  1. I find it interesting to have the Toyman and Adam Blake intro episodes back-to-back given their comic history.... I wonder if they'll go that route on the show.
  2. They merged two different DC characters here....Vandal Savage and Hath-Set. The former is a caveman who gained immortality from a meteor. The latter was the guy who killed the Hawks and reincarnated just like they do. Interesting that they merged them.
  3. Yeah, I definitely remember there being talk a time or two about Ellie going back to work, now that Stan is a bit older. Including last season when she went lawyer on the owner of Dog Travis's puppies.
  4. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this show was actually renewed after all: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2014/07/31/undateable-renewed-for-season-two-by-nbc/289155/
  5. I really enjoyed this show. From what I've read it's unlikely to be renewed, which makes me sad.
  6. No, that'd be Sparky Boom Boom Woman. Zuko even awkwardly mentioned her predecessor on the trip there.
  7. I never got into Voyager when it originally ran. I was in college for the first 4 seasons so I never had time to pick it up. I recently got around to watching the entire series on Netflix and I was pretty pleasantly surprised. There was a decent handful of episodes that I skipped after being bored by the concept, but overall it was a good show. It wasn't quite DS9 level, but almost on-par with TNG at times (I loved TNG first run, but I feel like it doesn't hold up as well in rewatch for me....DS9 and Voyager's higher level of serialization work better for me than TNG's more standalone feel).
  8. Personally, I feel like Smith is the weakest of the 3 modern Doctors. Not bad at all, I just think Tennant and Eccelston were much better :)
  9. I thought it was put into the space between the side of the door and the doorframe when the door was closed. So when the door is opened, it immediately falls out; if it were on top, there's a chance it wouldn't fall. Also, I don't think that Skye would assume that Ward killed May, since if he had, May's lanyard would still have been showing up on the tablet like Koenig's did.
  10. I get that. That makes a lot of sense to me for Barney, since he seemed like he really was tired of who he had been. But I can also see that when he failed (and think...he failed with Nora, then Quinn, then Robin), I could see him giving up....though I'd expect him to self-destruct, not snap back to being happy with that life. Robin bothers me less because I never really felt like she evolved, more like she just got bad writing from around the time she started dating Barney the first time. ;) It didn't feel like character development with her for the last several seasons, but like they grafted a new personality onto her.
  11. Overall, I enjoyed it. I wish they'd spent the last season with Tracey as Ted's girlfriend though. It would have been even nicer if this one episode could have been spread over a season or two. I didn't love this ending, but I at least enjoyed it. I think Robin and Barney's endings (before the Ted/Robin thing) were really true to their original characters. How long had it been since we really saw the Robin whose career trumps everything else? Quite a while I think. And yeah, realistically Barney was never going to manage a long term relationship given his personality. So I was good with all of that. Lilly and Marshall basically went on how we'd expect...judge, more kids, etc.
  12. I'd guess it was the way Ru was talking in the video/mail. She did kinda sorta sound like a boxing announcer. It was a similar cadences to "And now, in this corner...."
  13. See, I liked Ben's lip sync much more than Darienne's, so I didn't get the Ru's choice there.
  14. As a major fan of GI Joe back in the 80's, I was laughing out loud for most of the episode. I guess you really have to have been a Joe fan and a current Community fan for this episode to hit on all cylinders.
