  1. No, it was Whip-Snake at the front and Grumpy Snake at the top. Ellaria will probably die at the hands of Cersei (and I'm very much okay with that).
  2. Yeah, the valonqar thing. But even if it weren't, we'd still have that whole "Jaime already killed a mad monarch who wanted to burn the city to the ground once" thing, which I'd be shocked if it's not going to mirror with "I'll burn the whole city to the ground if I have to" Cersei.
  3. Yeah, I'm also firmly in the Jaime-kills-her camp, but who knows? Tyene also lived (for now at least).
  4. I thought it was one of the Sand Snakes - not sure which one, the one with the whip I think.
  5. You're crazy ;) Seriously, she ain't going south. That path clearly leads north - it looks just a little bit more wintery there than the other route, but it's clearly a directing choice so we know where she's heading. Besides, Cersei isn't going to die that early in the season.
  6. Hot (Pie) damn, what a packed episode! And this was just the second... Was expecting Arya and Nym this season after the trailer, but it didn't go quite that well. Eh, she'll come around, it makes sense that she could barely even remember her. Episode MVP? Clearly Theon, can't say he didn't take the plunge for his sister. Okay, I'll see myself out....
  7. We don't know if they were actually reanimated beyond the Wall - I always thought they were like programmed sleepers, reanimated before and then simply pretending to be dead.
  8. So it seems Sam will have to find a cure - not that he doesn't have enough on his plate already (well, he probably won't have much on his literal plate after that lovely montage but I digress) but he's probably the best shot Jorah got. I'm curious what Sam will find - we had some hint in the trailer, but I'm sure there's going to be something unexpected as well as we're well beyond the books. Pretty damn good opener overall. Dany's return was simply great - no more boring Meereen stuff, this is what we all wanted to see and it didn't disappoint. It did look real dusty though, especially for a place that windy, but oh well, who cares. Is Arya actually going to KL to kill Cersei or did she just say that just for funsies? Because I certainly didn't expect her to go south, at least not right away. And Cersei's not going to die that soon, either, so I'd think Arya goes to Winterfell first.
  9. I had the same thought, clearly she must be making enough to hire more help. I'm not sure if Jimmy can work there officially, but even if he can't, nothing's going to stop him from helping her unofficially without pay (whether the Bar knows or not). She clearly fell asleep, which is why we didn't get to see what happened prior to the crash - Kimmy blacked out and so did the scene. I was just comforting myself "they're not going to kill her in a car crash" and the next second I see the airbags working - "nope, they're not". It was a close one, it'll most likely lead her to do something about the situation. Someone said Howard should offer her a partnership - that would be in the best interest of both, and Howard can certainly use the money right now. Of course that may not be what will happen, so we'll see. I was excited to see the Madrigal logo - and then Lydia working at a desk! I must be the only one, but I always found her fun to watch. I wouldn't mind seeing more of her or Madrigal.
  10. Ha, I was expecting the exact same thing to happen. I was actually a bit disappointed when it was only the battery. But that's fine, he's still (or better yet, was still) Jimmy McGill. Hopefully Saul Goodman will go in guns blazing next week. Yeah, HHM is pretty screwed. Howard knew it was a bad idea to let Chuck testify, but he also knew there was nothing he could do to stop Chuck. I thought for a second it would be Ed Begley Jr. so we could get a "oh shit, I'm screwed" reaction from Jimmy. I think Jimmy will get some sort of punishment, but it won't be too harsh - we're still mid season, so doing a time jump is more for between seasons and following a temporarily disbarred Jimmy around for a while probably isn't all that exciting. So I guess they'll just impose some conditions and put him on probation or something like that - which could make for some interesting obstacles for the rest of the season. Yeah, I groaned too and Chuck made it somehow feel like he was under cross examination already.
  11. Really loved it visually (no surprise there after watching Hannibal), but I went in completely blind (no idea what the book's even about, all I know about it is the title) and am hella confused. - I guess this is something like the American version of Norse mythology (hence the title), with actual gods and not just implied ones. So Mr. Wednesday and weird UFO guy are probably not exactly human. The Vikings at the start all got one eye poked out, so probably an allusion to Odin. Curious how they'll figure in later. - Shadow Moon is probably human, or at least was (not sure if he's dead and will be resurrected or simply ascend to some kind of demigod status or whatnot). Same for his wife, who'll probably be coming back from the dead as well - no point in casting someone like Emily Browning and giving her a series regular credit if her entire role is about two minutes of screen time, maybe half of that as a picture or in the coffin, plus there's the magic coin that got sucked into the grave. Just wondering as what both of them will be coming back - I can see a wide range of outcomes from as good as new and fully human to completely fucked up zombies or anything in between. - What the hell was that sex scene about? So she's a literal man eating sex goddess (or probably more appropriately, sex demon)?? Anyway, looking forward to the next one and hopefully some answers.
  12. I like it, but I think it's going to be more mundane - like Jimmy hating Chuck so much that he simply gets rid of the name. But either way, the whole Jimmy-changes-his-name-as-part-of-a-deal-with-Chuck idea seems more and more unlikely - I doubt Jimmy's going to agree to any deal now. So, do they steal the tape or tamper with it in some form (I assume where the real tape is was written on the piece of paper that Mike copied) or follow through on the "yeah of course I said that, to stop my brother from going crazy" defense? I guess the latter could still be an option, but the show told us "no, that's not what's going to happen" when they had Jimmy breaking in.
  13. I wouldn't even put it past Gus to have Mike observed all the time in addition to the tracker. We know how totally paranoid Gus is (and rightfully so...) and he doesn't seem the type to put all his eggs in one basket - doubly so when it's technology, which I guess Gus doesn't trust 100% to start with. So I can totally see Gus being informed about every little step Mike takes - and he'd have to be pretty impressed by his efforts, which is my best guess how the two got to work together. The other option is that Mike got a bit too close to LPH and that Gus has people watching out the windows with binoculars 24/7 checking every parked car etc. out of principle. Sounds a bit far fetched maybe, but this is Gus we're talking about, so who knows? Jimmy's hilariously incompetent spy impression sure didn't help any either.
  14. G&G also dropped a hint that we'll get another BB guest appearance. Who do you think/hope is coming back? I hope it's Gale and it should be possible: I'm not sure how long he worked for Gus before he met Walt and Jesse, but Gus did pay for his degree or something like that, so that had to be set in motion way before BB.
  15. Yeah, it has to be one of the two. Usually I'd say it's the latter, but Nacho was designed as a series regular and I guess it was with the intention of being the one who introduces Mike to Gus.
  16. It's about client confidentiality. The two sentences in are: "And yet, compliance with these laws does not negate our duty to safeguard the confidentiality of our customers. Mesa Verda employs strict procedure tor ensure that only relevant data is shared in order to protect the private, personal information that is entrusted to us." In this case, using a colon instead of the dash wouldn't really change the meaning of the second sentence through context - you could read it in the way that Mesa Verda only employs strict procedure to safeguard the confidentiality of their customers instead of having it as a general principle regardless (the reading the dash encourages), which doesn't really change much for the intented reader (who is probably a client of Mesa Verda and mainly cares about his privacy). Thus I agree with other who pointed out that Kim is just especially detail obsessed right now. Great catch! Yeah, I'm sure they put that in on purpose. Of course they could just get our hopes up to crush them in the finale with a downer ending, but if they're doing that, well, what can I do, they'll totally get me. That's absolutely plausible. They never spoonfeed us these things, we'll have to work it out for ourselves and it seems your conclusion must be the correct one. This is also one reason why the show moves so slowly at times - they have to give us time to figure out what's happening and what the implications are. I needed Mike to slowly take apart the car, so I could think about what he could do once he finds the tracker. Afterwards, we get confirmation in the scene with the I'm-not-Radioshack-guy and eventually see it all come together while Mike's eating pistachios.
  17. What? NO! Blaine works very well right now in his role as sorta antagonistic, but not flat out evil wild card (a bit like Spike in season 4, hopefully we'll be spared of the season 6 equivalent...) . TPTB will have to decide in which camp he falls in for good very soon I guess, probably once the amnesia arc ends - so he's either going to revert back to villain status and going out with a bang or he'll genuinely join the good guys, but hopefully no zigzagging. Whatever it is, Vivian will probably be on the other side, as they made a point of giving her a very personal reason to kill Blaine. I'd say the whole corporate zombie thing is probably on the evil side, but who really knows - the show usually isn't subtle when it comes to declaring who's on what side and so far we haven't really seen a lot of evidence for shady stuff. Maybe they're holding it back because we're supposed to not really know where to put them, much like Liv. Oh and then there's that island. Of course we'll never get to actually see it, but what we know doesn't sound all that evil either. And then there's of course the third party, Blaine's daddy. I'm hoping for a really wicked love-hate-triangle with him, Blaine and Vivian. Anyway, great the show's finally back. Lots of plot in this one so almost no time at all for the fun stuff, but I'm sure we'll get plenty next week. And hopefully Ravi gets back on track as well.
  18. I always thought it could be the bad place, but more Eleanor's personal bad place with full of really good, dull and boring people (in her view at the least), not this carefully orchestrated trap for the four of them. Loved how over the top the "I'll go! - No, I'll go!" game went and the whole "good place" was way beyond elaborate, those last twenty minutes were a pure riot. I also thought we's get to see the bad place (the version view saw a couple of weeks ago, which now kinda doesn't exist) next season, but I guess Schur could still go that route if he wanted. Eleanor and the rest don't know that it's not real (yet), so still keeping my fingers crossed.
  19. We also know there's porn and Janet has no problem providing it, so there probably aren't any restrictions.
  20. I was hooked instantly when I read about it a couple of weeks ago. Mike Schur's new show starring Kristen Bell and Ted Danson? No further questions. There's a Parks & Rec shaped hole in the TV landscape (okay, there's always B99) and if any show can fill it, it's this one. Curious about their plan going forward. Everyone's there for all eternity, so you can't really have have lots of guest stars (unless the place is a lot bigger and we just don't see the other inhabitants much). That's not necessarily bad, but how many episodes can you fill with just that plot alone? And where can you go once you told it? Then again, that's a problem you want to have a year or two from now and you could always introduce new stuff if necessary, maybe even move to the entire good place to a new location or something like that (we're in heaven, after all, so at least that offers up plenty of possibilities). Anyway, loved the first six episodes. Yeah, Janet's my favorite, too.
  21. That was my first thought too. My second thought was that "God" would say "Alas, I'm currently not at home, so please leave a message." As it turns out, that was actually pretty close... That ending was crazy. I expected pretty much everyone to die (was hoping against hope for Emily to make it), but I thought we'd get a bloody massacre with the Cowboy, so I'm a bit disappointed in that regard. Instead we got the most deaths by manure explosion this side of the average Crusader Kings playthrough. Well, it was a shitty town, so it's kinda fitting and the puns write themselves. Overall, the finale was like the whole season - uneven and messy, but crazy and fun when it was on and almost joyfully dark at times. I'll come back for next season, hopefully they can clean up some issues with the writing.
  22. If they're indeed a couple, it would make a ton of sense for them to be Genesis' parents. That would probably imply that they're more powerful than we thought - they always struck me as the low-level, do-the-dirty-work type, but maybe they just screwed up (by conceiving Genesis, losing control of it or both) and are now being punished. Or were given a last chance to retrieve Genesis, but now that they took too long (and haven't answered their phone for a while), Heaven got impatient and decided to send the other angel to take care of the problem - and Fiore and DeBlanc basically went rogue in order to protect their child. That weird mixture is exactly what I like. You get a pretty good feeling for where to place the other characters, but she's the only truly unpredictable wild card so far. I found her pragmatic, nonchalant way of dealing with the Mayor problem really refreshing, as opposed to all the constant moral dilemmas you see when the good guys struggle to take out a villain that clearly needs to be offed - it's not like she killed some innocent kid or burned a puppy.
  23. Maybe it's some sort of purgatory? Anyway, fun episode. That groundhog day in hell stuff lasted a little bit too long for my taste and I could've done without slapping "HELL" in big letters over it, but whatever - the show can be pretty confusing, so better to err on the side of caution I guess. Emily's my favorite character along with Cassidy, loved how casual she was in getting rid of the mayor (after getting some inspiration from Psycho, to boot!). Yeah, that wasn't very nice, but who cares - this show is stock full of fucked up people, so I'm just rooting for the fun ones. I hope she sticks around for a while, but I'm not overly optimistic - that finale is going to be a bloodbath. Huh, she's one of the good guys? I totally got the opposite impression.
  24. Can we please kill that little brat? He's annoying af.
