  1. No "reality tv show" is worth leaving your baby so soon, just to have televised fights with your "best friend of 30 years." It's not even good entertainment for us viewers, because we don't get what the bleep this fight is all about. I understand why MJ would be upset that Reza didn't visit her at the hospital, but I'm confused about the talking behind Reza's back and why that would upset him so much- isn't that something that everyone does on that show, especially Reza?
  2. I used to like Nema, but I have definitely lost respect for him by watching the way he carried on this week. Most people have baggage from their childhood and I applaud him for seeking counseling, but seriously? He witnessed an armed soldier while living in Iran for 9 months. What about the kids that grew up there (and other similar places) and witnessed that and worse every day of their lives? Or kids who grew up with no parents? He has two parents that love him, so give them a break and open your heart, Nema.
  3. I thought Jonny's dress was way too similar to his winning dress from a few episodes back (the Beetlejuice nightie).
  4. Although I like Jonny, I feel that Megan would have really brought some interesting pieces to the finale. I've checked out both of their online stores and his is really not inspired (I'm trying to avoid saying "boring.") I also liked the fact that this show could have really helped Megan start her own line, which the other contestants already have. The judges were split between the two and I would have loved them to inch over in Megan's favor. I'm glad Sander will be in the finale- for color, interest and creativity!
  5. Except now the hotels have the white sheet under and over the blankets and don't use bedspreads any more, for the most part. I think the birthing center should rethink their bedding look to be more up to date with the current style. Even though it may be clean and sanitary, the "homey look," which used to be so desired, is turning a lot of people off, according to what I am seeing on this message board.
  6. I was confused about the runway show in the rain, as well. I wondered why they didn't put a cover over the runway. It was probably for the aesthetics of their location, but I'm sure they could have come up with something pretty. I felt bad for the models and audience. I don't know if the rain was warm- here in northern CA, we just get cold rains.
  7. I had the same thought! It was very colorful and fun, but I'm just not sure about the placement of some of the graphics.
  8. Oh, my, what has Kyle done to her face??? Major Uh-oh moment: when Kyle was told that the fashion show director didn't want to interact with her (deservedly so after the Kyle tornado hit the day before.) I thought the person who told Kyle this should have kept it to himself. Although, it did make for interesting tv.
  9. It's not just that they don't want to all live in the same home, they won't even STAY with the other families TEMPORARILY. When moving to Flagstaff and waiting for her house to close escrow, Christine went to a hotel rather than staying for a short time with Meri or Robyn in their mansions. I do believe Christine bit off her nose in spite of her face, though, because if they were all in the same home (humongous separate apartments within said home), she and her children would get to see their beloved Kody much more often. I get the filling he rarely gets to leave Robyn's compound.
  10. I guess, unlike Christine, she wanted the man, not the family!
  11. It was also in an article about the Tiger King. The author of the article interviewed Rick and got this and a few more tidbits. I looked for the original article, but now this story is everywhere- People, E! and Huffington Post, to name a few.
  12. There are so many posts and memes about casting for a Tiger King movie, and I believe some projects are already being planned. My question is: why??? We already have the documentary with actual footage of the participants. Having actors fumble through made up dialog would just muddy the story, in my opinion. I would much rather see a continuation of the doc series, with additional interviews, investigations into different aspects of the cases and updates.
  13. Too bad Lisa didn't employ the wood fire roasting method to her Brussel sprouts. I can't think of a better way to cook them. Re Jenn's cashew near disaster: why did Erik touch her burner at all? I know he thought he turned it off, but shouldn't he have left it alone and just told her about it? I'm glad to see she rolled with the punches and saved her dish. I don't like her personality from other seasons; maybe she has matured.
  14. Her jewelry probably weighed more than she did. I'm glad she didn't drown!
  15. I agree with you and I kept thinking that he should just do the looks he wants to do and not have a fit. The judges won't give him the win if one of the looks is not accessible for Amazon to reproduce. That would be his choice. If he doesn't want to compromise, he just won't get the win. The judges were just reminding him that his garment has to be able to be reproduced and sold, as part of the contest.
  16. Sam really was being repulsive. I thought the whole scene at the hotel was strange. She seemed to be running the show, ordering for him and all the waiters talking to her rather than both of them. I couldn't figure out why they had that large private dining room for just the two of them. But, thank goodness they did, since Sam was acting the fool.
  17. When thinking of this show in comparison with Project Runway, I can see a lot of great things about Making the Cut: location, time for designers, better finished garments. But, as evidenced by the last few shows, the drama is just not there. The designers already have fashion lines and we don't see the (I'm not saying "passion!") desire or ambition that the designers on PR have. An example of this is Esther going with all black again this time. She doesn't want to compromise her brand and she doesn't NEED to compromise. She can leave the competition at any time and continue with her business. Which is all fine, but doesn't provide the entertainment of PR, the drama, or the competitive snark of the contestants. In the past, after watching PR, I would want to rush to this forum to get everyone's view on what just happened and share my opinions, as well. With this show, I find myself without a whole lot to comment on and very little to read about here.
  18. I don't know...I find her car a refreshing change from the identical Mercedes that the others drive (does Mike drive a Hummer?). It has character and I think it's fun that she has so much love and passion for this classic car.
  19. Actually, I don't blame Joshua in this case for his response. I 100% believe they were going to cut him and they just wanted him to grovel for his spot. He realized that he was mostly responsible for the fabric choices and wanted his partner to stay. Usually, when someone quits on PR, I'm really upset with them because somebody else could have had their spot. But, in this case, I feel he just didn't want to provide them the drama only to be cut right after his appeal.
  20. It will - because they are going to Tokyo! 😉
  21. It doesn't seem fair to me to make the designers sew their entire garments after the premise of the show called for seamstresses. That said, for someone who "doesn't sew," Esther did quite well, in my opinion. There were a lot of seams in that dress! After seeing Troy's back story last week, I feel bad that he couldn't nail his design. I personally didn't like any of Will's designs, but I thought he was a super nice person. He was always so excited seeing his designs on the runway.
  22. Who thought it was poetic justice that the designer with the agist comment last week (Sander) was paired with the oldest designer (Sabato)? I'm glad they worked together well, overcoming some challenges along the way. Sander is obviously a more hands-on designer and had to do the heavy lifting.
  23. OMG! It looks like she went shopping for her "fabric" at the gift wrap section of Walmart. "Let's make a cylinder out of this wrapping paper and add a chic fringe look- never knew holiday tinsel could look this good! Oh, no! I'm out of staples..."
