  1. *Shudders* Oh dear, a season featuring Mykelti and Tony. ๐Ÿ˜” Well, at least the snark will be good!
  2. Holy Cow! Words fail me. ๐Ÿคฎ Oh, its a Joke! Went right over my head! GOOD ONE!!
  3. Agreed. I bought a bamboo pillow and burned up with it. Same thing with My Pillow. Hot, hot, hot. Since menopause I can't seem to get cool enough. ๐Ÿคจ
  4. I'm heading out to Colorado in about a week to put "boots on the ground" to check out some towns a little more closely than I can in an 18-wheeler. We love Walmart, but we're not gonna be living in their parking lots when we retire. ๐Ÿคฃ I'm taking my pick-um-up truck and meeting my DH there when he rolls up into the area behind me. It's gonna be SO NICE to have a vehicle of our own out there for the whole summer! ๐Ÿฅฐ We've been planning to move for a few years, now, and been looking for an area to retire in. We're not getting any younger, so here we go. We LOVE Colorado, and we want to spend our last remaining decades here. I'm so looking forward to it, and its gonna be a busy, exciting summer. ๐Ÿž Y'all wish me luck that I find a nice place for us.
  5. I don't understand why Meri would want to be with someone who is so clearly in love with someone else. She really needs therapy to move past the past she had with Kootie.
  6. Well, I WAS moving to the greater Denver area next December! Gaaahhh! ๐Ÿ˜›
  7. I chuckled out loud when I read your story, Calico. Thanks so much for sharing. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  8. I think we need a clueless old lady button. Maybe a woman with a blue rinse in her hair holding the ubiqutious garden hose?
  9. In the past I used the sad emoji if the situation being posted about makes me feel sad, or if I find the posted situation sad for those involved. If I disagree with any post I generally just move on, and I don't think I ever used the sad emoji as a weapon against fellow posters. I wish they'd bring it back.
  10. Agreed. I wish Maddie the best but seriously, writing down info to pass along to other nurses, doctors, and also general record keeping will be a large part of her job. To be sure, jotting down a post on Instagram is far different than jotting down patient notes, but it is a pattern is somewhat concerning.
  11. They really do look like they're having a good time. No wonder Christine finally got a clue. Feel bad for her, but now she has a chance a real happiness with a real man. I wish her luck. ๐Ÿ™‚
  12. I also think it may be a way to divert attention to herself, definitely a Kootie move! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  13. I'm gonna go against the flow, here. I don't really care for any of Christine's kids, with the exception of Aspyn, and the one who has scoliosis. There's something about most of that bunch that they've inherited from Christine, a snarkiness that's both passive-aggressive and in your face at the same time that's off-putting for me. That's the the reason I'm not a huge fan of Christine's, although I'm so glad that she got out from under Kootie and Robyn and has her own life. I normally don't chat negatively about kids under 18 because it's so unfair, but Truely reminds me so much of Kootie. It's in the eyes, perhaps? Anyway, I think she gets her unfavorable quirks from him and everyone knows how I feel about him. Of all Christine's kids, she and Mykelti are the ones I like the least. Still, I'm trying to remain neutral on Truely until she grows into her personality.
  14. Special place in heaven for folks like Michelle. R.E.S.P.E.C.T!
  15. @Monagatuna, Unless there's pressing business at home, I go on every run. Oops, I tell a lie. Since I have aurithis and I'm terrified of slipping on ice, in 2020 I finally surrendered to staying home for around 6 weeks in winter so that it's easier on DH. It's worked out well, as we also take vacations, then. For us, a typical run is 4 weeks. During the summer they are 8-12 weeks. We can stay out as long as we want, but the longest run for us was 12 weeks. Before 2020, we were gone around 11 months a year. However, that's small potatoes for some cowboy truckers, who are out for a year or more. They usually have a story to tell with that, though. ๐Ÿคฅ I love trucking with all my heart. After grad school I could've pulled down some good coin in corporate America, but this is in my blood. As they say, "A bad day of trucking beats the best day working in a double-wide in some company's cube-farm." There's something about running over the same migration trails and (eventually) trade routes of those they came before us, such as the native Americans, the explorers and the fur traders, the pioneers and the gold rushers, and the Pony Express. As we drive over portions of the Oregon trail, the Lewis and Clark routes, Buffalo Bill's old stomping grounds, and the gold rush shortcuts, I believe we are a part of that great chain, and that makes me happy. To be sure, truckers too will go the way of Pony Express, when automated trucks take to the road sometime in the near future. But for now, those trade routes still belong to us and we're gonna get after it. ๐Ÿ˜
  16. Look, Imma trucker's wife and I LIVE on the road. I've no fashion sense to speak of so I've no room to talk. I dream of clearance racks filled with workaday clothes that can stand up to my lifestyle that also look a little feminine at the same time. Just because I'm a trucker doesn't mean I don't wanna smell and look presentable! There are days that I reek of diesel fumes, city driving, and truckstop food. I bet that I STILL look better than Meri does in those God-awful lulano rags. It's not that the clothes are torn or dirty, they are just HORRIBLE. PERIOD. What grown woman wants to run around like that? What woman wants her fat rolls on display through a viciously thin fabric covered in Eiffel Tower penises? That outfit she's wearing is hideous! On top of that, she's TOO BIG for it! Sheesh!
  17. June should be canceled for sure. ๐Ÿคจ Pumpkin has turned into a relatively decent person, no thanks to June. She's had a tough row to hoe, but she's in there swinging. I'm rooting for her and her little family. ๐Ÿ™
  18. Crikey, Mariah looks old in this pic. The camera added 20 years on her. That squinty-eye, toothy grin is sooo grad school, try and get an updated look, y'all. ๐Ÿ™„
  19. She looks like she's wearing a deflated hot air balloon...
  20. How hard is it to just askthe owner? "Hi, I was passing by and your lilacs are so pretty. Would you mind if I took a few? Thank you!" You get to meet your neighbor, and spread some much needed good cheer and compliments in the hood. ๐Ÿ™‚ Can't believe I'm taking Meri's side. Can't believe I'm believing Meri. ๐Ÿ™„
  21. Not on any social media. L was way back in my college days but once I was out of that arena i shut it all down. I post in a couple of forums here and there but that's it. If I lived in China my social credit score would be dismal. ๐Ÿ˜› And yes, Irate, I feel it did improve my life. All of that bragging, veiled insults, and politics that I don't want to talk about is gone. I get grief from my family and am left out of the loop at times ( on purpose, from some) due to that a few only post their family stuff on Facebook, but frankly they're usually the ones I don't care to hear from anyways. Funny, though. They ALWAYS seem to find us when it's time for wedding, shower, and housewarming gifts.
  22. I can see both you and Pickle's points! We're out in Colorado at the moment and I love being able to breathe. I love how hot it is during the day and how it cools down at night. My beloved South is prolly still covered in yellow spores, and hitting the 90s. Humidity at 70%. Sheesh. ๐Ÿคช
