All the plastic surgery talk is way off topic but did want to mention MBE/Kayla’s rl husband is a plastic surgeon in LA and very successful. That always tickled me since they got together very young and she’s aged gracefully or without any drastic work, which is his life. It’s shows they really love each other. The actress who plays Kate and the one who plays Gabi and KD/Eve are endlessly fascinating in rl too. 20x the opposite of their characters. Someone speculated why Kate is still on and I have to guess it’s the same reason Jennifer and Hope are on, the brass like the actors. LK talked often candidly about her kids or dating and being nervous and insecure; one very endearing story was how she always wanted a pony growing up so for Christmas morning “Santa” got her daughter a pretty pony and son a rugged one and her daughter grabbed the rough and ready one and son fell for the cute gentle one & I completely understood what it felt like being a mom wanting to give your babies all you dreamed of and kids surprising you and it being such a humorous joy and better than anything you ever wanted. CB/Gabi has been leading free salsa classes online during the pandemic and sharing recipes as wholesome as can be. KD/Eve - I personally know people who she’s quietly paid for their college tuition and she’s never mentioned that publicly for clout or ass pats. I don’t know if she knows at least one she paid for went on to be a college professor and paying it forward. I do see DH’s work when she smiles or reacts her eyes get small or face stiff and it’s hard to see the emotion. I don’t know a lot about this irl but I think in some case like the Hunter Tylo one mentioned when someone already has great features, like etched cheeks and full lips and they want to “enhance” what is already phenomenal or the surgeon is stupid it goes wrong. I was very close to someone who had high cheekbones naturally and got fillers and it looked ridiculous like way too etched. I feel like an asshole for even typing that paragraph it’s so superficial. back to show! Someone’s working tomorrow. George will be doing one on one activities with residents in the morning. 💪 The ones he’ll be doing playtime with are really excited. One is a 97 year old blind woman who works out everyday and told me she always had dogs and Yorkies, she’s the shit, a couple have autism or severe depression. Later after we leave he has a vet appointment so he’ll be exhausted by all the activity and excitement by nightfall. He’s gone to another AL community a few times before without me for visits -someone I know grandma was in one and he would socialize in the common areas with the other people and then cuddling with her in bed until she passed away. Her last words were saying she saw her deceased mother in corner holding a pail of water and greeting her then she asked “where’s the dog?” They are still protesting here and lots of businesses are closed and of course we have a curfew. One of my coworkers got a warning for being out before curfew driving to work at 5 am. There was looting by my other coworkers house in Waukegan (which almost all the places are mom and pop and meager besides the legal offices (it’s home of the always busy lake county courthouse and jail, this is the one I went to for my car jacking hearing).

Shits pretty crazy here. Besides the curfew, they shut down public transportation, and leaving the city or entering it is limited now only to residents or essential workers and places in the nearest burbs also enforcing it and closing early. CVS which is 24 hours 365 has closed and blocked its windows in places even 30 minutes out of the city. Northbrook Court and Old Orchard which only opened yesterday at noon already are closed mid day and have cops protecting the closed entrances for looters. For context these places are not in city limits but affluent suburbs. I went to Jewel (a grocery store) and a woman stopped me in lot and told me to hurry and grab what I could they were closing immediately. This shit is no joke. I’ve been watching so many live streams and feeds on the ground in respective cities and Chicago but now they’ve almost all stopped due to scramblers. On a more positive note I helped make some nice moments today with residents. One I’ve been making ice cream deserts from scratch but sugar free or “nice cream” another saw her grand kids and daughter in person (from a very large social distance and allow wearing masks) on our lawn. When I mentioned it was now a possibility (since we’re in 3rd phase) her granddaughters lit up like “we REALLY want this!” and when she came down and I told her she can come outside and visit w them at distance tears came to her eyes... she told me they don’t have PPE I said I gave them fresh PPE it’s been 2.5 months and she’s very hard of hearing so talking even at a distance and in the sunlight was better than phone via window or FaceTime. I visited with a resident in her condo and met her cat. She had an issue with her food order so I brought a new dinner to her and we visited a bit. I think actually the person who gave me her order messed up but she has v early onset dementia and I’ve learned this is important because it can make people upset, doubt themselves, or fixate on these things later on. People who’ve had these things happen later on fixate on food issues or slights and the memories are valid but each time thereafter it recalls the emotion or is triggering from what I understand so should be avoided. One resident I’m pretty close too and care for a lot who is in a decline repeats a routine with her eating each day multiple x so probably early on something happened where someone forgot her preference because she has anxiety over it a lot or is re-experiencing it.
