’s incredibly distracting.
-
I didn’t see TC’s Nikolas as a bad father, as far as soap fathers go anyway. Spencer was spoiled and over indulged but he and Nikolas had a close relationship. His main black mark was when he had that brain tumor and was willing to die rather than getting treatment. Other than that, I wouldn’t consider him any more absent than any of the other soap parents were supposed to believe are good parents. Of course that changed when he “died” and stayed away
-
I am going to laugh when she suddenly turns on Willow the minute she starts liking Nina, which we know will happen even though they have no reason to get along. She’s definitely going to run around town telling everyone that Willow is an unfit mother and Wiley is solely Michael’s child.
-
Joss is trash and I’m sure her cheating will get exactly as much calling out as her big brother’s did unfortunately. Olivia continuing to side with everyone over her husband will forever be grating. Though I don’t get the angst behind Carly/Drew’s relationship when it seems like everyone will know and they are still around each other in public as much as they always were. Sonny’s non reaction was funny. Carly clearly thought he would be upset and hiding the truth behind why she called Brick was beyond pointless.
-
Not only that, it’s her mini me. They couldn’t even make it someone who would potentially expose her or take an issue with them being involved. They are allergic to any real drama when it comes to Carly yet won’t allow us breathing room from her boring and repetitive SLs

Why can’t Sam just ask Dante what happened? This sudden hand wringing about her investigation makes no sense to me. Nor is Sam judging Cody for being a con artist considering her past. I already bet whatever he and Dante did pales in comparison to her past.
