Axe throwing is actually a fun indoor activity that a lot of people do now. Couples, friends, etc. It's not creepy, it's a just activity

I have seen it done on a hometown date on The Bachelor! can't remember which season.

    Future Deja and Annie!

Kevin proposing to Madison with his hospital bracelet was sweet.

Really, Jack, drinking on the day your kids come home from the hospital and making Rebecca—who’s still physically and emotionally recovering—drive home? Yikes, dude.

I know Kate is hoping Hailey will know her birth mom, but it’s been like two days. Give Ellie some time to process.

If I just gave birth and my husband was asking me when we were having a third kid I’d take the car keys and he’d be walking home.

I loved Kevin's proposal to Madison, but I was a bit concerned that he didn't say he loved her.  Just that he wanted them to be a family.

I gave away my Birkenstock’s long ago.  I thought I was in Holland wearing wooden shoes.  Now it’s Sketchers, in every color.  No more designer bags too.  Coach, etc.  I do love my Dooney & Burke “Haunted Mansion” one tho.  That’s a keeper.  Now it’s Vera Bradley light weight crossbodies.  Comfort when you’re old, not style.  Just sharing, lol.  Old lady talk. 😀

You know what trips me out about that? Other than it being dumb as hell. But why would Chris have unprotected sex with her knowing he’s not attracted to her and could potentially create another life with this woman he doesn’t even like. Wild.

I think Chris gets off on spreading his seed and replicating himself. He said in one of his very first interviews that he wanted a honeymoon baby.  Has nothing to do with the container of the seed (his view of women). He is clearly a manipulator of the first order who also enjoys women fighting over him.  He was smiling through the whole conversation with Pastor Cal.

I just don't get why would anyone would wonder if that was Bri's child instead of her mother's though. That seems like an absolutely bizarre assumption. If her mother had Bri when she was 13, she'd only be in her 30s by now, which is a totally reasonable time to have a baby, and didn't Bri tell Matt that her mom had recently gotten married or was in a serious relationship and starting a "new" family? And I was going to say as well that while there's no one singular pregnancy look that every woman necessarily has, Bri's mom looks more like someone who's recently had a baby than Bri does.

    13?????

  6. After this episode I am really struck by the very high level of macho across the board with this season of MAFS.  When Ryan rather sanctimoniously told Clara (and it clearly wasn't the first time), to keep her mouth shut and she looked really hurt, I felt bad for her.  This rhetoric she was parroting in her talking head after that moment of wanting your wife to be "her best self," which I have seen on other reality shows involving couples, to me is code for "control your wife to meet your expectations."  I have more sympathy with Vincent but I think he would be less aggrieved by Briana's bossiness if he didn't interpret it as "disrespect."  Then we have Eric who thinks men and women can't be friends.  I get that he was defending Virginia's honor at the dinner, but he did so in a very macho way that just set the equally macho Chris off even further.  The least macho of them all is ironically enough cave-man Jake, who I feel really sorry for.

On a much more minor note: Chris's rhinestone "C" necklace is tacky and would have worked better on "Sex and the City."

His relationship advice book had a rule about holding off on sex for 90 days. I don't think a whole Bachelor Season takes that long to film. His commentary on Fantasy Suite Week would be interesting, to say the least...

I like this idea! and he wouldn't have to announce the winner.

I found this episode highly unpleasant to watch.

Kevin thinking that his ability to be a good father is entirely dependent on getting to the hospital on time? Groan.

Kevin once again tossing aside his career, and screwing up a bunch of other people's professional lives, so that he can fulfill his superhero complex? Groan.

All of the fakeouts with potential car accidents, following up to a cheap "he wasn't in an accident at all" twist? Groan.

The writers trying to make a "boomer fails at technology, ha ha!" joke about Rebecca, who has dementia? You get the picture.

I don't think Rebecca's mistake was a joke, I think it was a reminder that her mind is going.

Katie wore a down puffer coat for her romantic date.  l like her more now.

Katie also wore a rumpled loose mockneck sweater that completely concealed her assets.  A little cleavage might have saved her.  In an interview before her date, Katie said that she was a "good person" and that's why Matt had picked her.  She seems to have been under the illusion that women on the show are chosen for their virtue and moral fiber.  This would explain why she was also so invested in ratting people out.

I hope you did not take from my post that I have any beef or negativity toward the deaf community.  I understand many of the struggles, as well as the conflicts between proponents of ASL vs speech/total communication.  I volunteered at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in high school.

    Very sorry about your cousin.

On the first evening, Abigail told Matt about her and her sister's congenital deafness, the cochlear implants, etc.  So, Matt already knew about that, and had also, that first night, given her tons of assurances that her deafness and the potential for deaf children was not a problem for him. The sob-story about being afraid her husband would leave her was just extra.

what was unclear to me about Abigail's story was that it sounded like her father left because they got implants--so are we to take that to mean he left because he was proudly Deaf/anti-implant?  At first I thought she was saying to Matt that her father left because she and her sister were deaf, so she was scared he would leave?  which was it?

She said you called her a ho.

Well, that was taken out of context...

What context exactly would calling someone a ho be acceptable?

    ..........um......

When Victoria went into the restroom and was obviously talking so that her words would be picked up by the sound crew and broadcast, who in the restroom was she talking to exactly?

So now she states that she is the only worthy one and if Matt chooses someone else then clearly he has a problem and is not worthy of her. And thereby establishes her superiority over all the others in the face of possible elimination.  And also establishes herself as unstable and spoiled rotten.

As I recall, she also said she was the only one in the house with a brain!!  this jives with Matt praising her in some interview for her "quick wit."  A real Oscar Wilde, that one.

Ana and Victoria already got the boot so suddenly MJ needs to be raised as a villain for the 2:1. Thankfully she “bitched it up” in record time to have Bachelor Nation root for Jessica...whoever the hell she is.

I think MJ is guilty as charged!! her stank face and bitchiness in the aftermath of the new girls' arrival were a close second to Anna's.  Victoria is in a class by herself.

Which one was discussing masturbation?  Somehow I missed that.

Edit:  I should have known it was Chris.  He really thinks he's hot.  His daddy looks like a balloon.

His father was worse than he was! his conversation with her about her wifely duties was something out of The Handmaid's Tale.

Random thoughts.  Do they bleach all their teeth or do they get veneers?  Because all of their teeth are perfect and shiny.
Why do so many past and present huff and puff to show how nervous they are.  Sarah did it several times when talking to Matt and he did it during the rose ceremony.

Her puffing was driving me nuts!!! When he opened the door to her in their last conversation she puffed before she said a word. She sounded like she was in labor!!

Anyone surprised Victoria's name was the last one called for the group date?

    Yeah, me neither.

I hate to rag on someone's appearance, but Victoria is really common looking.

It's almost like they advised her to look as terrible as possible!! at the rose ceremony she wore NO MAKEUP from what I could see.  And that dress with the ruching and the visible black bra straps and the slit in an odd place and the terrible print and the puffy sleeves was an abomination for the ages!!

I like Sharleen, I do read her blogs and appreciate her writing style and fashion insights, but it is a fact that she's made a lucrative career from being a Bachelor insider. Also, though I'm sure she was a respected singer in the opera world, being on the Bachelor definitely raised her profile. She may be higher-class, but she's benefited as much as any Bachelor Nation influencer.

this is 100% accurate.  I think her recaps are extremely thoughtful and smart, and I like her too.  But she is an influencer, marketing fashion and cosmetics, and making a pretty penny.  And yes, she is still a little smug and superior.

Did Chris say he wants a submissive wife?  That could be a problem.  He also wants 7 kids to build his empire.

Yes.  I was ready to bail on him, but then he talked about having been homeless, and having learned from his dad to work for everything, and being self-made, and I felt a bit more sympathetic.   He also talked about child-rearing being about replicating himself. He seems very sex-obsessed and wants to get his wife pregnant on the honeymoon.  I am hoping that his match, whose name is escaping me, feels destined for what he has planned for her.
