  1. I believe the daughter wrote to Marcus after the mom "quit" and the daughter was left to sink or swim on her own. Who know what she said to her parents to get them to agree to have Marcus come in.
  2. I'd call her the Backstabbing Sister if I didn't already know that she was the Good Sister. I thought she thought she was too good for this show. Has Kathy hit rock bottom? She certainly didn't bring much in her time on the show this past season.
  3. I'm thinking that this is what Monty had been told when he asked where Kim was after the wedding. "Where has Kim been?" "Oh Monty she's in New York signing a book deal - for three books!" "It's been three weeks since I've seen my caretaker Kim." "Oh Monty, the most wonderful thing has happened. She's in New York because NBC wants her to star in a new show. Two shows. They want her for two shows. It's going to take up a lot of her time this summer. I'm sure you understand." Don't forget "America's Trashcans: the Story of My Spiritual Journey".
  4. Maybe Kyle's mantra has changed from "Kim and I are a package deal" to "If you fire Kim, you had better threaten to fire me too."
  5. There are two aspects to Kim Richard's life. One part is drug-induced train wreck, pure and simple. This is seen as those frequent, long bathroom breaks during filming, the arrogance and accusations against others, the delightful mixing of her meds, the slurred talking heads, etc.... The other part is training her dog, making 5 lbs of chicken salad with her hands for two kids going to the prom who just say "No thank you" to her, dusting pictures of her kids, praying to trash cans, speaking gibberish Spanish and thinking she's adorable, etc... The train wreck, and ONLY the train wreck aspect of her life, generates any interest in her. The Sober/Not Sober Battle has been going on for five years. If she doesn't want to get off that merry-go-round, I do. Enough. The other part of her is just "off". She's not witty, not funny, not adorable, not cute. She's just "off" and nothing about her makes me want to invest any more of my time watching. I am fine with finding out about her next arrest, her next rehab, her next court date from TMZ and not Bravo. I would like Bravo to provide entertainment.
  6. At first glance, this new place looks like an elegant vacation venue where Kim can "do some time" until she gets the all clear from Kathy to emerge. However, upon reading all the posts above it seems like Bridges is a psychiatric center with fancy window dressing. Maybe the high end trappings will lure someone in like Kim, who loves to be treated like royalty (Her Highness!) and will keep her there under pretty lock and key with a psychiatrist until real work is done. Maybe something different is finally happening with Kim. My guess on the family is Kathy said to Kyle "I'll pay for Bridges if you get her there."
  7. Unorthodox upbringing indeed. I have always been fascinated by Kyle's description of her having a casting call and having to drive herself at fourteen because Mom was busy elsewhere. I wouldn't have had the guts to do it. If the sex lessons and the Mom's Booth at the Polo Lounge aren't in it, I'm not watching.
  8. I guess the only news in this (because we knew she'd return to rehab at some point to make the judge think that she is working so gosh darn hard on her sobriety) is that Dr Phil is definitely not paying for this one.
  9. I believe the cover story for the sober companion was that he/she was Kim's pilates instructor and that's why they were there. I guess Kim and/or Kathy didn't want it widely known that Kim had a babysitter for the wedding.
  10. Oh My God - it's about Big Kathy! Will The Booth be in it?
  11. Kim's sobriety story may bring initial ratings but before long we will be back to the real Kim who is dreadfully dull and boring. Remember last year when her entire story line was her dog? (And that was before he had done anything "interesting"?) Interest will drop off quickly and people will go to TMZ for Kim news rather than sit through her portions of the show. She will probably continue to be a royal pain in the ass to the crew and co-stars and that alone could be a major reason to drop her without considering her other liability issues. I'm not one to say I will never tune in again if she's on or would fast forward through her scenes but I think I would be sick to my stomach if I ever saw her on-screen again proclaiming her love for her children or her care of Monty. Or all the hard work she has put in on her sobriety. Disgusting. As far as that goes, I'd say LisaR is a plus and Kim is a minus!
  12. Ugh ... Ramona. For everything Ramona does, I would watch her any day over Brandi. As far as the Brandi vs Ramona fracas, I believe that Brandi had Kristen Taekman on her podcast and they were discussing being out to lunch with Ramona and Ramona was very rude to the waitstaff. There may be more but that's all I got out of it. To my knowledge, Ramona has never responded to Brandi which is probably the best way to handle her.
  13. Kim is either going to enter a serious rehab facility or she will end up in an early grave. It doesn't really matter if she went right back to rehab or if she goes next week, next month or next year. Those are the only two options she is facing. What matters to me is what is Bravo going to do about it? I think it would be almost criminal to re-sign her. They would be a party to whatever befalls her. I would really have a hard time watching anything on Bravo if she is back knowing how craven they are.
  14. Thank you for posting this because I would never have looked at Dr Drew on my own. Dr Drew made two good points: 1) that Kim's situation is probably made worse by her physicians who are prescribing her anti-anxiety medication. Dr Drew said that, if that is the case, that means Xanax or other medications like that and Xanax = Not Sober! 2) if being on the show makes her worse, ie more anxious especially because she has to hide who she really is, then she should leave for her health. He also pointed out that Kim is an adult woman who can certainly choose to go but he has noticed that these reality stars never want to leave their shows. It's nice to hear him lay it out plainly. I have a new respect for Dr Drew and Dr Phil. Regarding Taylor, I think she can speak to the pressures of being on a reality series but I don't think that she has any current inside info regarding Kim. I think her responses about this season and the wedding were based on what she reads on TMZ.
  15. This one left me scratching my head. Tonnie certainly wasn't the worst owner; he didn't seem shady but he certainly was a know-it-all (just ask his wife or his sister). I thought for sure that the location would have been changed - certainly after the roof caved in. I don't see this as a good fit for Marcus but then again, I did not see the hair salon as a good fit either, and Marcus still loves it. If the store doesn't work out, the cupcakes will probably find their way to Crumbs.
  16. She's not missing; it says she is not answering her phone which is pretty par for the course. From the article: "It has been widely reported that Kim was so out of it at the wedding, she drunkenly began arguing and verbally assaulting the groom’s family , which led to her daughter vowing to never speak to her again." Maybe they were in her booth.
  17. Saying the Kim was the most out of it when she first arrived but wasn't too bad for the actual ceremony and reception is damage control? I guess that is as good as it gets for Kim. It states that Chad was out of it at the reception too. Don't follow Mommy to the dark side Chad! The article also mentions that there was a farewell brunch at a Mexican farm which sounds so lovely. I've been to things like that and it is so nice for the family to be all together again and to just relax and enjoy their last bit of time together at a beautiful setting. Kim was a no-show. I am now a 100% believer in the initial TMZ article complete with Kim cursing out the in-laws.
  18. I think you are spot on with this assessment. I think Kim not attending the shower and not being back in some kind of rehab lends more credence to the TMZ article on the wedding. It looks like Kim has some people that she would rather not face today. One bright note - Kyle is not by Kim's side. She's with the Good Sister.
  19. We all know where she will go - back to Kathy's. And since Kathy and Rick have to monitor their son on house arrest, they can't go off trotting around the globe. They will be stuck in a house with Kim - a monster that is partially of their own making. The gods are raining justice down upon them!
  20. My first reaction is this article is not true and they had it written before the wedding. There is no sane person who has gone through what Kim has gone through and would not be on there very bestest behavior at such a public event. (I know, what's wrong with me?????) But this is Rehab Kim 4.0 so anything is possible. And it would explain the mysterious Kathy SOS where she wanted Kim, Kyle, Paris and Nicki to call her. Monty seems to be OK. Does anyone have a feel for how reliable TMZ has been throughout our Kim Crisis? I (gratefully) read all the links here and I remember that some of them had mistakes and some outright lies that regulars on this board could spot right away. Was TMZ pretty good in their details or one of the screw ups? So sad for her kids if it is true.
  21. The Ho' in Cabo is right up there with Polka Night at Eileen's.
  22. Why all this emphasis on alcohol? I agree that it may be the least of Kim's problems. Paul Nassif's face said it all when he looked over the list of medications she was using then. And we now know that that list goes on and on. If Kim stopped everything else and continued to drink now and then, it would probably be a big boost to her system and add years to her life (and brain).
  23. "One of these things is not like the others, one of these things doesn't belong..." I got that vibe from the hair salon when it aired and from last night's show. I don't see how a hair salon is a good fit for Marcus and I never picked up on the "She's the hardest worker I've ever seen" picture that he's painting. I'm sure it was there but it didn't translate to my screen. I do know that the former general manager was not a hard worker. I'd rather see what Tabitha could do with this salon. Did Artistic Stitch get anything out of Marcus last night? Except for another endorsement of Sa'ls character. Once he found out they changed the name, started taking a salary and sold his printer, I thought Marcus was there to deliver a tax document and see the shit hit the fan, if possible.
  24. She was found by Bravo staff in the middle of the night. Either she was without pants or entirely naked on the bottom half. I remember thinking at the time that it couldn't be totally true. Little did I know.
